This is the first time I have ever bought solar coverage. Because my current homeowners policy has changed from a flat deductible to a 2% coverage for the roof for wind and hail. My insurance agent recommended this coverage. The amount of insurance I bought will offset my financial liability so in the future if I do make a claim, this should help offset my financial responsibility to some degree.
