Do not purchase their groupon

I would not recommend purchasing a Groupon from First Dental Studio or any service of theirs based on my experience. Initially, I bought a Groupon deal and scheduled an appointment, which I had to cancel. The studio assured me they would honour the voucher for a future booking. After cancelling a subsequent appointment, which I did in advance, they allowed me to reschedule without any indication of an issue. However on arrival for the rescheduled appointment, I was informed that my voucher would not be honoured due to multiple cancellations. This was particularly frustrating as there was no communication of this policy beforehand, when I was rebooking. Living an hour from the city, I had chosen to try this studio based on the Groupon offer. While the receptionist was nice, the lack of clear communication was not it. A straightforward explanation during our phone conversation would have been greatly appreciated to avoid unnecessary inconvenience. Why let me keep rescheduling and then not honour the voucher? Why not let me know? Based on my experience, I cannot recommend their services.

Blatantly ripped off

I booked a Groupon for this place and told them that when I arrived. After the clean they refused to honour the Groupon because I had been there once before. They made me pay full price on top of the money I paid Groupon. They knew I was a returning customer when I arrived and if they told me there would be an issue then I would have never proceeded with the appointment. It ended up costing $178 for a 20 minute appointment. Very disappointed and will not be returning.

We are sorry that you feel this way, Lee. However, the fine print on your Groupon clearly states that it is for new patients only. You already used the same Groupon last year when you saw us for the first time. We explained to you at that appointment, you cannot use another Groupon for your next 6 month checkup and clean appointment but quoted you verbally and in a printed treatment plan, it would be discounted to $99 instead of $233 if you return in 6 months. Even though it is nearly 12 months not 6 months, we still only charged you $99 for your returning patient checkup and clean today. You did not tell us you wanted to use another Groupon until after your appointment. You cannot book with us through Groupon as you suggested you did. You have to call us directly to book and you would have been told you cannot use another Groupon if you mentioned you wanted to use one at the time of booking. You were told we have not redeemed your new Groupon and can get this refunded through them. You threatened to write nasty reviews about us if we did not let you use the second Groupon. We did not give in hence you wrote this review and other ones on other review sites.

One of the best!

I've been going to Dr Vincent the last 4 visits and always walk out a happy patient. Going to the dentist used to be a dread for me until i was introduced to Dr Vincent. He explained every step of the way and let me know what i should do if needed. He is genuine and easy to talk to. He is a God Sent to myself as well as my daughter. Have i not found him, i would still be walking around in pain and most probably be addicted to pain killer :-) has he not given me the help that i so needed. Going to the city just for dentist is now a trip i look forward to.
