I have had the best experience shopping with Rodd and Gunn - Hazleton store Canada online and virtual from Vancouver Island. Exceptional service and personalized attention from Mona. She helped me find quality clothing for my son and spouse. I love this store. I will keep coming back. I probably own the whole store lol but I’ve never met such a dedicated employee. Because of my experience I bought a full wardrobe. Thanks Mona. PS Jon Robbie (18) wears the clothes and people take notice of him. Great quality. Linen gorgeous. Compare this to Harry Rosen where the staff person argued about the fit of a shirt with me after I spent money at their store and was a returning customer. Rodd and Gunn is to me the symbol of quality.

Appalling Attitude by Manager at Macquarie Store
I visited Rod and Gunn store in Macquarie Centre today and unfortunately had the worst customer experience in my life. Appalling attitude shown by the Manager Rossann Fianaser who was extremely rude loud and unprofessional. I asked her if I can use my gift voucher for a purchase I made and she initially said yes they normally don’t do this but will do it for me. Once she started looking at the transaction, she backed out and said that she can return the purchase and give me back the gift voucher. I said how is it any different from having a gift voucher now and there is no point of returning the item and that she could have said it earlier and not wasted my time. Upon this she started getting aggressive to cover her lie earlier. She was extremely loud in front of at least 3-4 customers in the store and 2 younger staff. This is your role model for your younger staff and the way she behaves with customers. When I said that you are rude and should learn some customer skills, she got almost abusive and said to do whatever I can and complain against her and wrote her name on a sticky note and said to leave the store immediately. It was absolute disgraceful attitude shown by your manager that was simply unwanted and uncalled for. Extremely disappointed and hope an action is taken against such a unprofessional manager who is defaming Rod and Gunn and I am one of the loyal customers of Rod and Gunn for over 25 years. Simply unacceptable and appalling.

the attitude of your younger employs is nothing short of appalling i have been a customer of rod n gun for 30 years an if i might say a good customer my history is there for you o check i went to your willas st shop today 2 purchase 2 pairs of pants and 2 shirts and was met with the most appalling young guy with longish hair that's no issue but because im 70 years old his attitude 2 me was nothing shot of disgraceful i left and went to a men's ship not far called men to men on Victoria st wellington wear i got 2 pair of grace and 2 shirts at a cost of $1100 never aain will i grace the door of your shop
Winchester Store
I have been bought Rodd & Gunn clothing before from NZ so was interested to see them open a store local to me.
I have seen indifferent reviews for the UK side of the business on here but the Winchester store I have found so far fantastic. The staff are very helpful, good selection of stock and garments are well made. Wonderful mens clothing shop that the town centre really needed. Worth a visit if you're in the area.
Lost a new customer
Lost a customer before I'd even bought anything. Belstaff fan, so liked their style, as it's designed by former designer from Belstaff, for a lower price.
After that initial interest, all a bit vague. When is Glasgow store opening? -Don't know.
Call Edinburgh store, do you have boots in stock to try? -No.
Call London store -No answer and don't call back when I leave message.
Will spend the extra at Belstaff instead.

My partner recently shopped at the Rodd & Gunn outlet in John Lewis London and was thoroughly impressed. The store's layout and high-quality offerings stood out immediately. He bought a shirt and a couple of regular-fit pants, all impeccably crafted and comfortable.
The highlight of our visit was the exceptional service from the outlet manager, Jenna. Her warm welcome, extensive product knowledge, and personalized recommendations made us feel genuinely valued. Jenna's dedication and attention to detail ensured we left completely satisfied.
In conclusion, our experience at Rodd & Gunn was excellent. The quality of the clothing and Jenna's outstanding service have made me a loyal customer. Highly recommended!
Cardigan shrunk
Purchased a cardigan and washed it by following instructions and it shrunk returned to store only to be given the 3rd degree by the sale assistant about how I don’t know how to wash a woollen
item. As I explained I only have mainly pure wool knitwear and take extra care in washing and never had a problem.
Dreadful customer service
I ordered a fairly expensive pair of boots from R & G late last year. Within weeks the laces shredded. Not a big problem, just put new and better quality ones in. Last week however, one of the top lace retainers snapped off. Tried to use their so called "customer service page. That just bounces back as undeliverable. Tried to email the only address they give out. No reply or response whatsoever.
Haven't worn them a great deal, and really looked after them so I was surprised not only by the poor quality, but even more by the appalling customer service. Dreadful
Logo on the shirt melted
In January 2024, I bought a couple of shirts and T-shirts. Unfortunately, after wearing one of the shirts only once and then washing it, the logo got melted when I ironed it. When I tried to return it to the St. Luke's store, the sales staff were unhelpful and refused to replace the shirt. Their argument was that they hadn't encountered such an issue from other customers. While I appreciate the quality of some of their products, their sales approach and rude staff could damage their reputation. I won't be purchasing from this brand again unless they agree to replace the shirt, which cost around NZD 130.
Superb Boots!!
Recently purchased the Dundedin boots. Love the colour (Chocolate), great fit and build quality. Can be worn with jeans and trousers. Will definitely be buying in other colours too!!

Terrible customer service
I ordered 3 pairs of shorts. I was charged for 3 pairs of shorts before the items shipped. I only received 2 pairs of shorts. The packing list included with the shipment clearly indicates that only 2 pairs of shorts were shipped. I did not receive a refund for the shorts charged but not shipped.Good ecommerce companies only charge for items shipped. If an item isn't shipped good e-commerce companies do not charge for unshipped items. I contacted customer service. In spite of the fact that their own packing list clearly indicates that I was not shipped an item that I was charged for-- they told me I had to take a photo of the items received and that it would need to be "researched" with the warehouse. What needs to be researched??? Their own system says I wasn't shipped an item but I have to send photos and wait for it to be researched. I've never had to do anything like this before with any company. Awful customer service. I will be submitting a fraud claim with my credit card company tomorrow. I should not have to go through this complete hassle to prove I didn't receive an item I was charged for and their own systems know that I wasn't shipped that item.

I love the clothes and have spent a lot with them of late. However when I rcently saw the NZ cost versus the UK for the same item I shall not buy anymore from them. A T-shirt in NZ NZ$40 in the UK£90. Even allowing for VAT and shipping and adjusting for FX rate (c.$2:£1) the £90 is ridiculous. In fact its a rip off. I can see maybe £50 due to higher UK costs, freight (marginal) but not, effectively a $140NZ uplift
