This company screws all buyers on shipping. They charge per item and not the actual weight and L-W-H
of the box. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM......

Sli buy has been a favorite of ours for years now. We feel that they do their best to show good pictures and describe the items as close as possible to their true condition. We do however understand that they in most cases, are returns and even sometimes used, we make sure we bid appropriately. We did have a situation last week where our product could not be located and we were told simply to go get it refunded. It was a substantial purchase & I was beside myself. It was a mattress & my daughter had already disposed of her old one. I requested to talk to a manager & was referred to Ashley. She didn't just apologize & give me a refund, but she listened. She allowed me to express my frustration, she offered me solutions and was very professional about it. She said she would go check it for herself & also check if she had one not yet auctioned that might be similar & could possibly be used to replace ours if necessary. That immediately put us at ease. When she returned having found what she believed was our original order she gave us the opportunity to verify that it was the correct one & that we were satisfied. Ashley went above & beyond our expectations and we truly appreciate and value that as a Sli Buy customer. Thank You Ashley for a wonderful experience.

They are big scam.. no ruturn policies, product description are all wrong and lia.. so dont fall the trap

I bought a Shop Vacuum it said in the online post it came with Hoses and attachments the pictures did not show any but they could (as they often are found inside) so I got there - it had no hoses or attachments they said you will have to ask customer service and they said too bad for me its sold as is and they don't go by any description just the photos - so I'm just out the money!

I have been suspended twice this week for non payment. I have ever been sent an invoice so it’s hard to pay when I don't know what I bought. Would like to get this straightened out. John Nelson

They will rip you off every way they can. BEWARE !!!

The are professional scam artist and have unprofessional employees. You will get screwed, and when you try to get a refund, it will not happen. They cover their tracks NOT to give refunds, even though 9 times out of time they screw up. Their website is the worst, and when it crashes, it locks you out and the only way to get back in to claim the items you already won is by paying them $25.00 for their generic website. Stay far away from this unprofessional “company”.

Rude customer service absolute junk being sold. Nothing but a misleading rip off artist! Beware, do not buy any of this junk!!!!! And then the girl at the window will get rude and loud with you. And when you get rude and loud with her back. She cancels your account!!! Forgot to tell her thank you.

Only gave it 1 star because I have to; this place is terrible! They are the biggest rip-off, lying jerks you will ever deal with! It is probably my fault, though, for going back 3 times, thinking things will be different! So I won a desk lamp that was like just about everything they post (NEW/OTHER), and it did not even power on! Then I won a twin bed frame with headboard storage and LED lighting! Nope, they sent me a regular metal frame, and it was a full-size even when I went back and checked the description, they put was a twin bed frame with storage headboard and footboard with LED lighting! not what they sent me! And the third and final time was a Kobalt 2-piece tool kit that was also (NEW/OTHER!) in the picture, it showed it in a box and with all the parts: two drills, a charge, and a battery! What I got was 2 non-working drills that looked like they were in water for a year, no battery or charger, and just came in a cloth tool bag that was full of mildew or mold! Now here's where they get you that NEW/OTHER bullshit! And yeah, did I mention they do not take returns and will not give refunds! If you are lucky, they might give you a credit towards your next auction win if you can. I also believe they have bots or personnel bidding against you on their behalf. I'm done with this place I'll stick to Craigslist or Obenhuaf auctions at least they are honest!

It is so sad that Bid is no longer legally binding, you guys are starting messing with bidding adding extra two minutes after when bidding is over. Let be honest with ourselves, you guys do is illegal in Illinois that violate the business ethics.

Purchased a Craftsman hand trimmer. Description said battery and charger included. Battery was not included and they refused to make credit or return item. Deceptive marketing practices.
Update: After contacting BBB, they refunded my money in total

CAREFUL!! They employ the bait and switch scam guised as "sold as is" when they use stock photos and grossly inaccurate descriptions. They refuse refunds saying their 1 photo of a top of a box is what you get when there are no other defining markers. They also sold me used items that were marked as new. Not only were they used, but had months of damage and were still dirty!!!! They say it appeared new at a glance!! I have contacted the BBB, the Attorney General and the Chamber of Commerce! Im going to attempt the Health Department as well because thats iust gross and unsanitary. Maria the lady who answers the emails is also very unprofessional!

We purchased a lawnmower, what was put in the listing is nowhere near what we got. The listing said new and was said to be self propelled. There was grass hanging off the machine and no bagger and no battery and not self propelled..Then we purchased craftsman batteries and they didn’t work. When we took the stickers off there was a sticker underneath that said defective. This place is soooo deceitful. Stay away from here. PS. They said nothing we can do. We are just out the money.

The item in question was listed as "new," yet upon receipt, I discovered a sticker on the box indicating it was non-functional. This discrepancy is troubling, especially considering their team's examination process, as mentioned by Manager Ashley.

I purchased a coffee machine listed as “New/Other (Open Box)”, but what I received was clearly used and physically broken – the water tank was cracked and unusable.
Nowhere in the listing or photos was it mentioned that the item was used or damaged. If it had been labeled as “Used,” I never would have placed a bid.
I contacted customer service and was told they would “check with the team,” but it’s been over four days with no update or resolution.
I’ve now had to file a chargeback with my bank due to the lack of response and the misleading nature of the listing.
This is a clear case of false advertising.

This place used to be very good when at the former location. You could go and preview an item prior to bidding. Now you have to depend on their description and this is where the issues are now. They virtually list everything as either used, or New/Other. Neither of which give an indication of the condition or functionality of the item. Many "new" items are clearly used and/or damaged. With that said, I always look closely at the photos but now they are using a new trick. They will post a stock photo with a disclaimer saying the stock photo is just a representation and only to use the actual photos, however, the stock photo always seems to cover the area that is damaged or has a missing part but the other included photos cover the other sides of the item with no issues.

I used to buy almost weekly from this place but now with what I feel are deceptive (or just plain lazy) descriptions, the buyer's premium and what I believe to be automated shill bidding by bots (can't prove that) I'm pretty much done with this place. This is not even mentioning the S-show that is the pick up process (allow an hour or more at busy times of standing waiting)

Other than occasionally stopping in and going through the random bins of misc. items, I doubt I'll ever use this place again. There are just too many other similar businesses in the area that do better.

I won an item and never received the item. They refuse to issue me a refund because it was out of their hands. I have brought many items from them and if something goes wrong you nearly have to beg for help. They will give you the runaround as long as they can. I understand fully that it is a returns auction and items are as is but never receiving an item or a refund is just bad customer service. Edit4/15 i gave up on Slibuy contacting me as they said they would and received a refund from PayPal. Not one update from SliBuy

12 items and only the wheelbarrow and bread maker are functional. And I thought Bread maker was a ice maker So that's just garbage anyway. So far everything was missing items are broken and unusable without having to buy something separately to make it work which makes it more expensive than if I bought it from Menards or walmart. Example Shop-Vac DeWalt missing the hose. Can't use a Shop-Vac without the hose. Cordless drills the triggers are broke but it says new/other. Craftsman yard edger missing screw so you can't put it together And no battery. Refrigerator says new but totally damaged and ugly. Wine bottle refrigerator For a hundred dollars that Has cracked bottom so the condensation water just pours on the ground and has dents. Wasn't worth the effort whatsoever. People are buying this stuff to resell it online and at flea markets. Be careful Because they won't honor any kind of warranty.

Site is a scam and misleading, they advertise as new but yet items come with missing or broken parts. No way to get hold of them either and stuck with items that I cannot use,
