Tried to phone to ask advice on a current policy at 2.30 on a Friday. Pressed the option for current travel policy and emergency and the it said they were closed and the line went dead. Not very reassuring at all.

Many insurance companies presume that just because I am in my seventies I must have numerous ailments and their quotes reflect that. This was simply one of the cheapest and easiest to navigate the website.

Paid but no policy
Paid for travel insurance and did not receive any confirmation email with policy numbers although payment was taken. Called several times, bounced around different departments and switch boards without any assistance. Stay away!

Arranging the cover on the internet (via the Meerkats) was easy and straightforward.
A good price for a wide range of cover.

Did what it said on the tin
It was easy to get insured and at a reasonable price. I haven’t made any claims (and hope not to) so can’t comment on that side of the customer care.
