We went as a walking group and everything was terrific
The hotel was very good and the food was 100% , the walks catered for everyone/
Also the guides were fabulous

Had a fantastic time exploring Transylvania with TD Active. From the time of booking the holiday everything ran very smoothly. Beautiful and interesting country. Excellent service throughout. Our guides Raz, Radu and Ana helped turn a good holiday into a great holiday! The depth of their knowledge and willingness to help really made the holiday. Hotels were comfortable and clean. As a solo traveller I really enjoyed the camaraderie of the group, we had great fun. I would have loved an extra day at leisure in Brasov, it's such a beautiful place. Always nice to leave wishing you could stay longer!

A beautiful destination did a lot of the work, but the hotels and guides really made it a wonderful trip.
Will definitely travel again with TDActive if this is the calibre of trip they put together

Excellent trip. Everything was taken care of from the time I arrived at Dublin Airport to the time I got back to Dublin. All the hotel's were top class and well located. The food included was excellent and the guides provided recommendations for days that dinner wasn't included. The guides were all brilliant (shout out to Moon!). Definitely got to see and do things that I wouldnt have managed to do myself. One suggested tweak to the itinerary - the floating markets in Can Tho were disappointing and certainly not worth the overnight trip. Given how packed the schedule was in Hanoi, I think an extra free day here for self exploration instead would have been nice.

Madeira Walking Holiday- a great experience, 5 varied hillside hikes with spectacular landscapes, forest trails and levadas, lunch by waterfalls deep in the forest - an adventure not to be missed! Very well managed throughout by an excellent guide Olena.Hotel in Machico by the seafront was a high point. Hotel in Funchal lacked atmosphere and a social meeting space however this was a minor point as the capital city Funchal (by the sea) had lots of atmosphere, interesting places to visit and offered good entertainment and hospitality. Nice group of 22 hill walkers.
Overall, a great active holiday experience.

I have travelled with the TD before but this was my first TDActive holiday and a wonderful experience - everything went smoothly and our guide Elena was lovely and so helpful. Tellingly, most of the group had been on other TDActive holidays so we got lots of information to help in future plans. We felt safe, encouraged and enjoyed the spectacular scenery.

I found the whole travel experience very positive. Hotels were v good, enjoyed the foods and great guides. Loved the walking holiday.

The whole experience was great and it was the Local guides who made it very special and memorable. Everything was well organised by Travel Department. Accomodation was excellent while the activities and tours were week researched and most enjoyable. It was the local Guides - Moon in Hanoi Tuan (Tommy) in Hoi An and Hui and Sam in Saigon that made the holiday special with their amazing knowledge, passion, good humour and friendliness. A special mention for Moon who was one of the best guides I have ever encountered in many years of travelling.

Excellent guides & very well planned. I highly recommend TD Active Holidays after my first experience travelling with them. I will certainly travel with them in the future.

Great choice of hiking routes. Guides were very helpful. Lovely hotels and good food.

Well organised trip. Excellent guides. Beautiful locations. Walking not to onerous and suitable for those with moderate levels of fitness. Options always available if weather conditions were not ideal. The coach journeys were comfortable and not excessive in duration. Hotels in both locations were very good. The group got on well together which added to the enjoyment of the holiday. Credit must be given to the guides for their part in creating an enjoyable and informative experience.
Overall a great holiday.

Excellent guide...good food in Brasov...however hotel in Bucharest did not have enough rooms and we had the embarrassment of having to share a room though I paid for single. Not sure of exact date. Breakfast good but dinner and packed lunches poor.

I had a fabulous trip to Nepal. The tour guide was exceptional. Everything was so well organised without any detail missed whilst in Nepal. However, I was really disappointed and annoyed that myself and my husband were not seated together on any of our flights - even though our tour was booked as a couple, under one reference number. It is also disappointing that on these long haul flights you cannot make specific seating requests, even if there is an additional payment required.

The guides were excellent and very knowledgeable. The hotels were good. Issue arose with a hotel which closed with no notice and the work the team did to get everyone into accommodation was amazing.

Our Walking holiday in Slovenia was fantastic. Beautiful scenery, great hikes - choice of a moderate or challenging one each day. Well organised. Super local guides, very knowledgeable, English speaking. Great fun. Highly recommend for genuine hikers. If you are not accustomed to regularly walking and challenging yourself, go for a more leisurely walking trip than this one

I was met at Porto Airport by Jose, along with 18 or so other people who were booked. Jose spoke excellent English, and was our tour guide for the duration of our holiday, we received excellent care, and great knowledge of history and places,
Our driver was very accommodating, and if you got delayed from the rest of the group, the bus driver and guide would track back to ensure you were alright, and u had the option of using the bus for some of the treks if necessary, the hotels were very stylish, super clean, very accomadating, food was superb, with great selection, for breakfast and evening dinner. Packed lunches were well presented and more than enough for any appetite.
Certainly couldn't fault this experience at all, only thing was the jurney after we landed, in Porto was 3 hours + bus jurney to our destination, both ways, other than that no complaints at all, if your thinking of doing this part of the camino, go ahead, I traveled solo, and always felt comfortable and secure, it's also great opportunity to meet others. I can't praise our guide and bus driver enough, they really took great care of all our group from beginning to end.

Travel department has everything organised for our trip so we don't have to worry about a think
