What makes tappily stand out from the rest is the fast & easy way to navigate around the app! plus the breathing space it gives you knowing it's not going to cost you the earth,but don't take my word for it...give it a go!!

It's great, you have full control of the limit, how much you want to pay back and many more options. It's simple and never let me down.

On the positive side,Tappily gave me credit when I was on a low credit score, which was a huge help, and in the first instance the flexibility and instant borrowing worked for me. Then things started to go wrong. Before going into detail, I should add that I made regular repayments and my financial circumstances did not change. Last Christmas, I was offered a credit increase in the week before Christmas, which I accepted, and then in mid-January they took a large repayment from my account which was destined for an online grocery shop and had been preauthorised online, but not charged. I logged into Tappily to borrow back the money to cover the shopping, and without any warning, my credit limit was reduced and I had no credit or means to cover the cost. I contacted customer services and got a reply about responsible lending, but my circumstances had not changed, other than being paid earlier in December, like most people do. It is not responsible to take a repayment which was already pre-authorised, but not charged, and give someone no warning that they are going to take away their credit. It caused me a lot of problems.

On other occasions, I have gone to pay for essential goods like fuel and found that Tappily had taken a payment, leaving very little in my account, and me having to borrow back from them again. So this became a cycle - Tappily taking an amount out of my wages each month, then me having to borrow it back, minus interest, as my disposable income was not great at the time.

In the end, I got so fed up that I opened a savings account to put my money there where they couldn’t touch it, and kept my bank account under £10, then transferred money over just before paying for things. They still took a chunk of my wages each month, but I stopped them taking payments during the month. However, I still had issues with repayments being taken if I needed to cover an online grocery shop which had been pre-authorised, as I had to leave it my account overnight until it was charged by the supermarket. When I complained again about this, I was told that their system detects credits of over £50 and will trigger a repayment. They also said I could use the sliders on the dashboard, but I couldn’t change these as I still had a balance to pay. Thankfully, I’ve now paid off my balance and closed my account.

What I like is the money is there when you need it immediately no questions you may pay a little more but it's well worth it, first class
