Missing screws!!!
I bought my evolution R255MTS table saw yesterday from B&Q after hearing lots of good reviews about it whilst shopping for a new table saw.
I was very excited to set it up as it seemed to be a great and sturdy piece of equipment, however, I was very disappointed when I realised there was no way to attach the fence, after vigorously scouring through the user manual I saw that there were meant to be 7 black screws supplied with the product which hold the fence in place, but mine
had none in it. I was very excited to get to using this table saw and am going to be needing it for a project that was meant to have started today, but there is no way to use it properly without the correct set up kit.

Goods should have been with me Thursday, DHL have it but Evolution just drag their feet when yhen notified. Wanted the saw table foe a job over the weekend but that is now not going to happen. Should have gone to machine mart, never a problem with them!

Used many times all good
I have purchased Evolutions, Table saw, miter saw, also battery tools, 2 drill/drivers, impact driver, oscillating tool and reciprocating saw. I haven't had any problems with the tools and they all work ok. I did have a delivery issue on one order. I phoned them, they answered the phone after about 20-30 seconds. I spoke to a person straight away who spoke good clear English. The problem with resolved the following day with no haggling about reasons or blame. I don't know how they could have done any better. I am shocked by some of the reviews I've read because my experience with Evolution has been really good.

Just about the worst company i’ve dealt…
Just about the worst company i’ve dealt with in over 50 years!
The evolution saws are complete rubbish and in no way are they fit for heavy use.
I’ve purchased 6 of these saws over the past 3 years and none of them have lasted more than a few months.
The last and final purchase completely died after around 8 hours use. This saw was purchased and received on May 2nd and was completely dead by early June 25.
The Evolution warranty’s are just not worth bothering with as there’s no way possible these saws can last 2 years or 3 with the extended online guarantee.
My final saw packed up after very little use so i arranged with Evolution to have it collected from my house under the warranty.
FIVE times these arrangements were made and FIVE times the item wasn’t collected.
5 different apologies were received but the saw was never collected.
A complete farce from start to finish.
As mentioned i’ve purchased 6 of these saws over the past 3 years at a cost of over £1200.
Please don’t follow my stupidity and buy any Evolution tools as you will honestly regret it and waste your hard earned money like I have..
Have decided not to bother anymore so saw number 6 will follow all my others to the dump!!
Please read all the other negative reviews and read them carefully as a rating of 3 out of 5 doesn’t make good reading.
Overall a TERRIBLE experience from a dreadful company that will definitely not be repeated!! Rating 0 out of 10…

Customer Service Appalling
Bought a sliding mitre saw from this company 3 months ago. Everything was fine until suddenly the blade stopped rotating when it touched the wood. I contacted them online and sent a message from their website stating it was still under guarantee, 3 days later no reply, the chat function didn't work either. I rang them and spoke to a lady who said to send another message via their website again. The messaging facility was down. Rang them and was asked for my email address, they said they would reply with instructions of how to have it repaired. 5 days later still waiting. I've had it repaired elsewhere. The customer service from this company is appalling, the saw is ok for what I paid but won't be buying anything from this company again due to the total lack of after sales service.

PLEASE AVOID!!
PLEASE AVOID! Unfortunately, this table saw is all hype and no real substance. Not to mention the fact that the company will try and fob you off by sending pre-opened and damaged saws again and again and again in the hopes you will just accept it cause you've already taken 5 days off work for them to pick up and then re-deliver damaged saw after damaged saw in packaging that has clearly been be bashed around for months (Not just one journey from the factor to my door).
To top this all off, there wasn't even a suggestion of any form of compensation or extra accessories to be delivered as a way to say sorry (eg riving knife, which shouldn't really be a paid extra), just spotty communication at best.
Wish I had just gone for the Dewalt and got quality and saved so much wasted time and lost income off work!

Abbiamo effettuato un ordine il 19/05 dopo alcuni giorni ci viene inviata una mail in cui mi comunicava che UPS mi avrebbe inviato il numero di spedizione per il tracking online, ma la mail con il numero non è arrivata né tanto meno i prodotti acquistati per un valore di più di 1000 euro. Nonostante le molte mail ad evolution non ci è stata data risposta alcuna, sono spariti con i nostri soldi. Attenzione!!!! Non comprate da questo sito.

Nicht alles was glänzt ist Gold
Wir haben uns Ende letzten Jahres die elektrische Trennschleifmaschine R230DCT samt Trennscheibe und Zusatzscheiben mit Diamantblatt bei Evolution Power Tools gekauft.
Die Maschine kam recht bald, aber leider ohne Spannflansch, Spannscheibe und die dazugehörige Schraube. Wir konnten die Maschine also nicht benutzen und haben am gleichen Tag noch bei Evolution angerufen, leider war auf der Homepage eine falsche Nummer angegeben. Nach längerem hin und her haben wir dann eine Ansprechpartnerin an den Hörer bekommen und diese teilte uns mit, dass wir uns an den Kundenservice per E-Mail wenden sollten.
Danach ging der Spaß erst so richtig los. Nach gefühlten hunderten E-Mails und Anrufen, wurden uns nach über zwei Monaten die fehlenden Teile zugeschickt.
Nun haben wir heuer im Frühjahr erst mit den Arbeiten begonnen, da es letztes Jahr wegen der äußert ärgerlichen Verspätung durch Evolution nicht mehr möglich war. Unsere Hoffläche ist mit ca. 130 m² eigentlich sehr überschaubar und mit der durch Evolution Power Tools hoch angepriesenen Werbung ein Klacks, allerdings zeigte sich nach nur kurzer Zeit, dass die Maschine während des Betriebs komische Geräusche von sich gab und nicht mehr ganz so gut lief. Zudem sind aus den Luftschlitzen kleine Metallteile herausgefallen.
Wir haben uns jetzt natürlich wieder mal beim Kundenservice gemeldet, jedoch werden wir seit nun fast einen Monat gekonnt ignoriert bzw. wird uns immer derselbe Mist mitgeteilt, und zwar das man sich bei uns von innerhalb 24 Stunden meldet, oder dass unsere komplette Anschrift samt Telefonnummer benötigt wird, welche wir bereits längst angegeben haben.
Mal schauen, wie es weiter geht. Ich kann bloß eines sagen: "Augen auf beim Kauf von Elektrogeräten im Internet!!!"

Had trouble placing an online order for some small spare parts and they were excellent in placing the order for me and then very speedily replacing one item that was not correct. Excellent service.

Tools usually excellent, but quality control, warranty and customer service very poor
I have several Evolution tools and have often recommended them to friends. Recently though I bought a B-stock table saw which was faulty on arrival (blade stuck on raising/lowering). The only option offered was a return for inspection and eventual replacement. To speed things along I asked for a refund and bought a second for next day delivery. When that arrived, it too had an obvious fault (sliding carriage stuck).
B-stock quality control seems to be non-existent, and the handling of faulty-on-arrival products puts the burden on the customer (return it and wait for us to get around to sending a replacement). This is pretty poor customer service and it's three weeks since my initial order an I'm still chasing for a response on the second faulty saw.
The people I spoke to were pleasant but there seemed to be a a strong sense of complacency in handling the problems and a lack of genuine appreciation of the inconvenience the company's policies unfairly caused customers. This is just how stuff is done, just wait and things will eventually get sorted. A faulty on arrival unit could easily be replaced by next day delivery of a replacement as if it had been ordered. Why make the customer wait for days because of the company's own faults?
The tools are generally excellent for the money, but this kind of customer service problem -- which from reading the reviews seems far from a one off -- really lets them down.
They have, in essence, a good product. Why hobble it with such poor and yet easily fixable service issues?

Took longer than I would have wanted, slightly changed, but it arrived!
As I am beginning to write this I have mixed feelings about buying directly from EvolutionPowerTools.
On the one hand, communication was difficult at first and I was in the dark as to why the order wasn't being processed. There was simply no info. I had to write and call and basically insist on getting some feedback on what was happening. This wouldn't have been a big deal if the money had not been charged.
On the other hand, the saw which I ordered arrived (along with a blade which I received as a form of compensation for the delay that have no use for and is incompatible with the said saw) and it is a great saw. And it was fairly priced.
And now that I am not emotional about it, I would not hesitate to buy from them again.
Like I said, mixed feeling. But it is a good saw. And it did arrive. And I am extremely happy with it!!! So from 1 star to 4.

Ground compactor stopped working so phoned up Thursday afternoon and was sent a form to fill for the warranty. The company phoned me on Friday and asked when I would like it picked up. Asked for Monday and it was picked up Monday. Got it back on Friday sorted.
Staff on the phone are brilliant and the service was excellent. All in all a very good experience.

Dust Extractor Evolution R15VAC
I ordered a dust extraction unit & adapter, it got delivered to a wrong address by the courier & subsequently i phoned Evolution at the request of the courier company , Evolution quickly sent out a replacement which arrived the very next day , fantastic Customer support & turnaround..I have Evolution tools anyway which are awesome pieces of kit & now they are mated to their respectful dust extraction unit which is a brilliant little unit, A great company of people who make great power tools - Jim@BigVillageCreations

Evolution table saws having had the…
Evolution table saws having had the Rage5s for a few years and I must say being just a DIYer once I tuned it in for me it was excellent.
Now we have ventured again with the R255TBL+ now this is a vast improvement on the Rage5s and I must say that Evolution listened to what users had to say, and what an absolute joy this table saw is to use the ease of tuning it up is very impressive and simple, the storage of items is very good along with the great placement of a very important piece of kit and that is the push stick superb.
Having said all that there are somethings that need a little bit more thought nothing to cause any problems in the use of the table saws but would be an improvement,
1st the instructions could do with a serious overhaul as they are poor
2nd I think the adjustment of the 0 deg and the 45 deg concentric adjusters could be better
3rd the least being there is no storage for the various blades like on the Rage5s
Apart from those I’m well pleased with my purchase

Warranty not worth the paper its written on
Bought a brand new evomag 42, upon attempting to use it the magnet and drill cut out after drilling 2 14mm holes, called customer service to be told to fill an online warranty form, fair enough seems simple, only the warranty form was out of action due to technical issues so called back thinking theyll just take my details over the phone as its only very basic info they need, no again i was told to email them by a rude and unhelpful agent. This was on a friday. On monday email came back saying dhl would be collecting following day, no other details such as consignment number or anything just to attach case number to box. 6pm tuesday rolls around having wasted a day waiting for no collection. Email them straight away and they blame dhl. Its now friday again and no further forward than i was last friday having wasted a full day and piles of emails. In summary if you have a warranty issue good luck because youll need it! Given the choice again id either buy a better brand or buy a cheap unbadged one with no warranty as this may aswell not have a warranty anyway and is also poor quality.

UPS SCS NEDERLAND BV C/0 EVOLUTION
persönlich abgeliefert und sofort die Lieferbestätigung an kundenservice bei evolutionpowertools.com per e-Mail und Handy-Foto geschickt.
Es passierte mal wieder NICHTS - und das ohne jedwedes Zurückbehaltungsrecht!
Erst als ich am 24.03.2025 den Fall bei Paypal eskalierte kam per e-Mail seitens kundenservice bei evolutionpowertools.com am 25.03.2025 die Bereitschaft zur Rückzahlung des Kaufbetrages.
Mittlerweile hatte aber PayPal die Hände auf den gezahlen Betrag als Rückforderung, sodass EvolutionPowerTools mich anschrieb und mir die Option ließ, den Fall bei PayPal zu schließen oder zu warten bis PayPal in dem Fall entscheidet.
Da ein geschlossener Fall bei PayPal nicht wieder geöffnet werden kann, falls z.B. doch keine Rückerstattung vom Verkäufer erfolgte, habe ich mich für sicheres Warten entschieden.
Letzten Endes ist dieser Vorfall total nervig und das Geschäftsmodell ohne After-Sale-Service kann nicht ohne weiteres von Kunden erkannt werden, zumal die Suggestion von Service auf der Webseite stattfindet.
Also vor Kauf prüfen, ob man keine Rechnung, keine Ersatzteile, kein Widerrufsrecht und keinen Service in Deutschland braucht, denn der Rückversand per UPS nach Venlo hätte mich mehr als 240 € gekostet!
Faulty or not, that is the question
Ordered a very expensive piece of equipment and paid for a Saturday delivery. Only part of the order was delivered on the Saturday. I had to argue with customer support to get a refund of the delivery as they wanted to give me a part refund as part was delivered. Turned out the equipment was faulty and I was told to send in photos which I did promptly. Then I received an email apologising for the issue and asking for a lot of information that they already have. I sent it and phoned to confirm to be told that it now goes in a queue to be triaged to decide if it is a fault and then make a warranty claim. So a product that I ordered and needed for a set date is now sat in the garage unable to be used because Evolution cannot determine if the issue they apologised for is actually a fault! Now I have to wait for some other person to assess my photos and decide if I am able to have a machine that is not faulty!
Shocking customer service possibly…
Shocking customer service possibly worst tool and company I have dealt with I am now being left with having to dispose of a faulty tool after arguing for a refund as they can’t organise collection not only did we loose time on the job but money for people to wait while they didn’t collect. Never buy from them if u want customer service

Warranty not worth anything, but sorted in the end
Just received a table saw from Evolution. Good bit of kit except the rack and pinion that moves the fence gets stuck half way. I am told by the company that it's is 'within tolerance'. If it is then their quality assurance must be dreadful and their warranty not worth a anything. So it's a big gamble buying from them. You may be lucky and get a good machine, but if you are not, don't expect any help.
Update on 25th Mar. Issue now resolved with thanks to Sarah in Customer Service who never gave up trying to help. This was in stark contrast to Evolution's Technical Assessor who made the initial wrong snap judgement. Something perhaps the company should learn from..... In the end all was sorted and, as I said above, it's a good bit of kit.
