Paid $58 for a cream that simply wasn’t worth the price. I requested a refund based on what was advertised on their Instagram ads, but they asked me to return the opened product.

While I understand their policy to some extent, it raised serious concerns for me about product hygiene and quality control. It makes me wonder whether products returned by customers are being resold. The cream I received could have been previously opened by someone else, and the next customer could receive mine.

If you’re charging $58 for a product that costs around $20 at Chemist Warehouse, I would expect a premium-brand experience with premium customer service and trust standards — not something that feels like a cheap corner shop operation.

Dont waste your money - buy dermaveen which is much cheaper.

I have venous excema on my lower leg. I bought my first Sven’s order a while ago. It soothed the excema a little. However, I was getting a huge and ugly itchy build up of product on my skin. I soon realised that I had skin bacteria that needed treating. I got a can of prescribed Enstilar for three days and the bacteria and itching settled.
Now, I’m back to Svens as a maintenance schedule. This time I’ll wash with Sven’s special cleanser with its antibiotic feature, rub in moisturiser and then apply the ointment on excema prone areas.
Sven’s balm is very settling on my lips which have sun skin lesions. Additionally I’m using it on cuts and my nails which are severely damaged as I work outside.

The product is great It works for me follow the instructions recommended.
The feeling on my ezcama skin is healing slowly from years of damage from steroid cream.
Be patient and give yourself time to heal.

The product is the first thing that has worked for me in 25 years of hand eczema, weeping, bleeding, pain and burning hands. Topical cortisone products prescribed by dermatologists, & hydrating creams, gloves, medical bandages and non soap washes including those from the eczema society worked very briefly but then didn't after time. All of these have been a huge expense over the years with not much benefit. The cortisone creams thinned my skin making it vulnerable to cuts, splitting and pain.
Sven's garden ointment worked within 3 weeks - my hands have never felt better. I now consistently use the cream each day and I use the ointment twice a day and my skin barrier is better than ever.
I was normally avoiding anything with fragrances but have found this is non irritant and smells nice.
A hand eczema facebook page moderator debunked products that were not approved by them. I however feel that the missing connection all these years has been - killing the staph bacteria and supporting the skin barrier. Thank you Sven's island team. You've made a huge difference to me. Although the product is good the customer service is atrocious. I've cancelled my subscription twice but they keep sending the product out every month and take money from my account. The website keeps showing a error when I try to cancel on the site. I cancelled through emails but they don't get back to me. Very disappointed 😞

Came with easy tracking, arrived in 2-3 days. Packaging good. My baby has had itchy eczema for months. Only 2 days in & it’s almost non existent!! I’ve gone through so many expensive creams until I found this. Not gonna lie, I thought all the good reviews were fake but nuuu uhhhh!

Absolutely annoying! I used a discount code and it signed me up to a subscription without my knowledge! I was using my card ordering creams for my unwell mother that has spent hundreds and hundreds on creams with nothing working! Extremely annoyed at this and the sneaky scam like way of the website! If I could see you face to face oh god! Super annoyed!

I saw some people also posted that they were under subscription service without noticing it. It also happened to me. I found Sven’s Island New Zealand while I’m searching for for my sensitive skin. I read through online reviews and saw positive reviews so I thought of trying it out & opened an account then I received email containing the discount code for first order. So I thought of giving it a try & bought it online & app liked the discount code. The truth is discount code give is for the subscription service. But I that information wasn’t clear enough for customer to see it when they received the discount email code. So like others I didn’t know it & order my first order. Then next month I saw another order email which I didn’t place manually. After I contacted support & they said I have active subscription. I think company is using website dark pattern to trap customers which is not good to see. They did offer me to return the order for refund but I’ve to pay the return shipping cost. If they are the real good company I think they shouldn’t use this kind of techniques. If you think from customer perspectives, why would a first time customer would like to sign up for subscription without trying their products? Lesson learned is never trust any discount code or marketing email without inspecting in detail.

Doesn't care about the customer. My package arrived damaged with cream everywhere and this is what they had to say about it:

We’re really sorry to hear that your order arrived damaged 😔 Thank you for letting us know. Unfortunately, once the item leaves our warehouse, we don’t have control over transit, and the shipping company is fully responsible for any damage during delivery.

A $15 gift Card does not make up for an $80 purchase. This was 100% their faul for shipping a tub of cream in a thin plastic bag!

Additionally, the free gifts were not even included in the package. False advertising.

This product works, I've had this condition for 18 months and I've tried the usual. I would highly recommend this product.

Service was super fast. Received same week I ordered. The product was the only natural product that worked on my daughter’s eczema consistently. I ordered a 250g jar, lasted 1 month, applied morning and night. It has stopped the eczema from spreading and reduced the inflammation. The scabs are slowly healing, no new eczema appearing. My daughter doesn’t scratch during the night anymore. I am so fortunate to have stumbled across Sven’s island. The only thing I will say, is that it’s very expensive, even when on special. I won’t be able to continue affording this on a daily basis.
I would recommend for those wanting to go natural and off the steroids.

So frustrated with lacking communication, no shipping updates, long wait and I tried to avoid getting stuck in subscription but apparently im subscribed. Again no email about this. Shocking customer service means I wont order this great product again. Will make my own. Plenty of manuka and kanuka growing around me

We placed an order on 1/04/26. We live in Melbourne. It has taken 21 days to arrive!! Our son has been suffering from Eczema all his life and we were really hoping for a quick response. Unfortunately it was not to be. Not only that, the package is incomplete !!! , missing the Gentle Barrier body wash. Dear me. Our experience with Sven, If you're suffering from Eczema, be prepared to wait a lengthy time to receive your item's, maybe a month.
Dear Sven, do not accept a payment if you do not have stock. If you can't meet demand, let the people know that they'll be waiting up to a month. We now wish we never parted with almost $100 and waited so long for an incomplete package, and have since re-booked to see a dermatologist. And no, this is not a matter of postal delays. Postal services are all running as expected globally as we (and everyone we know) have received items from Europe, Asia and Australia all within normal timeframes (5-10 days), during this same period. Unfortunately we can't rate the product, this is purely our experience regarding the purchase and lengthy delays & incomplete package.

Finally, a product that works for our son! He has had eczema since he was newborn and nothing we have tried worked, apart from topical steroids, which we try to avoid. Enter, Miracle Manuka. By day 4, we noticed the redness going down, by day 10, the sores were drying out and starting to heal. We are now 16 days into the journey, and while his skin is still recovering and itchy, we couldn’t be happier with the results.

It didn’t work for my 7 years old , it actually made her eczema worse , they say 60 days money back guarantee but I tried to contact them no one replied my email . I bought both cream and balm both are not helpful and made thing worse .

The product does not work after using it on my son for one month, then i requested a refund as there website states that “if product doesn’t work, will refund your purchase with no questions ask.” I emailed them and they would offer me discounts of $15 dollars to try other products. I told them they wasted my time and effort of using it daily for one month. Not going to try any other of your products just give my refund back as your website states. Now they ask me to send their product back to their address and they would refund my back. But the cost of sending it back i would have to pay for myself. This manuka cream and balm which i used is a scam. So is there website stating no questions ask for refund. They have breached their legal rights of fraud allegations. I will seek further law suit against them soon, but im writing a review to warn all those they was going to give this product that doesn't work a try. As you would be wasting your time and effort. Just for a measly $60 they wouldn’t follow their obligations.

I am an eczema sufferer who shares my skin journey openly online, so I was extremely disturbed to discover that this brand is using my face in a paid advertisement without my consent.

Not only have I never used or endorsed this product, but the image has also been altered using AI to promote it.

The photo they have taken was from a deeply personal time in my life, shortly after the death of a close family member. It has absolutely no connection to their product.

Using someone’s real skin journey in this way is not only unethical, it is misleading to people who are genuinely looking for help with their eczema.

I would strongly question the integrity of a brand that takes real people’s faces, alters them, and uses them to sell products without permission.

They seem to think I have chosen a subscription, so they have charged my account again. I have emailed them and I only get automatically replies. They have no phone number on there web page and only a third party logistics address in NZ. Any business that does make it easy to talk to anyone with a real problem is bound to be doggy. So far not reply and no refund. Beware.
