Horribly designed product

Horribly designed product. They send it in a thousand 3d printed pieces and don’t even give you a manual. They expect you to keep all magnets aligned but give basic magnets with no visual indicators. Accidentally shove the magnet in from the wrong pole? You’re SOL! Seriously, I put off putting this together for so long because I was disgusted with how it was shipped. Now that I am trying to do it, it’s awful! Plan for 4-6 hours, minimum. I want a refund. Seriously, pathetic.

This is a scam company

The idea is good, while the company send the raw material, not the goods, ridicuous, how could a company send batch of cheap plastic parts and take over 200USD, really shit

Assembly of "Deluxe Package" is a joke

Who on earth came up with the idea of installing very strong magnets right next to each other?
Either the holes are too small to fit them in, or they're too big, so they're immediately pulled right back out by the magnetic force of the next magnet.
"Deluxe Package" still needs a lot of assembling of parts which barely fit.
For that price you get a premium Solder-Package from other vendors which much higher quality.

additional info: they sell a faulty product and refuse a refund because it was already opened. How shall I check proper functionality without opening the package?
This should be illegal....

Nice kit

I really enjoyed both assembling the kit and using it. I appreciate the clever design and the work the team put into it. It’s great to finally have a way to solder outside without all the mess and clutter.

I also really appreciated the dice solder kit they included, and I loved the custom PCB design for the fan and light.

Although there were some delivery issues, the team was very helpful and quick with resolving them.

so bad(

1.The order was delivered with a 1.5-month delay.
2.The ordered kit was missing 8(!) components.
3.Customer support is completely unresponsive (waited for 5 days).
Overall, the idea is not bad, but the execution is very poor. There are issues with missing components, logistics, and customer support. The soldering iron itself could use more powerful tips, at least the 245s — it wouldn't compromise compactness, but it would add versatility to the kit.

Thank you for the honest feedback, and we’re really sorry about this experience.

A long delay, missing 8 components, and a slow support response is simply not good enough. Missing that many parts is a disaster, and we’re so sorry you had to experience that.

The transition from Kickstarter fulfillment to regular e-commerce orders was rougher than we wanted. As a small team, we previously shared customer support responsibilities internally, but the growing pains became overwhelming and caused issues. We now have a dedicated full-time Customer Relationship Manager to make sure support becomes faster, clearer, and more consistent going forward.

Thank you also for the feedback on the soldering iron tips. We’ll take that with us as we continue improving SOLDR and future versions of the kit.

Bouhgt the diy kit in January received without soldering iron in late march

Bouhgt the diy kit in January , the website says that it would come in February. But only after 3 e-mails in march they send me the kit, when I opened it I saw that in a soldering kit is no soldering iron? That was now 2 weeks in the past and I didn’t receive a replacement or a tracking code. It’s really sad that such a good product has such a bad shipment

We completely understand how disappointing it must have been to wait longer than expected, and then receive a kit that didn’t match what you were expecting.

The transition from Kickstarter fulfillment to regular e-commerce orders was rougher than we wanted, and some early orders were affected by delays, unclear communication, and fulfillment issues. That is still our responsibility, and we’ve been actively improving both our support and order handling processes since then.

Having a compact kit with everything…

Having a compact kit with everything you need in it has been really convenient and is a good entry point into soldering for newer users. Shipping wasn’t too long and communication has been great

Great compact soldering station.

Great compact soldering station.
Exactly what I always wanted to have - small footprint versatile soldering station that I can take with me.
Love the open source part - have already modified and printed the pen holder since I am left handed.
There were a few bits missing in the deluxe edition I ordered, contacted the support team, and they sent the missing items next day - got them in a week.
The whole process from ordering to receiving took 4 weeks, which was acceptable.

Overall happy with the product and support!

Compact soldering station

I received my kit about one week ago. I ordered mine in the beginning of March. I read about other reviews on long delivery time, but in my case the delivery was much faster.

I'm setting up a small home workshop in my garage with 3D printer, tools for fixing and building small electronic projects and Soldr was a perfect addition to this configuration. I like the possibility on printing parts by myself, if something breaks down. The design and compactness of the Soldr is absolutely a big plus. It is easy to take with you and the Deluxe edition contains everything to get started.

Overall I'm happy with the product.

The product idea seems good, but the organisation of the company hinders it

I ordered my SOLDR original in January 2026 with estimated shipping in February. They started shipping in the beginning of March according to support and I received the kit in mid March, but without the soldering iron that was supposed to be included. So I have not been able to use it, but support has stated that they estimate the soldering iron to be shipped in a week or two.

We completely understand the frustration. SOLDR is designed to be a complete kit, so receiving it without the soldering iron is not the experience we wanted you to have.

Some early e-commerce orders were affected by picking and packing issues during our transition from Kickstarter fulfillment. That is our responsibility, and we’ve been actively improving our fulfillment and support processes to make sure issues like this are handled faster and more consistently.

We’re glad the soldering iron has now been delivered, but we’re still sorry it took longer than it should have to resolve.

Now that you have received everything, we genuinely hope you get the chance to try SOLDR properly. If your experience with the kit feels different from the delivery process, we’d of course be grateful if you ever feel like updating your review to reflect that.

Actual: march

I expected: basic tool kit with Soldering Iron
Actual: other things without Soldering Iron. It didn’t cost announced price.

Very good overall

Very good communication regarding delay. High quality, everything was included, safe packaging. You get what you pay for, and the support and setup manual is really well made.

Thanks for sharing your experience — and we’re sorry it didn’t meet your expectations.

During our transition from Kickstarter to e-commerce, we had some real growing pains. Missing parts should not happen, and we understand how frustrating that is.

All structural parts are produced in carbon-fiber-reinforced PETG for durability and heat resistance. While we’ve received a lot of positive feedback, we acknowledge that some early units did not meet our quality standards and we’ve since tightened both production and quality control.

We’re a small team, and during peak periods some support requests were delayed — in a few cases even missed during a CRM transition. That’s on us, and our support and fulfillment processes have since been improved.
