Great tactical course on how to get started. Great connections.

The program covers every aspect of the acquisition process, from identifying potential targets to closing deals and managing transitions. Participants benefit from hands-on, practical insights rather than purely theoretical knowledge. This approach mirrors renowned startup accelerators' intensive, mentor-driven environment (i.e., Techstars, Y-Combinator, etc.), where entrepreneurs are equipped with the tools and networks they need to succeed quickly. The key benefits of SMBootcamp were the expert guidance and resources from a dedicated deal team, networking, peer support, case studies, and real-world examples. A special asterisk goes to the deal team -- learning firsthand about the quality of earnings, legal, tax, and insurance providers has left us immensely more confident in the closing process.

Sam has put together a great team and created a productive, interactive, and fun program.

I had a tremendous experience at bootcamp and was part of the May 2023 cohort. 5 months after attending, I acquired a business. My experience of the three days was truly immersive and it takes you on a deep dive into finding, financing and ultimately acquiring a small business through ETA. Sam Rosati is a great teacher, very well connected, and a stand up guy. I had a variety of takeaways but here's a few that stood out:

- It will help you narrow down what you’re searching for. (Needle/haystacks)
- It helps you set ground rules & creates repeatable discipline. (Follow a plan)
- Avoids wasting time (chasing deals you’ll never end up closing)
- Keeps you grounded. (You’re after one deal hot shot, not the holdco)
- Prevent yourself having a whoops moment (and then realizing you’re stuck with the baby till college)

But biggest of all, attending Bootcamp saved me precious TIME & increased my ODDS of reaching closing...

Finally, I had a blast the people I met, and still in touch with several. Highly recommend it!

Awesome experience in Tampa! I had done a lot of research and wasn't sure how much more I would learn... then I probably doubled my knowledge base in 3 days! The cohort style is awesome and I'm in close touch with several of my friends from camp regularly, and also run important issues by the group any time I'm uncertain with something. The deal team connections are huge and have added confidence for me that I can succeed on this path. It was great to learn both how to raise capital, but also that I can be an investor in other searchers deals too. Can't say enough good things and while there are certainly other hucksters online selling questionable courses - this one is definitely NOT that, and is completely worth the $$.

There are so many courses out there for entrepreneurs looking to buy their first business. 99% of it is useless fluff. Sam's bootcamp is 100% granular, practical advice that will materially help you get from thinking about searching to executing your first deal. Combine that with a deal team that is first class and a cohort of great participants and you have a few days of excellent investment in your journey to business owner. Highly recommended.

I have been a part of countless trainings, conferences, and networking events. None--and I mean NONE--hold a candle to the practical and tactical advice that you will receive from SMBootcamp. The training is no frills, all value. The content is no fluff, just the basics with opportunities to dive deeper. The deal team is worth its weight in gold. But above all: the cohort, mentors, and connectivity of the network is what makes it special. Sam Rosati, Chandler Reed, and team have built something special, and I am beyond grateful to be a part of it. 5/5 stars for me, Captain.

SMB Bootcamp is a top notch event. I attended in February 2022 and was very impressed with the caliber of speakers and other attendees. The content and teaching was exactly what I was looking for in regards to learning more about the ETA space and the conversation/dialogue while learning alongside everyone is hard to replicate over Zoom or calls. The dinners and happy hours were also a great time to get to know people at a personal level - overall, highly recommend!

I can’t decide which is the most valuable result of SMBootcamp: The knowledge, the templates, the network or the intros to world-class service providers. I’ve called on and used all of the above. Well worth the time and money.

Sam's bootcamp is a mini MBA course into acquiring businesses at 1/50th of the price of an MBA. As someone without a finance/MBA background, it was everything I needed to know about buying a business and worth every dollar.

SMBoot camp is the most relevant information you can find on how to purchase a business with investors in the ETA (entrepreneurship through acquisition) space. It was a pleasure to be a part of such an amazing cohort of future business owners. Sam Rosati has created an exceptional plan of action.

Excellent framework of content provided by arguably some of the best in the ETA (self-funded searcher) world. I have paid for and been through a couple of “mastermind” courses but this is the one-stop shop for one who seriously aspires to acquire and operate a legacy business.

I attended SMBootcamp as part of the November 2023 cohort. My time there was very well spent. I had attended the Self-Funded Search Conference in Dallas, the HBS ETA Conference at Harvard, and had read the books, listened to the podcasts, and even interviewed many Searchers and Investors. However, the difference between all of that and SMBootcamp is that it puts theory into practice.

Every question I had was answered, I was able to raise issues that were personal to me in my Search and gain clarity, and I left with a full Deal Team as well as all of the information and resources/templates etc. I need to close a deal.

Search is such a personal endeavor, and having the support, resources, and connections (and an incredible, vetted cohort) is just next level. Gaining the confidence and competence needed isn't straightforward in the SMB M&A world. However, what Sam has built here will get you there. No regrets, and time and money well spent.

I attended this bootcamp in December. It far exceeded my expectations. The network, and information that I’ve gained was far more valuable then the cost. Sam and his team really know their stuff and I highly recommend him this to anyone interested in self funding an aquisition.

This programming short circuits months of experiential learning into a matter of days. The content is top-notch, and the networking is fantastic. Worth every penny if you are serious about a self-funded search.

First, I'll say that the network you gain is worth the cost of the bootcamp many times over. Aside from this and learning all the fundamentals (including access to valuable templates that will save you time and energy), SMBootcamp prepares you for real life self-funded search scenarios. You learn from those who have operated in this ecosystem for decades. They have dozens, if not hundreds of reps in evaluating, negotiating, and structuring acquisitions. I felt like I was spinning wheels until I attended the bootcamp.
