Great online tutoring experience for the past 3 years! lessons were clear, well structured, and easy to follow. The tutor was patient, supportive, and adapted to what I needed. I've seen a real improvement in my grades - highly recommended!!

We cannot recommend Nicola highly enough! She tutored our son Jack in Maths throughout Years 5 and 6, and the difference she made was remarkable. Jack came on leaps and bounds under her guidance, and she helped him reach his full potential in the subject.

What stood out most was how Nicola built his confidence alongside his ability. That growing self-belief translated directly into his performance, and we were absolutely thrilled with how well he did in both his SATs and entrance exams — results we genuinely don't think he would have achieved without her support.

Ryan has been a brilliant maths tutor for Alfie! He has made a great connection with him and made his tutor sessions enjoyable. With Ryan’s clear explanations and patience, Alfie has been able to grasp difficult topics and apply this knowledge in his Maths lessons at school exceeding in his Maths tests. We will definitely be continuing with Ryan as Alfie progresses through his GCSE’s.

My son started a maths masterclass with Nicola and truly thrived. Nicola was excellent with him, and he genuinely looked forward to each lesson, enjoying the challenge.

He then undertook a SATS course with Sofia and again exceeded expectations. For a boy usually only interested in gaming and football, it was surprising—and wonderful—to see his commitment to preparation and excitement for each session.

Stepping stone maths has been great for my Son. He has been with them for a few years and this just gives him the confidence with maths when moving on to tricky topics. He is currently with Mia who is great at working with him so that he understands the work.

My son has been using Stepping stone for a year. They provide a very professional service, excellent tutors, speedy response time to any query. Knowledgable about subject and children are learning in schools. He has particularly enjoyed working with Ryan who has supported him in improving his Math GCSE predicated grade and his overall confidnce in the subject.

My daughter, who is currently in Year 3, has been receiving Maths tuition with Sam from Stepping Stones Maths for nearly two years. Phoebe began her journey with Stepping Stone Maths on 15th January 2025 under the guidance of her tutor, Tess. From the outset, Tess took the time to understand Phoebe’s individual needs, and they quickly built a strong and positive rapport.
Since starting tuition, Tess has significantly boosted Phoebe’s confidence in mathematics. She has transformed from a student who once dreaded the subject to one who now approaches it with a genuine “can-do” attitude. My son has been having GCSE maths tuition with Tess for the past four months and he has massively improved his confidence and understanding, he has just been moved up 2 sets at school and feels so much happier about his maths work which is thanks to Tess. My son has a bilateral hearing loss and ASD but this does not affect how Tess teaches him she just adapted and he has no problem understanding her or communicating which was a concern for me, I had nothing to worry about. Our experience with Stepping Stone Maths has been fantastic, from enquiry through to exam preparation. My son worked with his tutor, Owen, to prepare for GCSE's and his confidence grew considerably. Owen has been an excellent online ‘A’ level tutor for Joshua. Despite the lessons being online, he creates a really engaging and supportive learning environment. He is friendly, professional, and communicates concepts clearly, making even more challenging topics feel manageable.

Owen adapts his teaching to suit Joshua’s needs and keeps sessions interactive, which has really helped build both understanding and confidence. He is encouraging, patient, and provides constructive feedback that keeps Joshua motivated.

Sienna has really enjoyed her sessions with Sofia, her gentle and patient approach is what our daughter needs. Sienna understands that she will be challenged but that means she will learn new things which helps her to stretch. Sofia’s emails are incredibly informative for us too. After our 2 week trial period with Sofia, we knew we would absolutely want to continue for the foreseeable now that Sienna has found her match!

Dylan absolutely enjoyed his sessions with Becca. She instilled some confidence in him whilst teaching him as she did it in a way to support Dylan’s needs which I believe she understood really well. As you are aware, Dylan lacks confidence in this area and she really helped him to believe that he can do this! We are hoping that Becca has an opening in the near future as she was brilliant with Dylan and we cannot thank her enough.

We first joined Stepping Stone Maths for Year 6 SATs. Max was struggling and really lacking in confidence. Nicola very quickly built a great rapport with him and helped him to learn in his own way. He exceeded expectations in his SATs and we decided to stay with Nicola through to High School. Max enjoys his lessons each week and has just been moved up a set at school. I honestly don’t think we’d be where we are now without the help and support from Nicola. Thanks so much

Nicola has helped both of our children gain lots of confidence with their Maths. Both had confidence issues with regards to the subject and Nicola has really helped solidify the core of maths and really helped set our eldest up for secondary school with a new confidence. I’m sure the same will be said about our youngest as Nicola continues to boost her confidence and understanding.

My daughter is getting on well with her tutor Ryan. The 1-2-1 time and his patient guidance is improving her confidence with specific subjects. We are now moving on to consider further topics to follow the curriculum.

Sofia has been an absolutely fantastic maths tutor for my son Harry, who is in Year 10. She works with Harry to identify the areas he struggles with and tailors each session to support his specific needs, while also covering the GCSE syllabus and using past paper practice to build his confidence.

Sofia’s explanations are always clear and patient, and she has a real talent for finding different ways to help concepts click. Most importantly, Harry genuinely enjoys his sessions with her and they get on very well, which has made a huge difference to his motivation and confidence.

Since working with Sofia, Harry has made significant progress and has even moved up a set in maths.
