I ordered a desk advertised as “fully assembled, hassle free”. After many weeks of chasing it eventually arrived, delivered in separate pieces without any screws to assemble. As a side note, the company advertise that the product is UK made but the desk was in a box with “made in China” stamped on the side. No wonder it took so long to arrive. I have yet to receive any reply at all from customer services so felt compelled to leave this review.

Awful. Placed an order for a chair 9 weeks ago. Said it was in stock. I keep chasing and keep getting a variety of excuses on the delay - none of which are believable. I keep requesting to cancel and get a refund which is not being made. So to sum up....no goods and lost my money. Avoid.

J'ai commandé en décembre 2020 sur le site boss living. Le 12 février 2022, un certain "Dan" de stone butterfly.co.uk m'a écrit pour m'informer que mon article déclaré en stock avait du retard. Je n'ai plus de nouvelles malgré mes relances.

This is a tough one to write and I want to be fair. I ordered my Eames style chair in mid January. The chair took 4 months to arrive. The company was good at replying to my chasing emails (chair listed as in stock at the time of ordering) but I feel without me chasing there would be no updates out of courtesy. The chair arrived and was extremely damaged. So clearly smashed I called the delivery driver to come back and collect. I contacting the company and complained, having strong thoughts to cancel the order totally, they offered. 5% refund and guaranteed new delivery date. This passed but the chair arrived soon after and I am happy with the product. I advise not to assume their stock listings are correct and order items are long. Product good

I rang to enquire about an egg chair. I was told that the finish I wanted wasn’t in stock but was due to arrive within 2 weeks.

Their logistics department rang me not long after that time to book the delivery with me. I got a text message in the morning with a two hour window. Their driver turned up and assembled it.

Wow ! Stunning chair. The service has been impeccable from start to finish.

Fast delivery!

I ordered an eames lounge chair last weekend. I got contacted by their logistics company on Wednesday to book my delivery in. I received my item yesterday! Wow
That was faster than I anticipated.

The chair is just stunning! It adds character to my room. I’m so pleased with it. I highly recommend.

Good morning. I wish for prompt delivery of my product, for which the order was placed 27 November 2020 and subsequently payment was been taken.
I have spoken with CAB and written to trading standards on the matter, as StoneButterfly has failed on numerous occasions to maintain its previous delivery timescales.
Please confirm that the product will be delivered to me “early May” as previously indicated.
To clarify, this should be prior to 16 May 2021. As there are 31 days in May, this would be reasonably considered as “mid May”.
I await confirmation of a delivery date.

Our logistics team have provisionally booked your delivery in for w/c 7th June.
As you have paid for the white glove delivery this would need to be with our own drivers that work for the company, due to you being quite far north it is not an area we travel to on a weekly basis.Our logistics team will call you directly to confirm this delivery formally.

Tuesday 25 May ... still no confirmation of delivery from the logistics team ... I obviously live too far north? My advice, don’t order “white glove service” if you live in the north. They obviously believe only southerners have standards.
Edit. Products arrived. Good quality but nothing spectacularly fantastic that would warrant the delays. Wouldn’t buy again from StoneButterfly unless absolutely necessary.

2 items ordered 7th February - both items 'in stock'.

One item delivered, no sign of second one.

12 Feb 'oh sorry our stock system isn't up to date - it's going to be four weeks'

Mid March 'oh that is going to be April now'

6th April 'oh yeah, it will be early May now'

18th May 'yeah mate, it's going to be June now - we don't know when. Some time in June'

Not honest. Misleading website. Couldn't care less about customer service. Avoid unless you're absolutely desperate for knock-off designer furniture.

update 1st June:

No replies to emails now. And Stone Butterfly have instructed Trust Pilot that I'm not a genuine customer of theirs. Trying to get rid of bad reviews?

Oh, and they offered me £2.50 compensation for the delay. How generous.

Dishonest and misleading! I ordered 4 chairs which were advertised as in stock and available within 2 days. Almost a week later, I received an email that the chairs would only be available in 8-10 weeks. Shockingly, the chairs are still showing as available “in stock” on the website. Based on other reviews, this is characteristic of this dishonest business. Very quick to take money but very slow to deliver the products they offer. I will be reporting this to the Office of Trading Standards as this is a classic case of false advertising. Sadly, it seems that this business has been getting away with this for a while. I would not recommend.

I’ve ordered kids DSW style table set from here (which I’m in love with, my daughter loves it too) A few days past by, and contacted them about an order. I spoke to Lauren, who informed me the Item was not in stock and will be in early June. Lauren, helped me with my order and asked if I w aged to wait or change the colour of the seats for immediate shipment. I do see mix reviews about this shop, however I think if you email them they will be likely to help you out. Will order again from the website soon.

Ive amended my review recently, I was very disappointed at first as I had to chase up my order of an Eames dining table (that was in stock online) as nobody had sent me a tracking number, only to be told it wasn't in stock and wouldn't be until "June" not even a specific date. I was incredibly frustrated as if I hadn't chased this up, who would've known how long I'd have been waiting without any news? Anyway, 2 days later, Dan from customer services rang me to say sorry, there'd been a mix up and it actually WAS in stock, and would be sent out the following day. I was relieved, but also confused as to how this could happen. I'm very happy with the table itself and also how Dan dealt with me on the phone, I just worry that their stock-levels online are misleading, and the first guy I dealt with from customer services wasn't helpful at all. Dan saved the day this time, but customer communication needs to improve. I'm sure it will in time!

Brilliant website!

I have rang them about a month ago regarding a bed. I wanted it yo be bespoke to fit my bedroom which has a mansard ceiling.

I spoke to the workshop manager who understood exactly what I wanted.

I took the delivery yesterday and their driver assembled it as I paid for white glove. Wow! It is even better than I imagined. The finish and the paintwork is superb!

I will for sure ask them to build more furniture in the future.
