The SheCodes learning experience stands out as the best among all the coding websites or bootcamps I've encountered. Matt has made everything incredibly straightforward, simplifying the materials in a way that's easy to grasp. I truly enjoy learning with SheCodes.

Evenfir a beginner like myself, Matt made coding so simple. I was able to learn in a few days.

I was looking for a front-end developer course, that was also "free". I stumbled onto shecodes and I had remembered hearing about them a few years back. When I went to the website and reserved my spot, I was very excited to learn and shecodes claims it's completely "free", so I thought this was my ticket to building a better future for myself.

To my surprise, the only thing that is "free" is the one hour pitch that you reserve your spot for. Near the end of the presentation Matt mentioned a discount code and my heart dropped cause I was told this is free, I hate and dispise companies that preach free but the only part that is free is a quick presentation. From my prespective I went from excited to learn for free to being hit with a $150 - $3,500 CAD price tag (depending on the course you decide to do), that doesn't really scream free.

I find companies like this are ones you have to be very careful around. After being hit with the prices and getting a bad feeling in my gut I decided not to use shecodes and told my other friends not to use them either, but they came to the same conclusion as me, so thankfully I didn't have to convince them to save their money.

Overall very disappointed with the miss leading and will continue to tell peolpe not to use shecodes. Don't advertise something as free, when it really isn't.

I loved the SheCodes Basics Workshop. It has a self-paced manageable schedule. The explanations provided by Matt, the exercises and self-study challenged me and increased my knowledge and skill. I can't wait to start the next Workshop and would encourage other ladies to join SheCodes if wanting a great tech career.

I truly enjoyed my experience with the SheCodes Basic Workshop. I had some previous coding experience but since it's been awhile it was great to brush those skills off by completely starting over from the basics. By taking the Basic Workshop I'm feeling confident and excited to dive deeper in other Workshops that are offered.

From Overwhelmed to Excited! When I first started SheCodes, I was completely overwhelmed by coding. But the course structure, along with amazing support, quickly turned that around. The lessons broke everything down in an accessible way, and I discovered how coding can be creative and fun! Now, instead of feeling intimidated, I’m excited to keep learning and building on this foundation. SheCodes truly sparked my passion for coding, and I can't wait to see where it takes me next!

It has been an interesting start and there were a few bumps here and there but overall, I enjoyed the workshop. The lessons were clear and very informative. I enjoyed the challenges in between, which helped with practicing coding instead of just watching someone else do it. Looking forward to the workshops that are to follow.

SheCodes is great. It has a free coding workshops for women and you get to choose when you want to start your workshop and you can pause and continue whenever you want. It is very good for people with busy lives and demanding jobs.

I'm doing the SheCodes Front End Development Plus course, and I’m beyond disappointed. The experience has been frustrating from start to finish. The instructor's teaching style is confusing—he constantly goes back and forth on explanations, making it difficult to follow along. The videos feel outdated and could definitely benefit from a much-needed update with a clearer script to reduce confusion. Instead, it feels like we’re stuck with poor-quality content that does nothing to simplify the learning process.

Worse yet, when you go to check the reviews on their website, you can't filter them—so of course, only the glowing reviews are shown. It's disingenuous. I did the Basics course, which was great, so I had high hopes for this one, but the Plus course has been an absolute nightmare. I feel so frustrated that I could cry, knowing there are still so many weeks left to endure.

It feels like such a waste of time and money. They claim you'll leave as a junior developer, but I can assure you, that’s far from the reality. If I could turn back time, I would NEVER sign up for this course. It feels like just another case of a man selling a subpar course to women, capitalizing on false promises.

Stay away from this one if you value your time, energy, and money!

Update after the SheCodes response:
I don't need to take a break, I need clear instructions from the teacher. When I say he goes back and forth, it's not in a good way, he goes back and forth like "This is complicated but you don't need to understand this so let's skip this" or "I don't really know what I'm doing but that's how the coding journey is like". I believe he already made enough money and he could write a script and make videos with clear instructions.

And really, you need to enable the filter on the reviews if I had seen any of these bad reviews I found on TrustPilot I would NEVER have bought the course.

I just completed the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript basics workshops, and they were absolutely amazing! The sessions were super engaging, interactive, and fun. The hands-on approach kept me excited to learn, and I now feel much more confident in building my own web projects. Highly recommend to anyone looking to dive into web development!

I've completed both the basics and basics add-on courses and I think its amazing, the bite-sized challenges in the lessons help the information stick into my brain, and the final projects were very fun to do! My personal favourite highlight was learning about making light/dark modes on webpages!
