Music ordered 3.00 Tuesday afternoon, arrived 10.00 Wednesday morning. Cheaper and quicker than Amazon.
And it's great to talk on the phone to real, knowledgeable and clearly really nice people.

Through my own fault, I mistakenly ordered the reduced score of Karl Jenkins' 'The armed Man'.
It arrived promptly and the refund was made with no quibble. Therefore Forwoods are fully deserving of 5 stars from me!

My school has been using Forwoods for the vast majority of our students' music needs for many years now. We order hundreds of books a year, and Stephen and his team have always been incredibly reliable, as well as helpful and supportive whenever needed! We would not go anywhere else for our sheet music supplies.

I have been using Forwoods to supply our busy music department for some 14 years and their service is excellent. They are knowledgeable and helpful and delivery is always quick. They have often sourced music for me that is not on their website . I have also used their website for personal orders and have been very pleased. I highly recommend them.

I placed an order with Forwoods ScoreStore on Saturday 7th March, around lunchtime. The website showed all three items of my order as being in stock, and the countdown clock said that they could be delivered on Tuesday 10th if I ordered within X minutes. Great. Top marks for website ease of use. I assumed that the countdown would mean same day dispatch, and the default Royal Mail Tracked 48 delivery made Tuesday seem a realistic prospect. We live in a world of efficient dispatch and swift delivery, after all.

Unfortunately it seems nobody told that to Forwoods.

My order wasn’t dispatched until Monday morning, and according to Royal Mail, it wasn’t handed to them until late Monday afternoon. Not exactly the end of the world, but that Tuesday delivery slot was now looking somewhat dubious! Still, with 48 hour delivery, it should arrive on Wednesday 11th, right? Only a day late.

Well, on Wednesday 11th, I got an email from Royal Mail saying that my package would be delivered on Thursday 12th. Now two days late. Then on Thursday, you guessed it, no package. I suppose they might attempt delivery on Friday 13th(!) but I won’t be home to accept it since I’ll be away for the Mothering Sunday weekend. So who knows when I’ll get it!

Now, I’ll happily admit that Royal Mail’s general incompetence is not the fault of Forwoods. However, since Forwoods force you to use Royal Snail with no alternative offered, I’m going to blame them anyway. If nothing else, the website’s delivery countdown clock was clearly a complete LIE without that same day dispatch.

So the moral of this story — NEXT TIME USE AMAZON!!

Ordered a music score on 25 Jan 2026 and the amount was debited from my credit card straight away. I still haven’t received the item, despite phoning them on 6 Feb. I was told that there could be a supply issue and someone was going to contact me. To date (10 March), I still haven’t heard from them or received my order.

I have now emailed them to ask for a full refund. If they do not have this item in store, they should not be advertising it on their website or taking money.

Since posting my review, the company has got in touch and refunded payment in full. They also apologised for not getting in touch sooner, and they will aim to do better next time. As such I accept their apology in full, and that it is a genuine business trying to make it work but with rooms for improvement which I understand.

I ordered a large set of music on 23 December and it was delivered on 24 December. I was expecting to have to wait until the new year. Delighted! Well packaged, very good price. Perfect!
