Spiritgames Anmeldelser

I'm fairly new to board games and found Spirit almost by accident when I was at the cinema nearby. The only thing I regret is that I didn't find it sooner (though my bank balance might not agree due to the amount I have bought from there ;) ).
All the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and willing to help you pick out the right game whether it be for yourself or as a gift.
Not only do they have a great selection but there is also plenty of room to try the games out and with regular gaming sessions there's usually someone there willing to play your new game with you.

Spirit games is a wonderful shop with a helpful and knowledgeable team to help you find, one of, an extensive range of games. The only downside is that they are not closer to home... Like at the bottom of my garden! But I'm moving them out, one game at a time. They just don't know it yet.

This is a great shop, I've always had good experiences there and everyone is very friendly and welcoming. For online purchases and reservations, they're very helpful and accommodating, and respond quickly.

I've first heard of Spirit Games in one of the many boardgames events that they participate to, and since then I've bought all my games from them - the prices are comparable and sometimes even inferior to big online retailers. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful, and very involved in the local gaming community. I love that it is both a physical and an online shop, which gives both the practicality of online booking and the incomparable experience to show up in the shop, have a friendly chat and maybe even play a game... I only wish my job would allow me to do that more often!

Spirit Games is a treasure trove of games, friendly advice and community spirit...

From a great stock of a wide variety of games, to going out of their way to help the local gaming community, there are many reasons I fully recommend Spirit Games as the place to get your next board game.

Spirit Games has the best combination of a huge range of games in any genre you can think of, from family friendly fare to really deep games for serious gamers, plus friendly and knowledgeable staff to point you in the direction of just the right game for you. The discounts, buy x value of games for y discount are also very generous for an independent retailer. Their links to local gaming groups and regular games meet ups in the shop itself are the icing on the cake.

Spirit are a wonderful games company; large stock, friendly, knowledgeable staff, and online ordering/delivery. They also have special ties with local board game groups, as well as running their own sessions. Can't recommend more.

I love this shop! Staff are really friendly and approachable, and very knowledgeable about all sorts of games. The shop stocks a great range of games. Combine that with their biannual "Beer and Pretzels" gaming days - what more could you want?

Spirit Games has to be one of the best shops ever. The wide range of stock of some of the most wonderful games I have ever seen. The atmosphere in the shop is friendly, customers socialise with each other and sitting down to play games together. The staff have extensive knowledge of the games and their enthusiasm for them is second to none. The number of times we have been in seeking Christmas presents for friends, now a tradition, and got some cracking recommendations that have always been well received. First place I go anytime I need to add more to my already immense pile of games.

Spirit Games is the perfect shopping experience: staff are friendly and know their stuff; they can offer sound advice, demo shop copies and steer you towards other things you may like without ever being over-bearing, no matter what you experience in the hobby. Sally, Phil, Colin and Simon never fail to be helpful, providing a personal experience in the shop as well as a good delivery and reservation service. Pricing never feels like it hurts and there are discounts on larger purchases, begging the question why anyone would use any large online retailers with a habit for avoiding taxes when Spirit is right on the doorstep.

These guys have a HUGE selection and their customer service is too good to be true. I'd put this down to the owners and staff being all gaming fanatics. They run several major gaming events through the year and often two or three evening events in their shop, not to mention their organised tournaments. Must have been nearly 20 years since I first visited (for wargaming items) and its still my preferred first stop for boardgames - despite it being 30 miles down the A38 for me!

I've been into boardgames for only 18 months and was really happy that there was a store fairly close to me. I was Feeling nervous about going there and getting overwhelmed with the different games or being made to feel stupid by being the outsider trying to join the group. My fears were proved about as wrong as they could be once I walked into the shop. The team there are just fantastic and will chat to you for as long as you need help without making you feel daft. The discount offers they have actually make them cheaper than amazon in most cases and you are also supporting independent local businesses.

I have been a regular customer of spirit games for around 8 years now. They have a wide selection of games both old and new and great pricing including discounts for spending more in a single transaction. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and are always willing to make recommendations based on your requirements. The shop also provides space to play games at no charge and regularly hosts gaming days or evenings; there are also regular tournaments. I cannot recommend the shop highly enough.

I found Spirit Games whilst searching for a game expansion that I was having difficulty finding. Elsewhere the post and packaging was more expensive (due to my location) and the delivery time was not suitable as I had a games night planned in the near future. It was after a small amount of research on UK game stores I decided to give Spirit Games a try, I found they had exactly what I was looking for and the delivery suited my timescales, so I promptly ordered my game. I decided to ring the store directly in order to check how long the delivery may be as my location was overseas, the person I spoke to was very helpful and explained that usually it would be 1-2 days. I was extremely pleased that I was now going to get my expansion in time for my planned games night. The icing on the cake for me was the fact my delivery arrived the next day, allowing me to have a study of the game expansion before the planned night.

To conclude, I would recommend Spirit Games to any gamer within the UK, they have a wide variety of stock (some of which is not available on other larger sites) brilliant delivery times and are very helpful to talk to.

Great shop guys, thanks.

Spirit Games has been around for a long while and the Staff are always willing to help. They have a great selection of games as well as a good knowledge of the boardgame industry. As well as selling games they provide space to play games on certain evenings at the shop and also run a huge weekend of gaming every year called "Beer & Pretzels".

I would recommend this shop to anyone and they also accept online orders.
