I found the course very interesting and informative. Looking into a range of different perspectives, view-points and research methods.

When I adopted a dog in 2014 who was considered “difficult”, I had no idea how profoundly that decision would shape my future.
Although I completed my studies over a year ago, the impact of my experience with ISCP continues to shape my professional practice to this day. What began as a personal journey soon led me into volunteering with a rescue organisation and, driven by the need to better support my dog and other dogs living in shelters, I started seeking formal education in canine behaviour.

I have always valued understanding the why behind behaviour, rather than simply being told what to do. I was looking for an approach that encouraged critical thinking, ethical practice and evidence-based learning, instead of traditional, prescriptive methods.

In 2020, after several years of training and already developing my own professional project, I found exactly that at ISCP. I completed the ISCP Level 5 Diploma in Canine Behaviour with distinction, followed by the ISCP Level 3 Diploma in Aggressive Responses, also with distinction.

ISCP provided a safe, supportive learning environment throughout what was both a challenging and deeply rewarding journey. I felt consistently respected and well supported by everyone I interacted with.

In a world that often feels increasingly tense and marked by setbacks in empathy and understanding, it is essential that spaces like ISCP exist, promoting education grounded in science, ethics and compassion, so that we do not move backwards in the way we relate to and care for our animal companions.

Through the ISCP, I became qualified to Level 6 in dog behaviour and subsequently spent many happy years running a holistic dog training and behaviour business. I also made many friends and had many wonderful experiences that would not have been possible without their support.

I was very disappointed with the ISCP course I took. I wanted to do the Dog Behaviour course but was told you have to do the Dog Trainer course first. In my opinion it's a poor quality course. The notes have a lot of mistakes and missing info. In the beginning I sent screenshots to ISCP who said they'd correct them but still haven't.

In my opinion the content is very basic and unless you're a complete beginner you won't learn much. There is almost no practical dog training in the course (1 assignment of 12). The course mostly involves writing thousands of words in academic assignments. In my opinion you won't become a competent dog trainer from this course and you need to be very academic to get through it.

The feedback I received was not helpful for becoming a dog trainer, only about Harvard-style referencing and document format.

Other online dog trainer courses out there are primarily video coaching therefore far more useful than than this one in my opinion.

When I emailed ISCP about this they were unreasonable. I still had a significant amount of time left so asked if I could switch to the (much cheaper) rescue course hoping I might get something from it, they said no.

Someone said ISCP give discounts to those in dog rescue but this was not the case for me. I was running a dog rescue when I booked onto this course and wasn't given this discount. They also weren't helpful/reasonable when I asked to switch to the rescue course.

Finally, I noticed the management keeps changing hands which to me seems a bad sign.

I have just listened to The 2 day ISCP 2025 Psychology summit with top, world class presenters. Every dog owner or professional would do well to listen to these people and get a better understanding of what it's like to be a dog in our humancentric world. Awesome. Thank you

I attended the Big Psychology Summit on 1st/2nd November and it was absolutely fantastic. Very informative and a real essential for my professional development (and also to help with satisfying my own dog's needs too!). Would absolutely recommend!

I’ve just completed this amazing Summit - 2 days of outstanding presentations by some of the top experts in their fields. An intensive 2 days of study and the webinars remain available enabling me to catch up on some sessions I was unable to attend live. Would certainly consider joining future ISCP events.

Since I joined The International School of Canine Psychology, I have been made welcome, I have had zoom linkups with the principal, who was very encouraging and reassuring.

Over the weekend I attended The ISCP big psychology summit. It’s was fascinating. We had amazing speakers from around the world, it has left me wanting to seek more about canine psychology.

I’ve just completed the ISCP’s Big Psychology Summit 2025. Two whole days diving deep into the canine mind and world. Excellent presentations from some of the leading experts in the field. So much valuable information to take away and reflect on. It’s also available on life time access so even better I can revisit it all, again and again.
As a rescue dog caregiver/guardian I felt honoured to be able access the material as it was primarily developed for professionals working in the field.

Fabulous 2 days spent with The ISCP Big Psychology Summit and all the amazing speakers. Learnt so much of the canine mind, body and soul and to 'understand our dogs for who they are' (Marc Bekoff)

Did a quick free course before investing in a full course and it was great, nice easy reading at my own pace.

Even after being in this field for 20 plus years there's still things to learn. Great course and material was thoughtfully presented, coursework was commensurate with degree level work and feedback provided throughout was timely and helpful.

The Level 5 Diploma is an informative course that provides an excellent foundation for anyone wanting to become a dog behaviour practitioner. The content is thorough and thought-provoking, offering a deep and academic understanding of canine behaviour and training.

Although time-consuming, the course is well worth the effort. Each module is carefully designed to build knowledge and confidence. The knowledge you gain is detailed and equips you with the skills to effectively assess and address a range of canine behavioural challenges.

Really educational and nourishing learning journey making you think and stretch yourself academically and professionally. I really enjoyed, learnt so much and developed personally and professionally with my course. Always felt i had support and contact should i need it. Thank you!

Took over a year to complete their Level 5 Equivalent Diploma in Canine Behaviour. When I was completing it, I was a "force free" professional and had been for years. Last year I began to come away from just ff methods and began using all quadrants. Now I no longer can say I have a diploma with this organisation and it was basically revoked. I bought the diploma, per unit, so probably spent about £1700 or more and just because I changed my methods, it was revoked.

People go to prison with qualifications and don't have their qualifications taken away from them.....

I actually left a review with this organisation earlier this year but I see they flagged it up and the review was hidden.

Clearly they just want people to see the positives only.
