Welcome to the R Woodfall Group of independent family owned Opticians
We are a group of friendly, expert, optical practices who have served our communities in South East London, North Kent and Surrey for decades.
We have many years of experience in taking care of all our customers’ eye care needs and concerns. Our friendly team of eye care professionals offer quality eye care, optical products, and exemplary customer service to all of our clients. We make sure to take the time to hear the needs of our customers and have since developed a recipe for a consistently enjoyable experience.
Our team of experienced optometrists, dispensing and contact lens opticians are dedicated to providing you with exceptional quality eye care services, at fair prices, you can trust us to take care of your eyesight and vision needs.
We offer a wide range of services including specialist eyecare, dry eye management, sunglasses, children’s eye care, myopia management and hearing care.
Our practices are located in Crystal Palace, East Dulwich Purley, Sydenham, Welling, and West Norwood. We look forward to welcoming you to the renowned Woodfalls experience.
We pride ourselves on the expert and friendly service we offer at each of our six branches.
The clinical reputation and range of services offered by Woodfalls has continued to grow, our success has been due to our committed optometrists, fully qualified dispensing and contact lens opticians, optical assistants and a team of dedicated support staff.
Our practices are fully equipped with the latest in optical equipment and all of our branches offer specialist services. We have the latest OCT (optical coherence tomography) machines at all six sites, we now also offer Optomap scanning, plus The Hearing Care Partnership to provide all things audiology.
As an independent group of opticians we dedicate the time necessary to ensure our customers receive the best care and advice. We work closely with our clinical partners to ensure we focus on our local communities and provide the very best clinical care.

Excellent service. The reception staff are professional & efficient. Bev is a fabulous optician-very thorough & good at explaining her findings. Ren is a great dispensing optician & is helpful & patient. Altogether a good experience

Following cataract surgery on both…
Following cataract surgery on both eyes, I knew I needed prescription glasses for reading.
After a very thorough examination on both eyes, I realised that my long sight could still be significantly improved with the help of glasses.
All options were discussed with me and I do not believe anyone could have taken more care or trouble to ensure that the glasses I chose were exactly right for me.
At their suggestion, I am waiting a little longer to ensure my eyes are completely settled and then I will order my glasses from Purser's.

I have been going years to Pursers in Purley . Always welcoming and the optician is always very thorough.
2 x Glasses and 4 lenses seemed very expensive was told they are designer.!

I was very pleased with the optometrist…
I was very pleased with the optometrist and the manner in which she dealt with my eye test. The staff are very helpful. I do find the cost of new glasses quite high and there is no discount for pensioners.
