One of the cheddars I ordered did not have a strong enough flavour and I disagree with the description. The gorgonzola was amazing though!

Regarding soft cheese dates, farmhouse and artisan cheeses naturally have shorter shelf lives compared to mass-produced varieties. We typically receive soft cheeses with a shelf life of 2-3 weeks. However, the beauty of soft cheeses is that they continue to develop in flavour as they ripen, reaching their 'peak' around the date stated on the packaging. With 13 days remaining, I am happy to confirm that your Vacherin Mont d'Or was well within the norm for fine cheese.
