Alex kept steering back to what the site should accomplish, now how it should look. He said something early on about pretty not paying bills, working does. Took a while to get what he meant.
Old site looked fine sitting there. Just never did anything. People landed, glanced, left. New one behaves differently. Same traffic but way more of it turning into form filled, stuff bought.
Feels less like we own a website and more like we hired someone who never clocks out. Took a few weeks to notice. Number made it obvious.
If your site's just sitting there looking fine, I would say this helped us Scale Me Locally more than and ad campaign we've run before. Didn't expect a redesign to move the needle this much.
