I have spoken to Gareth Horsfall a number of times over more than ten years. His knowledge of all the financial problems and pitfalls of moving to (and living in) Italy is second to none. Susan Worthington has been our Financial Adviser since January 2018.

She efficiently and smoothly handled the transfer of my UK private pension to a Malta managed QROPS pension shortly before Brexit.

We're from the UK moving to Italy and were put in touch with Gareth for specialist advice about UK/Italy taxation arrangements - he was fantastic - he listened to our situation, and went through all of our questions and explained our options. In my opinion Susan Worthington set up a very inadequate trust for my Grandfather. It has caused upset since his death. Upon his death the fees increased from £14715 to £83307. In my opinion His letter of wishes upon his death was different to the one we held and the copy he had went missing. The trust fund is now less than half in my opinion it was due to the poor set up. As a beneficiary I am not entitled to any accounts or information. Susan resigned in 2017 after I embarrassed her with her fee. Note this was one trust alone I’ve never seen the figures from trust 2. In my opinion I would urge anyone thinking of using her services to be very very careful. Look at her qualifications carefully. If she’s pushing a trust fund ensure you have a protector trustee and a set fee even upon death as your worldly goods will slowly diminish. It’s cost me immense heartache and loss.

Meeting with Gareth was phenominal! He patiently went through a myriad of situations that demystified an otherwise daunting process.I am from the USA and beleive me when I say there are many nuances to the entire tax/financial optimatization matrix. Will definitely trust my business in Spectrum's more than capable hands.

I started dealing with Craig Welsh of The Spectrum IFA Group in October 2024; to date he has done everything he has said he would to in a professional and timely manner. While it is too early to express any worthwhile comments on the performance of my investments his recommendations do seem to be well thought through. My gains were looking very good until our friend across the water spooked the markets. Hopefully this is short lived.
