I would highly recommend using Stroma in any building project that you may be thinking of undertaking. We recently had a single storey extension built, Stroma took away all the stress connected with the project. Their staff are very professional, friendly and they provide an excellent customer service and they are very supportive, we were kept informed of every stage of the project.

Stroma made the whole process simple, What can be a minefield was made easy by continued support and valuable advice. My building control officer, Michael Richards was friendly helpful and gave me advice when needed.

Very helpful service. Stroma's attitude was always very reasonable as well as being insightful. It always felt like a collaboration rather than feeling like we were taking a test.

My warranty inspections were carried out by Claire Turrell on my new build property, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the service she provided. Claire was professional, thorough, and clearly very knowledgeable.

I genuinely cannot understand some of the bad reviews I have read. I found them to be highly professional, timely and efficient. They were firm but fair with their advice and would highly recommend them.

Avoid This Outfit! They Just want your Money!
After weeks and months of chasing them to come out and inspect the final build and sign off the work I got a guy to come out. He spent half an hour looking round, asked some questions and went. Another month goes by and still no certification arrives. Chased them again only to be sent a 6 page form to fill in that the builder (now moved on to another job) and the architect need to fill in and sign and then some extra drawings. Pointless paying for these time wasters. Best go straight to the local authority and get them to do it. I still don't have my certification. But they have now thrown my case out as its taken to long for them resolve. They won't refund the £800 + VAT either. Computer says no! Not a customer focused thread in this organisation. Avoid at all costs.....!

I am an agent. I have had dealings with SBC many times.
My main concern is their online quote. The form that you fill in cannot be saved or even printed after you have filled it in.
After pressing the submit button, that is tje last time you see the form. No copy or retrieval

Avoid at all costs!!! Awful awful company. This is by far the worst company I have dealt with. Unprofessional, disorganised, over promised and under delivered.
We have submitted everything they have asked for, surveyors have visited, and then the company does not provide the certificate. I have been chasing this for months and apparently my case has been escalated to management but management surprisingly never call….

Worked with Bhavik and his team for several years now on 100s of projects. Process has always been seamless and the knowledge and expertise they have shown has proved to be invaluable.

Did the building inspection job well in 2023 - but then when we needed copies of interim reports in 2026 - reports that we had already paid for once - tried to charge us £300 + VAT. We pointed out that the new system means all paperwork is available for free via portal - and that if our project had started just a little later we would have able to downloaded it all for free. They offered to reduce fee to £200 + VAT. It took Stroma employee a few minutes to find our paperwork - but they refused to release it until invoice was paid - but then over a week to actually send us an invoice (despite chasing multiple times) - which meant we missed deadlines with the reports. Don't like companies that try and squeeze every drop of cash out of you. This is one of those companies. Avoid.

My build finished over a year ago. I am still waiting for the sign off certificate. I have chased and chased by phone. Written emails but to no avail. Apparently they are awaiting photographs from the ground workers.
I have now received my sign off certificate.
