I've had a microchip cat flap installed today in a composite door
Been looking for someone to do this for me for ages but every company I approached said it couldn't be done
Well this company today said that's nonsense all you need is the right tools and fitted me the cat flap!
I could not be happier, no more open window in this foul weather and no more unwanted cats in the house

From my first contact with Caroline to the installation of our velux window everything was positive.
The guys fitting the window were polite, very tidy and worked well to finish the job.
The overall standard of workmanship was of an excellent quality and they took pride in finishing off their work.

We contacted Springfield Developments on 0800 009 4201 as a friend recommended them. We asked for a quote to fix a cat flap, subsequently an employee took measurements on Friday 13 September!. They were supposed to come and do the fitting on Tuesday 1 October but rang to apologise as their van had broken down. The fitting was rescheduled for Saturday. No one turned up. After we eventually got through, they said that someone would come on Sunday 6 October 2019. They texted to say their van had broken down yet again. If zero stars was possible we would have given it. Needless to say we have cancelled the order.

A very poor service from Springfield developments. I arranged to have cat flap fitted in our glass door. The quote was twice what we eventually paid. They cancelled 3 times and we are still waiting for contact from June 19.
I am not sure why this review doesn't make sense as I feel it is perfectly clear that I had a substandard service from Springfield developments. I booked to have a cat flap fitted and was cancelled 3 times and the company never bothered to complete the order or inform us.. I got a local company to fit the cat flap at half the price quoted by springfield developments. It also has taken rather a long time to reply to my review as it is now January 2020

They arranged to come and measure for a Catflap, after me chasing they said they would fit the week after. When I called to confirm they admitted they had never actually measured and were apologetic so I rearranged for the measure, again they didn’t turn up. Don’t waste your time with these guys they’re not serious.

We called on Monday this week and were told our cat flap could be installed this Thursday. We moved in last Friday and have not had a decent nights' sleep yet - the cats keep us awake at all hours of the night trying to get out of the house....

So a day before the appointment, we had not heard anything, so called up again - and this time they denied even booking it in for Thursday, and have put it back to next week.

That just isn't good enough - so now going to buy a drill and masonry bits and do the work myself.

It seems from other reviews that the receptionists here do not know what they are doing. That has certainly been our experience!

EDIT - I have found a local builder who will do this work for 1/2 the price. Worth looking around.....!

I booked to have a new panel of glass installed and a pet door connect installed at the same time. guy turned up to fit the glass but said that the pet door he had wasn't the one I actually wanted as they had been unable to source it and there was a 2 month wait for them!! I went online and had one delivered by Argos that very evening!!!! The panel of glass was fitted but left my home insecure due to the gaping hole in it. Tried to ring the office to find out why they never told me they couldn't get what I wanted but they weren't answering and they have never returned my message. Wouldn't recommend

Made time sensitive appt for maintenance job to be done prior to moving out and end of tenancy inspection. Was lied to about the available appt time. Actual time was always going to be much later than promised. Was spoken to very rudely when challenged this and tried to explain the difficulties it would create, with threats made to cancel the job altogether, leaving us high and dry. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Never called back after taking all the details, bit worrying - Avoid.

Edit: Over 3 years later I'm being contacted to provide further details on this! (3 years!)

Awful service! Stay away from these guys. They meant to repair my roof. They charged me in advance, didn't fix anything and when I try to ask them to put things right, they decide to ignore me. Terrible, stay away! I had to contact trading standards.
