Booked and paid for a room at this hotel back in Oct 2024. Booking confirmed and booking code issued. The stay was for 1 night on 5/4/25. Less than 2 weeks before we should have stayed I received an email to say they had overbooked so were arranging to relocate us to another hotel. This was disgusting considering the booking had been made 6 months. Certainly wouldn’t consider this hotel again or recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely useless and waste of time. The bookings are not instantly confirmed. And of course there is always a fake "error" statement which is given as an excuse the next day and they try to charge you more money for the booking. And the new price they propose is higher than you can find on other well known websites. This is truly a scam, absolutely disgusting.

had to cancel a trip due to strikes and had a free refund available so thought i’d get my money back. repeatedly been told via email my refund will be processed in 45 to 60 working days. they 60 days have came and gone and ive still not had my money back.

Would give less than one star if I could. Booked a hotel with them and they changed it 12 hours before we went. Not only did they change hotel but is a completely different resort. Had no choice but to accept the change with such little warning and not having much time to rebook something else. Just arrived in the different hotel and resort and it’s absolutely abysmal. Disappointed is an understatement. DO NOT book with these crooks. Ruined our holiday completely and it’s only the first day!

The following review was removed and I would like to know why. This was my genuine experience and I was only reimbursed with the money owed back to me £480 on 17th January 2022. Please reinstate my review with immediate effect. I have the evidence if you need to see it and I wish I could score the organisation no stars. My money stayed in their account and made interest for them and not for me.

I booked my hotel with this organisation in June 2019. I got a good deal for my travel that I had planned for the following year to Bali for the International Midwifery Congress. Unfortunately due to the pandemic the cancelled and held by video link.
Since then I have tried unsuccessfully to get a refund. I was informed, this is a German company so they did not have to pay my money back and I could use the amount as a voucher for travel etc etc.
As everyone knows this has been virtually impossible plus my financial status changes drastically with the pandemic as I have not worked.
The German government stated full refund of unused vouchers should take place by the end of this year. So I will keep everyone informed"

Their customer service is not proactive . I had to cancel my trip to the hotel due to a high wind condition that the police and MET office advice not to travel to the area . Roomxxl contacted the hotel but did bother to respond to my e mails and speak to the hotel . I contacted the hotel but they insisted that the agent , being Roomxxl to contact them .

I am very frustrated that I am still yet to receive my refund. I cancelled my hotel booking on the 29 June 2021. I provided my account details promptly when requested on the 6 July 2021. I chased again on the 13 July 2021 and again today, 21 July 2021 and I am just repeatedly told that accounts are aware. This is unacceptable service.

Lot of negative reviews on here but have to say I had to cancel my booking to Crete because of Covid19 and have received a full refund, I did E Mail to chase but received within days, presume slight delay was due to unprecedented circumstances, would use again in the future.

Tiers of smokesceens and devious. They operate as a company in one location in Germany, the registered address in another location. Depending which website, .uk or .com is advertises London or Orlando. I booked a room though them recently via Trivago. The inc breakfast rate was less than the hotel directly but when the confirmation came through it was minus breakfast. The additional breakfast then made the room more expensive than direct with Hotel . I immediately took issue and requested to cancel with full refund and they refused. The room was not confirmed with the hotel until the following day and i received no email confirmation from roomsxxl. There is also confusion with roomsxxl which is a hotel in Croatia whose website links directly to booking.com. BEWARE!!!

This is a scam company. I booked a hotel through them and had major issues with the hotel. The advice they gave me, inflamed the situation and they refused to reimburse me for the unused nights of my stay and tried to pass the buck to the hotel to refund me. Know that this company gives you zero customer service, it's not worth booking through them. I will be taking these guys to court.

I have to say my experience with roomsXXL has been one of the worst I have experienced.

I booked a room with them and then had to re-arrange over dates. Most booking companies would be great but roomsXXL do not know what customer service is.

Despite emailing them I did not get a response so I decided to call them, the staff were rude and unhelpful and even put the phone down.

On there website it says customer reviews 4.72 which is clearly untruthful..........

Beware keep away from them.
