### Bewertung zur "Workout Mat - STÆDIUM by Freeletics"

Leider muss ich meiner Enttäuschung über die Qualität der von mir am 23.05.2024 gekauften Fitnessmatte "Workout Mat - STÆDIUM by Freeletics" Ausdruck verleihen.

Zunächst einmal habe ich hohe Erwartungen an Freeletics-Produkte, da die hauseigenen Matten "No Excuses Workout Mat" und "Home Mat" für ihre hohe Qualität und Langlebigkeit bekannt sind. Diese Erwartungen basieren nicht nur auf den Bewertungen, sondern auch auf meinen persönlichen Erfahrungen mit diesen Matten, die sowohl drinnen als auch draußen auf unterschiedlichen Untergründen und mit oder ohne Schuhe immer widerstandsfähig waren.

Leider erfüllt die Staedium Matte diese Standards in keiner Weise. Die Matte ist nicht rutschfest, das Material reibt sich schnell ab und wird porös – und das bereits nach einem Monat ausschließlicher Indoornutzung ohne Schuhe. Diese Qualität ist für den Preis absolut unzureichend und enttäuschend.

Ich hoffe, dass Freeletics hier dringend in den Austausch mit der Qualitätssicherung oder dem Partner Staedium geht, um solche Qualitätsmängel zu beheben.

Meine Erwartung ist entweder eine Reklamation und Rückerstattung des Kaufpreises oder ein adäquater Ersatz, idealerweise in Form der "No Excuses Workout Mat", die wirklich qualitativ hochwertig ist. Diese Qualität habe ich von Freeletics erwartet und für den bezahlten Preis sollte das auch gewährleistet sein.

Ich hoffe auf eine konstruktive Lösung und eine Rückmeldung des Supports.

Zunächst muss ich den restlichen Bewertungen zustimmen: Die Auslieferung hat sich, um mehrere Monate verschoben, allerdings muss man auch sagen, dass sich der Support relativ regelmäßig bei mir gemeldet hat, um Updates zu geben. Einmal wurde ich sogar persönlich angerufen und mir erklärt, wieso es denn nochmals zu einer Verspätung kommt. Es lag an den globalen Lieferkettenproblem. Das ist nicht das erste Mal, dass sowas passiert, von daher kann ich die Probleme nachvollziehen.

Zum Produkt selbst: Alle Einzelteile machen einen qualitativ sehr hohen Eindruck. Die Matte ist dick und dämpft jeden Stoß und ist größentechnisch mehr als ausreichend. Die Halterung für das Handy ist auch gut, auch wenn etwas groß, und macht dank des metallischen Materials ordentlich etwas her. Highlight sind natürlich die Kurzhanteln. Klein, kompakt und der Wechsel zwischen Gewichten klappt reibungslos - toll!

Zu den beiden Spielen lässt sich sagen, dass mir Dash (?) doch am besten gefällt. Dort tritt man in einer Art Rennen gg den Computer an, der immer bessere Zeiten und Highscores vorlegt. Dieser Wettbewerb steigert nicht nur die Motivation, sondern macht auch noch Spaß :)

Endlich hab auch ich mein Staedium Paket erhalten!! Es gab leider ziemlich lange Lieferverzögerungen (daher einen Punkt Abzug), aber das staedium support Team hat mich regelmäßig auf dem Laufenden gehalten. Sie haben mich sogar einmal telefonisch kontaktiert und mir erklärt, dass die Verzögerungen mit den generellen globalen Lieferkettenproblemen zu tun haben. Scheint jetzt endlich behoben zu sein. Jetzt hab ich es endlich ausprobieren können und ich glaube ich behalte es erstmal. Zur Hardware: Bin totaler Fan von der Matte - die wird jetzt meine reguläre Trainingsmatte ersetzen, weil ich das Gefühl hab, dass sie auch mehr dämpft. Die Gewichte sind super kompakt, was geil ist wenn mann bedenkt dass man ja viele verschiedene Gewichtsstufen abdeckt. Und jetzt zu dem Game: man führt die Ausführungen mit oder ohne Gewichte aus, wird getreckt und je nachdem wie gut und wie schnell man sie ausführt, bekommt man Punkte. Man kann gegen Bots antreten oder auch gegen andere Spieler und duelliert sich praktisch, was ich ziemlich motivierend finde #catchmeifyoucan ;-) Hab schon ein paar Sessions gemacht und es hat echt Spaß gemacht. Dadurch dass man sich auf das race konzentriert, vergeht die Zeit schnell und hat einfach mal so den Leg day gemacht. Finde das ziemlich nice, weil so gym sessions schon manchmal langwierig sein könne.
Insgesamt glaub ich, hat es viel Potenzial und ich glaub es wird noch mehr an Features und games kommen, worauf ich mich freue. Bis dahin mach ich erstmal alle workouts durch und sammel Punkte.

With increasing strength over time, you don't need to buy multiple sets of dumbbells and save a lot of space. While it does not offer individual exercises to be performed, the predefined workout routines provided in Dash are well-rounded and effective. Keep in mind that Staedium is still in its early stages, so there may be some room for improvement, but overall it has a lot of potentials to be a great product. The gamified approach of the Dash game makes working out feel less like a chore and more like an enjoyable and challenging experience. I would recommend it to anyone looking to improve their strength and fitness while enjoying an exciting game.

I'm brand new to strength training and having a lot of fun with this product so far. Racing in Dash against intermediate level bots is very entertaining and I am enjoying the potential of Orbital Early Access, despite the fact it does have a lot of bugs at the moment. I have to say, there have been numerous launch issues including the software, and a less-than advertised item that comes in the hardware setup, but overall the core product is working well, and the unboxing experience was very nice. It's clear a lot of care went into the sourcing of the dumbbells, down to the laser etching of the weight on each plate, the general quality twist function is very neat and looks/feels great. Even the branded black Styrofoam protection inside the beautiful boxes which housed the dumbbells was beautiful. It feels so extra to say I was impressed by branded Styrofoam, but that was a really pleasant surprise, after all of the shipping delays I would have expected more haphazard shipping. I just can't throw out the packaging. In case I move to a new home, I want to re-pack my setup in them. The training mat is thick, and does not slip on the floor, so it's definitely adequate. The dock is not as advertised on the website, so I assume there were some sourcing issues here. Nonetheless it holds the weight of my phone without issue. I would hope that they could issue an as-advertised dock later, however, because the custom design on the website did seem really nice. All cables required are included, one for iPhone it looks like, and the other for Android (USB-C) and the quick start instruction booklet is succinct and very cleanly laid out in English and German.

On the software side, it's still leaving something to be desired, with a slightly awkward setup (I need to open the app first, choose my exercise, THEN plug it in to the tv and mount to the stand, and THEN turn it backwards?) and occasionally the audio plays from my phone instead of the TV.

I am finding 4kg weights challenging enough already, and the dumbbells go between 4kg and 24kg, so I think there's plenty of room to grow in Dash, which seems a bit limited in terms of content, but is largely bug-free. Two to three short exercises per day (under thirty minutes) already have me feeling pretty sore. I also enjoy the visuals a lot, which are smooth and relaxing. I'm playing on a Samsung S22 and don't notice overheating, though my phone doesn't charge when the USB portion of the dongle is plugged into my TV! I've set up an alternative plug behind entertainment system since the USB cable can reach that far, but hopefully this is fixed for other customers. Starting this game without confidence that it can charge via USB from my TV set is a bit problematic. What if I need to leave the house shortly after my workout and my phone is nearly out of juice?

What's saving this whole thing for me right now is that I am getting 6 months free subscription upon buying this product. Without that, I think I would be disappointed in the money-spent-versus value at launch, since the software is not entirely there yet. For now, I am happy to stick around doing daily races in Dash, but expecting much, much more from Staedium in the coming months.

I don't see the time pass when training. The dumbbells are really good quality and the mat is the best I had until now.

Das Prinzip, Krafttraining in einer virtuellen Welt kompetitiv zu gestalten, ist eine tolle Idee. Die Unsetzung ist leider sehr enttäuschend.
800€ für Matte, 2 Hantel eine Matte und die Dockingstation ist unverschämt teuer, immerhin sind aktuell die ersten 6 Monate gratis mit drinnen, das gleicht es ein wenig aus. Wenn man sich die Materialien einzeln zusammenkauft( mit hoher Qualität), würde man auf ca 400€ kommen.
Das Training an sich ist dann sehr langweilig und unmotivierend. Man macht die Übungen, während auf dem Bildschirm mittels Smartphonekamera jede Wiederholung gezählt wird, eine Ausführungskorrektur findet nicht wirklich statt. Der "Wettbewerb" besteht dann darin, es schneller/besser zu machen als andere, was durch aufsteigende Leisten auf dem Bildschirm symbolisiert wird. Das wars. Ein sehr sehr sehr teurer Wiederholungszähler. Klar ist es noch in der Frühphase, und es kommen hoffentlich noch spannendere "Wettkämpfe" hinzu, aber wenn ein Produkt nicht fertig ist sollte man es nicht verkaufen, sonst verärgert man nur motivierte Kunden.
Man hätte wirlich so viel mehr draus machen können (Avatar/virtuelle Welt/Eigenschaften, die man durch bestimmtes Training verbessern kann, z.B Beintraining =Schnelligkeit, Bizeps = Kraft, Schulter = Stabilität etc., um damit dann Aufgaben zu lösen, oder meinetwegen auch nur im "Wii-Style" Olympia-wettbewerbe gegeneinander. Diese Umsetzung ist aber enttäuschend bis frustrierend.
Der Kundenservice hat mir aber immerhin sehr schnell das Rücksendeetikett zugesendet.

I tested the product in December and was really impressed. The body tracking and weight recognition works pretty seamless, meaning you just pick your weights and workout and the app tracks your movements and the weights your lifting.

The adjustable dumbbells feel great, the click they make when you change them is really satisfying and they feel like very good quality.

It’s definitely still in its early stages, with some bugs and small things to fix, but overall I had a really cool experience.

Big mess - many promises, taking a lot of money, but don't deliver anything. They confirmed 'delivery in November'. Not. Then they confirmed 'delivery before Christmas'. Not. No updates, very slow replies. This is a premium priced fitness product but with a lower than lowbudget treatment. They say: destory boring. But better could say: destroy the relationship with our launching customers who trusted us and payed us almost € 800 for nothing at the moment.

Anfang Oktober bestellt, Lieferung für November angekündigt, bislang nichts erhalten - ende November kam die Info, dass sich November nicht ausgeht, aber kein Liefertermin bekannt. Rücktritt erst möglich, wenn geliefert wurde. Geld ist somit weg. Nächster Weg geht zum Anwalt. Reinste Abzocke.

As a beta tester I could test stædium over the last couple of months and I really love the concept. I’m surprised how quickly you forget you’re working out when you start playing. I never used dumbbells at home before because I didn’t want to buy a bunch of them so I could switch weights for different exercises and then progress to heavier weights. I only used them in the gym, which I very rarely go to, so I didn’t stick to weight training. But these are super nice to have at home and the mat is finally big and thick enough to really train hard without damaging my knees or floor. When there are more games and features to try, I would give it 5 stars, but as a new product that’s still being developed, I’m already convinced 👍 I think I will stick to my training better thanks to it.
