Our trip was lovely. Giverny was beyond words. And so were the 2 castles we went to which means next time we’ll be putting Versailles on our agenda.
The scenery everywhere was spectacular. The trip was quite memorable.
The guides (we are in love with Thomas (who is about our daughter’s age) who did the first 4 tours in particular) were excellent.
The app worked very well (except for that day of phone issues). Our favorite hotel was Les Trésorières-wow! It was so pretty, comfortable and well situated.

A well planned and organised trip - everything happened exactly as expected, the guides were first class and the hotel a great location. The only thing I would have changed would be to base the trip in Siena not Florence to reduce travelling times to the wineries and allow time to see other Tuscan sights, eg San Gimignano. Florence could then be done as a day trip.

SmoothRed was incredible to work with and planned the perfect 10 day to trip to France for us. Every thing they arranged from tours to restaurants to accommodations was outstanding. Their level of customer service, knowledge and professionalism could not have been better.
I highly recommend SmoothRed to anyone planning a trip abroad and will use them again in the future.

We booked a 4 day wine tasting trip to Avignon and Cannes back in 2019 but due to the pandemic, this was postponed on 3 occasions. Every time the contact with Smooth Red team was great and they kept us informed every step of the way. Initially we'd asked to go by train which was more convenient, but due to Ebbsfleet stopping the Eurostar in 2020, we asked fairly last minute to transfer to flights from Gatwick and this was organised within a couple of hours. Everything about the trip was first class from the transfers to the personalised wine day at Chateauneuf du Pape with our guide Eric and then the 2 days in Cannes and the boat trip to Ile de Honorat and the organised lunch. A great selection of hotels, and lovely to have some time to ourselves too to explore. The hotel in Avignon was right in the heart of the town and the Smooth Red app was fantastic to keep us updated on everything each day including the delays to our return flight (due to French air strike). We would highly recommend Smooth Red for anyone looking for a special personalised trip and will definitely be using them again.

I wanted to arrange a once in a lifetime wine tasting tour of Bordeaux for my husband’s 80th Birthday.
I chose SmoothRed from the internet and they organised an amazing trip which we couldn’t fault.
The hotel de Seze was fabulous and in the heart of Bordeaux with loads to see and great restaurants yards from the door. The staff were very welcoming and the food was excellent.
Our chauffeurs from and to the airport were really friendly and knowledgable and Xavier our private guide filled in the gaps. They were all happy to answer any questions and took us on a lovely scenic drive through St Emilion.
The Chateaux were amazing, the wine tastings all different ranging from huge to small, family run and everyone was very welcoming.
We are already trying to decide which SmoothRed tour to do next! Thank you so much for making it so easy and pain free.

I’ve recently returned from a private champagne tour in France together with my wife who the trip was organised for a special birthday.
Let me continue by explaining that normally this is something that my wife (who is also known as my PA) would organise.
Also as being the most suspicious and distrusting person, this side of Niagara Falls, I was somewhat nervous in contacting anyone outside of my family for help.
I found SmoothRed from the Internet and like this review felt reassured that it would be a sound decision contacting them.
To be honest, having finished our tour, I think they should now change their emblem to an image of Mary Poppins as from experience I can 100% state that they are practically perfect in every way!
They always listened to any questions I had, discussed various parts and were always on hand to help make this wonderful present even more special.
My family and I are going through very difficult personal issues at this very moment regarding our home. SmoothRed we’re aware of this and went above the call of duty to ensure that we had an even more lovely experience, they upgraded parts of the tour and even arranged for gifts to be given to my wife which helped distract her from things at home.
I cannot express what this company provided for us and without any hesitation would go to them again to sort another holiday.
Everyone whom I’ve discussed our champagne tour with have been impressed.
The person who organised our tour actually feels like a old friend rather than myself being his client.
I am not a person that would normally leave a review however I had already made my decision to do so while walking around Paris on our final day as I felt it was too important to miss!
They say the only pain in your life should be champagne, please make life a little easier and contact this company.

A great stress free strip to Beaune, Burgundy. Food was delicious and Thomas gave us a fun and informed tour accompanied by some special wines. You will never fully know Burgundy but this trip gave us a great start. Thanks SmoothRed for organising a memorable trip.

Firstly I would like to thank you on behalf of all the ladies for a fabulous trip!
We have waited 3 years for this and I can safely say that we all enjoyed every second of it.
There is absolutely nothing I can say negatively about the whole weekend.
When we arrived at the airport the chauffeur was there waiting, he was very welcoming and happy to see us.
The hotel was in the most perfect location, we could not have wanted for more in that department.
The hotel itself was very nice, extremely clean with a good breakfast and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

On to the Winery well what can we say.. Both wineries were very well set up and very informative.
St Emilion was absolutely beautiful, the setting and the scenery was one of the best we have ever seen!
The restaurant that we had our lunch in was amazing, I can safely say that it was probably one of the nicest meals I have had in a long time.

As for which winery we preferred, I would possibly say that Dominique had the preferable wine to us, but to chose which winery we preferred would be difficult to say.
Both were beautiful and extremely different as you almost had the traditional against the modern, so for me on a personal note it was good to see both sides.

The only thing I would say was that it would have been nice to have had the time to walk and explore St Emilion for about an hour or so but our schedule didn’t really allow that.
It is such a beautiful town and to have been able to spend time there would have made the trip even more superb than it was.

Xavier our driver for the day was an excellent guide, he was informative throughout our journey from Bordeaux to St Emilion.

I think we would be very interested in what other trips that you organise for the future, we will definitely recommend SmoothRed to anyone that asked.

SmoothRed planned the most amazing trip to London and Paris for my husband and I and our two teenage girls. They planned every detail so that we could just focus on having a wonderful family vacation. The highlights were our private tour of Hampton Court and our cooking class in Paris where we learned to make macarons. So fun! We will definitely consider using SmoothRed again.

This was our 3rd trip with Smooth Red following Bordeaux, Tuscany and now Porto and the Douro Valley.
We made some specific requests about what we wanted to include/exclude and the team responded with an itinerary that was pretty much perfect.
The hotels were very good, the driver/guide was excellent and the vineyard visits and restaurants were largely 5*. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our week and are very happy to recommend a visit to Portugal with Smooth Red.
Amongst the many highlights was the unexpected, and unplanned we think, tasting of 25 and 30 year old port, directly from the barrel, at two small vineyards. The port is not for sale (being kept for more difficult times) but tasted phenomenal.

The staff at Smooth Red listened to what I wanted to experience while in France. They handled every detail, worked with me throughout the planning, were quite professional and responsive. I will 💯 % utilize their expertise when planning another European trip.

This was our second trip with SmoothRed. Our original plan was a weeklong trip to London and Paris in 2020. The pandemic turned that into a week in France in 2021 and, this year, 10 days in the UK.
The staff at SmoothRed did an excellent job planning a wonderful trip for our family of 5. We began in the Cotswolds with a 2-night stay at the Lygon Arms in Broadway. The hotel has an excellent staff, superb accommodations, and delicious food. We had a great tour of the countryside with a knowledgeable and friendly guide.
On the way to London, we spent a lovely day in Oxford touring where our daughter spent the spring semester.
In London, we stayed at the Rubens at the Palace Hotel. Again, wonderful staff and great food. The rooms were smaller but very comfortable. Our guide, Dave, took us to Richmond to tour Ted Lasso sites and then on a walking tour of Killing Eve sites along with the main sites in London. The best surprise was the private tour of the Tower of London with a Beefeater. We had front-row positions for the Ceremony of the Keys and an amazing experience.
Next, we took the train to Glasgow and drove to the Isle of Eriska. It is a lovely private island with the main house and other off-site accommodations. Our stay at Arnott's House was very comfortable. From Eriska, our driver, Stephen, took us on great tours of the Scottish countryside. The staff of SmoothRed picked great tours and wonderful restaurants in the area.
Finally, we spent a day and a half in Edinburgh. Fiona took us on a wonderful walking tour of the Royal Mile with great insight and stories.
The staff of SmoothRed listened to our preferences and planned an absolutely amazing trip for us and we are very grateful.

We had a really great 5 day tour of the Bordeaux wine regions. Superb hotels, excellent transport and guides and wonderful food. Everyone we met was helpful, friendly and very efficient, both in the planning beforehand and whilst we were away in France.
The day at leisure in St Emilion in a lovely Chateau Hotel was very enjoyable.
Even the flights were on time!

I've been travelling with SmoothRed for a few years now and they just never disappoint. This trip was a 4 night verging on 5 day trip to Piedmont. Everything was superb, beautiful hotel with amazing food, service and views, fabulous guide, brilliant restaurants and some wonderful wine tastings. They even fitted in a truffle hunt which was great fun. Could only fault the trip by being super picky.....roll on our next one

SmoothRed created an amazing itinerary in France for our 2022 family adventure. 17 of us journeyed from the USA to Paris and then the Provence region.

The SmoothRed team booked all our travel and transfers, arranged lodging, and facilitated tours and activities in both locations.

We could not have been more pleased with the quality at each step along the way. We were comfortable and well cared for, enabling everyone from ages 13 to 78 to explore and experience France at their own pace.

Most grateful and impressed in three areas: collaboration during planning (there was a lot of discussion to set the right tone and choose the appropriate options for our group); mid-trip support during travel challenges and/or needs for adjustment; and the selection of tour guides - all were tremendously impressed.

Just back from a fantastic time exploring the wineries of Rioja. It was a really well organised trip. All the staff at Smoothred were so friendly and helpful. Our guide in Rioja was charming. He took us to a real mixture of smaller boutique and larger wineries, we also had a chance to explore some of the medieval villages between our tasting sessions. MARVELLOUS xx

SmoothRed was a pleasure to work with right from the start. Cristine planned an amazing trip for me and my husband through the Piedmont and Tuscany regions of Italy. She also arranged reservations for our 30th anniversary dinner at a Michelin Star restaurant. The resorts were wonderful, the scenery gorgeous and the tours varied. We brought home some wine and are looking forward to sharing it, along with pictures and stories, with our friends. Thank you for an amazing anniversary trip.
