Very slow (but eventually good) customer service

I want to update my original review as they did (eventually) come back to me and apologise profusely. They refunded the items and said I could keep them by way of an apology. So they do get back to you, I'm assuming their refund inbox is pretty full as they don't seem to be doing an automated refund process - I feel sorry for the person manning that inbox.

In future I'll only buy things I'm 99.9% sure that I'll keep from them, and if I'm not sure or it's a gift I'd probably not bother or accept there might be a very long wait on a refund or exchange.

As I said in original post, the products are lovely/very luxurious, so I wanted to be fair and update my review with most recent experience with them.

Non-existent customer service (1-star review)

I feel bad writing this but I'm at a bit of a loss. Firstly - I love Slip products and have bought many over the years for myself and friends, their silk quality is far superior to any other places I have looked, I thought I would continue to buy from them but based on this experience I don't think it's worth it.

I bought many items on the site for Christmas and I've needed to return two of them - there is no simplified returns process, you have to email them. I have emailed their returns account and their general enquiries account three times now in nearly a month and received absolutely no reply. Not even a holding email. I can't find a complaints department, I can't get through to them on the phone and I didn't buy the items on a credit card so I have no recourse there.

It's such a shame because the products are great, but I've found there is no human available if you even want something simple like a return! If you want to buy from them do it on a credit card and only buy something that you know you will definitely not have to return. I'm going to have to try to find a way to resell the items I've bought which is not fair and so much hassle when I just want them returned and refunded. Frustrating!

Awful, non-existent customer service.
Been trying to get in contact as I was charge for the free item added to basket. Looking at other reviews I'm not alone.
I have tried to contact them 4 times over 3 weeks and have been completely ignored.
Real shame as the products are great but would never purchase direct again.

Lauren from customer service came through and dealt with my issue (a GWP that was charged instead of being free). I got my refund, a freebie and a gift voucher. I feel as though Slip went above and beyond to help me. Although they were slow to respond, which was very frustrating, they made great amends to make it up to me. I am back to being a happy customer and delighted to keep purchasing Slip items for myself and to give as gifts. Thank you again for sorting this out for me. I'm giving all 5 stars despite the long wait to be heard because Slip really did make me feel valued.

I placed my order for a pillow case on 24th November. When I go onto ‘Track my parcel’ It shows that it has been sent back to them. However, despite 6 emails now I have still had no response and the phone number doesn’t connect.. I am very disappointed as this was a Christmas present. I do not have what I ordered and no idea if I’ll ever get it or get a response……and no refund. I won’t ever order with them again and will ensure my friends and family never do.

Nice website, I like the gift sets. Something was wrong with my order. I ordered on black friday. The products that I ordered were already sold out. I contacten the customer service and that was amazing. They sent me another set and a refund. Never experienced such a good customer service. The new products were also sent within a day. So I cant wait for it to arrive :)

Love the products. The delivery service is fast & friendly.

I placed an order which had been lost in transit. I was initially upset however customer service contacted me to apologise. Not only have they refunded my original order but placed another order FOC! Even sending an extra pack of Auburn Skinny Scrunchies also FOC.
Amazing especially as they are a small family run business.

Beautiful products and lovely quality. Customer service is fantastic, very responsive and resolved my queries with customer experience as the focus. Fast delivery on all my orders, really pleased and will purchase again!

I sincerely wish to take the time to thank the fabulous Customer Service Manager Lauren and colleague Courtney at SLIP, profusely, for standing out in a sea of commerce, in addition to expressing my truest recommendation in regards to the SLIP pillowcases, eyemasks and scrunchies.

It is understood and cherished that the products SLIP curates and creates truly reflect a remarkable experience, but to have enjoyed this luxurious (& necessary!) addition to my nighttime ritual has been nothing short of life-changingly astounding.

Big and important words for a pillowcase, eyemask and a SCRUNCHIE I know. But I only speak the truth.

We all know it is the people, the culture of a company, the work ethic, the kindness and grace bestowed by a customer service agent and a company to the client that makes a mission standout amid the rest and working with the SLIP Team was fabulous, unique and wildly satisfying!!!!!

Being one who reveres all products crafted with love, a story and care, the thought of these offerings making their way to me and changing the way I sleep (a most important aspect of life) and the way that affects my day, my work, my attitude in addition to the way the SLIP pillowcases and scrunchies changed my HAIR which in turn ALSO affects my day, my mood and my life brings me such joy.

True, these items could be considered a luxury, but when you actually manage to add up how many times you will now with SLIP: NOT have to dunk your head to "fix" messed up bed-head that shows itself as a frizzy and dry mess the next morning because you slept on anything BUT a SLIP Pillowcase and thus limiting water waste, coupled with the subtraction of expense in styling products because the life of your 'do can be extended longer, in addition to needing remarkably LESS deep treatments at the salon that are not cheap all because SLIP's silk has literally kept my hair HEALTHIER; not only are the savings a no-brainer, but the time saved, the energy and output saved, etc, are quite obvious. AND I have used my hot tools LESS, thus using less energy and most paramount----- limiting HEAT damage even further.

It could be seen as a "champagne problem" no doubt, but as a woman working in a modern world, the actual benefit of streamlining my life because my hair is now healthier and my face products are not rubbed away or absorbed in cotton at night and my skin is clearer, goes a LONG way in keeping me positive due to not having these "extra" superfluous but real details to deal with on the daily.

Every day I wake up with SLIP is a day with FABULOUS hair, BEAUTIFUL skin, a REFRESHED mind/soul/&body because I slept like a babbbbby feeling that sweet silk against my cheek with every turn! It is a day I am grateful for.

It must be said, I have not even begun to rhapsodize of the BENEFITS of my SLIP Silk SLEEP Mask. This particular mask (and I have tried MANY!) has elongated my sleep time, encouraged more rest and less nightly wake-ups, allowed my blackout to be real and thus keeps me resting perfectly, which in effect makes my workouts stronger the following morning, my mind sharper and my body healthier. It must also be stated that of all the masks I have tried SLIP's is the FIRST to NOT cause me to break out around the face area that a mask typically covers.

I am a LIFETIME fan and devotee, was turned on to you by an attorney I assist who has been championing you from day one, have been gifting SLIP to family and passing on the word to everyone.

Finally, I must reiterate how FABULOUS the Customer Service Manager and Team at SLIP are. They kept an eye on my order from day one, offered awesome recommendations, were available to me with "WHITE GLOVE" Service, expelled JOY, warmth and superior hospitality and I could not be more GRATEFUL!

I am very impressed with how slip dealt with an issue I raised with them. I didn’t even buy the product directly from them but they quickly resolved my concern and went above and beyond. Well done slip. I would recommend.

REFUND OR DO I NEED TO CONTACT TRADING STANDARDS!!!!!

I bought it on Black Friday around 20 days ago) and still haven't received it. The shipping link first showed it would be delivered on December st, then December 3rd and since then (today is Dec 13th) it has not been updated, so I don't even know where the item is and if it will be ever delivered. I contacted their support, and the agent said she was going to investigate, but she has not returned to me. So far, very bad experience.

I adore this company and all of its products. I have about a million of the Slip silk thin scrunchies and I have absolutely LOVED them! I have this anxiety disorder that causes me to pull out my hair without even realizing. I have to wear my hair up often so that I won’t mess with it and as a result I was having so much trouble with breakage. I purchased the scrunchies and the Slip silk cap to wear and they have made all the difference in the world. My hair is so much healthier and I really can’t thank Slip enough for their wonderful products! The products are well made and absolutely worth every penny. Slip’s customer service is also phenomenal (Lauren especially) They respond so quickly to emails and have gone above and beyond answering my questions about products!

Slip is a fantastic company with fabulous customer service which I really appreciate! The products are beautiful and luxurious. I have the hair scrunchies and the pillowcase so I feel like royalty come bedtime - what an absolute treat! Thank you Slip!

You know those wrinkles on your face in the morning that take hours to smooth out after waking? Gone. They stopped being a thing after I started using the pillowcase & eye mask. And the Slip eye masks actually block out light, as opposed to other silk brands that are practically see-through. My skin’s texture is smoother, and obviously, hair no longer tangles or frizzes. In disbelief really. The clincher, though, is the quality of the silk itself, and the fact that the pillowcase has a zip; I’ve tried other silk pillowcases, and they just don’t even come close to measuring up to Slip brand. I’ll never sleep on anything else again.

Fantastic customer service for a wonderful product. Lauren in customer service is amazing. The pillowcase is way better than anything that’s out there. I have tried satin pillowcases but there is nothing like silk. Luxurious and soft, so good for your skin and they stand behind their products.

Stellar customer service, very friendly and helpful. Feels like they believe enough in their product (rightfully so) that they can be kind to and generous with their customers. Nice to feel like being a valued customer. Absolutely in love with their silk pillow cases, I keep coming back for more and a couple of years down the line they are all still in fab condition

Slip is, without a doubt, an extraordinary supplier of luxury silk products... I am totally obsessed with their masks, robes, pillowcases... this company is always evolving and adapting to the needs of a luxury market. Internet service, product quality, deliveries...second to none.

I have ordered their mixed scrunchie set (2 large and 5 skinny) to try out. The scrunchie are great. They don't pull or damage hair and stay in place. I hardly even feel these scrunchies when I have them on and when I take them off they don't yank out any hairs. Really great so far, but I'll see how long they last.

Also, my order arrived fairly quickly and with no issues. I may order a pair of silk pillowcases as well in the future.
