Grace was helpful with the onboarding and gave detailed instructions on what to do, for returnees, the refresher is helpful. I’m looking forward to completing another course with SLC.

I am still observing the services provided to me as a studenty. However for issue resolution SLC is the choicest place to be.

My Mentor presented the course outline clearly, and explain where she could help throughout the course, and what was expected from me as a learner. I hope to learn more from her through the course. I have completed Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills with SLC. I found the structure of the course clear to follow although once in the course I was unable to enlarge the content pages which was difficult to read at times . The content was detailed and thought provoking inspiring further independent inquiry. The rigour (assignment deadlines) kept me focused and encouraged me to manage my time appropriately although hard at times. At the start of the course I was offered a short video induction in which the course structure was explained. My course mentor Suba was happy to answer questions especially at the beginning when I felt quite overwhelmed. I have now decided to do another course with SLC in Child Psychology and Psychiatry (recommended by Suba) which will be a great addition to my personal and professional development. I look forward to starting my new course.

I started a course with South London College recently, and I have to be honest, they have been exceptional.

The support I have received has been excellent; the support team get back to you ASAP with information and answers to your questions, the tutors are available, and the prices are very reasonable. They encourage you to push yourself and gain valuable skills for life.

As someone who works full time, the access through their website and how well laid out it is means I can get into it and start working any time I need to

100% would recommend as a learning institution. So if you are considering it, go for it. You won't regret it.

I enrolled to this course . I was having some difficulty filling dorm but Dilsha Alwis helped me with the whole process

My tutor was through and helped me get a much better understanding of how the course would work!

The induction meeting conducted by Anna Taylor was very informative about what to expect within Level 4 IQA. Anna was also very helpful with the questions I had relating to the qualification assessments.

*update 31/7/26 - after many emails I have finally secured a 90% refund from SLC for the nearly £1100 I paid for the course. They have requested I delete my review (several times) but I will not do this because my opinion stands. Please PLEASE take my earlier comments seriously and be aware that many of the 5* reviews are fake.
Following my first one star review of this organisation, I swiftly received an email from Nora disputing the claims I made. Please note, my statement that the five star reviews they receive are fabricated was barely disputed.

I reiterate my claims of long delays on course materials becoming available, lack of tutor communication, poor quality course materials and confusing assignment requirements. The likelihood of my son gaining what he needs for a university place are becoming increasingly remote.

They offered a Zoom call, which I accepted, however due to my work commitments (I am a secondary school teacher) this was rescheduled twice.

During the Zoom call vague offers of academic support and more regular communication were offered, and this offer was followed up in an email. One of these offers were the grading criteria for the assignments, which were promised within days. I have chased this twice as it has never been received and emails have gone unanswered.

I have 18 years experience in education, six of which spent with McGraw-Hill, one of the world’s largest educational publishers, so I know what good quality academic texts look like. The texts provided on this course can be described as basic at best. I have 12 further years experience in secondary education, and have two degrees - one of which gained through the OU so I have experience of excellent distance learning provision- and a PGCE. During all of my academic career I never encountered support this woeful.

Almost three weeks since our call, none of the promised support has materialised. To add insult to injury, SLC have responded to my previous review with a statement so boldly misleading I could almost laugh if I weren’t so enraged. Unfortunately I am not able to counter that essay of half truths with my version of events, so here we are with a separate account, giving them another very much deserved one star review.

*update* Trust Pilot reviewed this feedback as SLC had claimed it was defamatory. Trust Pilot found this not to be the case, so the review has been cleared for posting.

SLC do *not* respond well to negative feedback. Please, please, please pay attention to the low score reviews as these are the genuine issues. The 5* reviews are almost certainly fake, it doesn’t take a genius to spot the patterns in the tone and vernacular used in them.
