I love the Paris Review but have had extreme difficulty accessing my subscription and found customer service difficult to access; slow and not very polite or helpful. It comes as a surprise and disappointment. I’m someone who actively wants to subscribe and to read the magazine. It would be nice to be treated with greater politeness and helpfulness in resolving a long-standing problem of access.

This is not a literary magazine. It's a spam. Very poor terms (obligatory renewal, need to contact to cancel), no change of heart period, and in my case attempt to renew 3 months before the anniversary of the subscription purchase. Personally, I received only 1 issue, the first. As for customer support, it's absolutely ridiculous. Plus, the online magazine platform for subscribers doesn't make any sense.

I wonder two things: 1. How come there are no reviews online for them , and 2. Why would one remain a subscriber, particularly given the quality has gone downhill.

Would surely not recommend. If you try it, be prepared!
