I renewed my membership in September…

I renewed my membership in September 2025 for 3 years. I was not warned at the time that both of my devices were no longer supported by the system. I was offered a 'discounted' new device ( not much of discount) . Both of my devices stopped working on the same day, so obviously this was planned to stop this service. The app for syncing doesn't work on Android phones, or so customer service tell you. Dealing with customer services is like wading through treacle, they have there script..........
Why buy a Sky Golf/Caddie membership when there are great devices with no subscription, or even free apps for your mobile.

Works one day then not the next says my membership run out in 2029 and take days to get responses from company watch was only 2 weeks old I had shot scope for 4 years never had this problem so back to shot scope it is 👍🏼

Fine print deception!

Be very careful when using this company. They are quick to to offer discounts but it comes with fine print consequence. Purchased a gps for my husband birthday and it stated it comes with a free gps skin. When receiving the item the skin wasn’t included. Gave them a call only to be told I wasn’t eligible because I used a subscription sign up discount. When I said this wasn’t made clear I was told it’s in the T&C’s. I find it shocking that you pay over £300 for an item including ongoing yearly subscription fees yet they make sure that anything ‘free’ can be excluded where possible. Massively regretting this purchase!

I wanted a subscription free unit and…

I wanted a subscription free unit and purchased this by mistake!
After using it for a year the subscription was up for renewal, I started to engage my brain a bit and thought about it, the sky caddy unit is very well made with clear layup points good greens information and so on, £200 for the unit, £30 a year birdie subs first and ear free, my last handheld lasted three years and cost £320, if this one last three years it cost £260, it’s a no brainer, to be fair it’s a great unit.
Why four stars, it had to be returned as the free years subscription wouldn’t load onto it.

Membership renewal can be difficult and frustrating

My SkyCaddie membership renewal is mid December, I started getting renewal messages way in advance, having diarised date for 2 days in advance I started to renew my membership.
An hour later having tried unsuccessfully to get the Birdie package I resorted to the contact system. Three efforts later I had a different helper who advised me to reboot my device and then restart my application. SUCCESS!
If he knew the solution why didn’t the first helper, who knew holding the on button for 25 seconds rebooted the SkyCaddie?
Note: This causes a complete reboot and update of the SkyCaddie and takes almost an hour, make sure device is fully charged.
So my membership paid a few days ahead of renewal date, not a few months! It did consume almost 4 hours of my life though!

Sky Golf and Sky Caddie poor Product & Customer Support

I have an LX5 with up to date Maps.
I cannot use the watch regularly for the following reasons:
- Poor Battery life despite one battery replacement under warranty.
- Difficult to turn on
- Difficult to charge – I can get it to 100%
I have contacted Support several times:
- First time they walked me through turning off nearly all main features, especially features that make the watch look good against its competitors and justify their high price.
- At the following enquiry they told me:
o they no longer service out of warranty watches
o to take it to a jeweler to have the battery replaced.
o However, they would not give me the battery reference number or
o Tell me where I could buy the battery.
o The first jeweler told me to take it to the supplier

Unfortunately, I upgraded my Maps subscription for 3 years – which is still active - before trying to interact with their customer services.

Thought I would try again and see what the status of that subscription was
o Did not exist online.

Although the LX5 worked quite well for the first 18 months except for some fiddly issues w.r.t turning on, I would not recommend the product or the company to any golfer due their appalling customer services and product support.
