Solar Sun and Air Anmeldelser

Very helpful honest advice.
Used this company for many years, very dependable

Great all round service! They were very helpful and responsive throughout: on initial enquiry, during home visit, during installation and for all after-work queries. Panels look and work great. And all at a really competitive price. Would certainly recommend giving them a call.

From start to finish they have been excellent. I dealt with Simon and he was so helpful and explained everything. After having several quotes and varying prices, they were very competitive. I went for 14 panels and an Ecoflow Battery & Inverter system which is excellent.
The scaffolders were brilliant the weather was shocking but they worked thru it and the following day Dave the roofer came and he also had really bad weather but did an excellent job installing the panels on the roof. I really thought they wouldnt have done it in the rain but they worked non stop.
The electrician came after dinner and worked thru as well. System was up and running the next day when he came back to install the batteries. Everything is neat and tidy. Simon came back to make sure everything was fine and we were happy with everything.
A great experience from start to finish

Couldn't be happier with the solar panel and battery install from Solar Sun & Air. It can be a bit overwhelming trying to navigate all the options with solar but Simon from Solar Sun & Air was incredibly helpful and actually offered expert advice on what system would work best for us. He also came to the house to properly measure everything and ensure the installation would run as smooth as possible. This resulted in a design which included more panels and better quality kit than many of the companies I received quotes from, many of whom never even set foot on the property.

Solar Sun & Air arranged the scaffolding and dealt with the paperwork with the local authorities, so we had nothing to worry about. On the day of installation it was Dave who installed the panels and Ben who connected the system up. Dave is an experienced roofer, so I knew there would be no leaks or issues after he'd finished. Ben the electrician was also fantastic and happy to explain how each part worked and helped get me set up with monitoring and adjusting the system. Both were courteous and friendly and approachable with any questions we had about our new system.

I'd definitely recommend Solar Sun & Air to friends and family.

Simon was very helpful and sorted out our offline problem. He even came to visit us out of hours. Well done Simon. Thank you.

All in all, a fairly inept company with shocking levels of experience and knowledge. Not only did they design and install an entirety new system that they then installed incorrectly, they failed to recognise their own failings and basic electrical safety compliance issues several times over, on repeated inspections with different "expert" engineers over a period of 20-months.

This resulted in an instance of the inverter isolator smouldering, causing an immediate fire safety risk that was fortunately detected by the void detection installed by others.

But even then this "expert" company failed to recognise their poor electrical knowledge and installation standards, resulting in incorrectly wired installation remaining for a sustained period causing excessive reverse bills.

Whilst they admit their failings in writing and direct comms, they appear unable / unwilling / lacking in skill and integrity (not sure which applies...!?) to deal with it.

A completely independent third party Bristol based expert installer was therefore called in by me to investigate, appraise and remedy. This took them half a day to fault find the poor wiring and workmanship issues caused by Solar Sun & Air and remedy with no issues since.

STEER CLEAR OF SOLAR SUN & AIR

Disappointed is the best I can muster. I had some batteries installed by them in March 2024. I was happy with them. I had some more work done in Dec 2024, basically extra batteries and an EV point. Had problem and it wasn't easy but done to my satisfaction. At the same time was quoted for an extra solar panel system which we intended to carry out this summer. However, in March 2025, I realised there was a problem with the work which had been done the previous March. This was quickly corrected, again to my satisfaction. Some months ago I was ready for the planned extra work and contacted them for a requote for this work as prices would have obviously changed. But got nothing, tried all methods they offered, but got no replies of any sort. If they don't want my business that's fine, but as least have the curtesy of saying so. Following the posting of this review I was contacted by company with perfuse apologies, so all turned out ok in the end.
