I had a lot of fun during the workshop. The workshop gave me a lot of aspects that I have never considered before.

Valuable training, the hybrid experience helps to cover the basis at your own pace and to address specific strategies to improve your communication with personalized feedback during the live workshop.

It was great

It was very informative, with lots of useful comments on the sensible use of colours in images and slides. However, the colour scheme designer was a bit too much for me. I doubt I will use it. Some of the advice, such as avoiding capital letters in slide titles, is difficult to implement as it forms part of the research centre's corporate design.
I am very sceptical about one point, though: using AI to prioritise the topics of a presentation. This is an exercise that requires constant repetition to train the mind. You shouldn't rely on AI here, especially since it is only based on existing knowledge and does not recognise new concepts. This is something that should really be discussed with your supervisor and the group.

Online course and in-person workshop are both perfect. Although sometimes I had some difficulties in using online platform, the contents are suitable for improving my visual communication skills.

It was in general a bunch of really great advice and creative input on how it is able to make figures and slides much more appealing and much easier to understand. Since this is something nobody teaches people at universities or research labs, it is really good to have this as a guide to design these things.

It is a very useful concept and has been explained in a very clean and understandable way. I learned a lot and the workshop itself was a very nice and pleasant experience, I liked the coordination and the combination between presenting, discussions in small groups and options to ask questions. Nothing was too long or too short. The overall atmosphere was very nice.

Nice and interesting course, but definitely too long and oversell. The same concepts can be delivered in a quarter of the time. All the frameworks seems a bit overrated.

A lot of interactive activities and feedback, not just from the speaker but with our peer.

I liked the fact that we got personal feedback for our work, along with a clear presentation and suggestions of what should be changed, and most importantly, HOW it should be changed. Also, I appreciate the various examples of how to implement the principles taught, along with the reasoning behind them.

The online courses provided to prepare for the online workshop were very well done. The online workshop itself was very well structured so that it was very intense but still digestible.

It helped me very much to reflect, what is really important for a scientific presentation in terms of structuring the content, highlighting the key messages and making it easy to understand to both, a skilled and naiv audience.
