Wonderful time enjoying a mystery and a meal!!
My partner and I just attended a showing of "A Noteworthy Crime" in New Haven. It was our first Mystery Dinner theatre experience and will certainly not be our last. We found the story engaging and very humorous. The interaction of the actors with the audience kept the flow going. I particularly enjoyed having the actors embedded among the dinner guests.
Every actor performed their role beautifully. I would call them all out but that would be a bit of a spoiler. They were good at being on script and also improvising based on the reaction of the regular guests.
We were often interacting with other dinner guests to see who the suspects might be but that interaction was not entirely necessary (for those nervous about talking to random strangers). The actors are not shy to call on the guests though to introduce themselves or partake in other parts of the performance, so be prepared for that.
I found the meal quite delightful as well. I chose the Salmon. At one point, I was a little too enthralled with the puzzle that I forgot to finish my entire dessert, oh well.
Based on other reviews, we were expecting to have a great time and we did. We can't wait to see when their next script comes out!
