SUSTRANS is an ageist organisation that claims to be a charity and takes money from the Welsh Government to the detriment of the majority of Welsh people who do not want to participate in Active Travel.
It focuses on obtaining government money to develop its aims of getting people to walk or cycle instead of using their cars. How mad is that in Wales? - a country with many many hills, constantly bad weather and an ageing population. How are the sick, elderly and infirm supposed to walk or cycle everywhere and why should they simply to satify the demands of a few climate warriors? Their utopian view of the realities of life is simply not reflected in the everyday experiences of real people who need their own transport to live their best lives.

To start with Sustrans is not a company. They are asking for money all the time when they get enough ftom the government. Everything they fo is a waste of money and they are bringing Wales down.

Just an extension of a money grabbing Welsh government.

Sustans are a registered charity, they have 20 employees with a collective wage of 2 million pounds. They receive a yearly income of 100 million pounds from the Welsh government in the form of grants, donations and consultancy. In return the Welsh government implement illogical green policies that are actually more damaging to the environment ( 20 mph scheme, Ugandan tree planting scheme, the destruction of natural habitat to build cycle paths, etc.) whilst the impoverished Welsh NHS, education and social system go under funded. I can only assume this close partnership is a result of the Welsh Transport Minister being a former chairman of Sustrans. I can't condone an environmental organisation that actually creates more harm to the environment and operates through greed and corruption.

Very, very bad

Leftie parasites promoting cycling as opposed to the more realistic option of motoring. We live in the wrong climate to expect everyone to cycle to and from work, only to arrive soaked by rain and sweat. They gobble up vast sums of government money to promote the anti-motorist agenda for the Welsh Assembly Government. What a waste of our taxes!

Lining your CEO and other employees pockets with Welsh resident tax payers money "Donated" to them by Welsh Government. Corruption at its finest, shame on you :-(

I give to charity when I chose to and to the charity I chose. I do not appreciate the Welsh government using my money to fund this organisation.

As a charity how are you able to accept money from the government? In other words from the tax payers

The more I read about this :charity: the more questions are raised, Welsh government seem to be bank rolling them. We don't need this charity dictating to Welsh government about roads and the beauty of cycling, how much money have Welsh government given in grants to them? Why is no one looking at where the money is actually going. Considering it's actually Welsh government spending money they have not got on roads not sustrans. How much do the directors of this charity get in wages/expenses.

Encourages cycle paths throughout the country that very few people seem to use. The expansion of cycle paths is having a very negative effect on the roads and cyclists in general cause delays. The 'charity' is, in my opinion' merely a puppet of the Senedd in Wales.

May as well be a communist organisation, ruining Wales in trying to achieve what’s obviously now a waste of time. Nobody wants poverty to achieve a useless green agenda.

Sustrans claims to be a charity but is more a left wing left supported political pressure group. Their webpage is deceptive at best, bordering on the totally dishonest. They receive massive amounts of government (taxpayers) money to pay outrageous salaries - a CEO on 130k!!
They actively block any feedback on their Facebook in an obvious attempt to stifle any negative replies to their propaganda.
To call this anti democracy pressure group a charity is wholly wrong - they are repugnant

IMO A pressure group and arms length NGO masquerading as a charity.

They get £100’s of Millions from Government/s & Local Authorities. Their CEO gets £130,000+ pa & 11 others get £70,000+ pa in salaries. Their agenda is to get cars off the roads & get everyone walking or cycling. They claim to be a charity and ask for donations, but in the small print it states your cash is unrestricted and can be used for anything they please, don't give these scum your cash!
