Whilst the removal men themselves worked very hard and were lovely, unfortunately our king bed frame was damaged and not usable leaving us with a mattress on the floor. Despite the men admitting it was their fault we have had to ensure weeks without a bed whilst Robinsons and their insurance company go back and forth. To be offered £100 when they broke a very good bed is shocking and reflects an extremely poor attitude to customer care when things do go wrong. We cannot recommend this company!

Right from quote, to completion day, informative,helpful and friendly. Moving day went smoothly and quickly with particular thanks to Sophie in the office, Zak and Jason the day before and on the day, as well as the other team all coming to help. Great job, 100% reccommend these guys.

What an amazing company. From day 1 at first phone call to moving us to our new home Robinsons were amazing. Used Robinson 30 years ago and they were brilliant. For what is hopefully our last move we checked the reviews which were still good and booked them. Once again, faultless service, attention to detail. The guys were so nice to deal with and full of helpful advice on where to put various pieces once we arrived on our new house. Everything was meticulously and carefully packed and labelled. Highly recommend.

The service was excellent from start to Finish from planning the move, delivery of box’s and wrapping paper. The day of the move was well planned and organised the staff were excellent, everything moved with no damages.
I would be more than happy to recommend Robinsons to everyone I know.

Impressive selling pitch by the owner Anthony Robinson, clearly adept at promising the full service, that our property would be cared for, we’ve been in business for years, consistent reviews, etc etc.

A not-inconsiderable sum of money was then paid in advance of the service being received.

The move itself was not without drama, including the team overlooking we had confirmed move dates and then denying it until the evidence was presented to them. This was in the final days before the move, so we’d already been forced to identify alternative relocation providers. The only pathway forward was for the move logistics to be split into three phases, collection, storage and then delivery, over a week.

Move itself went well, the team on the ground worked very hard. Sadly within a few days delivery of many boxes and other non-packed property we discovered a box had been mislaid. Only one out of many, this is a logistics business so probably not unheard of. Raised this with Robinsons who after some intransigence and denial directed me to their ‘claims process’ which included completing a form summarising what was in the box. We had largely unpacked by then so identifying the items lost was a simple process of elimination. Claim was submitted… and then after a few weeks the bombshell. With almost a sense of triumphalism Robinsons announced through their ‘claims handling third-party’ that according to the contract boxes we had packed were only insured to a value of £100 each, regardless of contents. Despite the slick-salesman Anthony enthusiastically highlighting the £75,000 insured value as highlighted in bold on the front of the contract, the impact of this was our insured cover was actually less than £20,000 as we had self-packed all of our boxes, which is probably the case for 98% of movers.

Whilst the provision that cared for this significant exclusion was clearly in the contract, which I had signed, there was no attempt by slick-salesman Anthony to highlight this rather glaring contradiction (and exclusion) at the time he was seeking our business, even if this meant I would have known I needed to procure additional insurance cover. Not wilful misrepresentation but clearly a significant and purposeful oversight. With many other industry verticals you receive a key-facts document, so you fully understand what you are getting but also what is not included, sadly it seems the removals business is still the wild-west. There are some organisations purporting to be providing governance to the removals business but they are not independent, they are funded by their members and seem to exist mainly to provide air-cover for their business practices.

I would have no complaints about the guys who moved us, they were a great team. My frustration and disappointment is with the somewhat aptly-named business leader and management, who at no point responded to multiple requests to reach out to discuss the issue, did not issue an apology for the loss (the mislaid box did contain some irreplaceable family pictures amongst other items) which could have been caveated to exclude liability, that their loss claims process was misleading - requesting I complete a claim form of several pages, requesting invoices for items etc knowing full well that all of that would be moot as they would only ever offer £100.

I am quite sure the Robinsons admin team will respond to this review with a carefully curated word-salad statement but the fact remains such a glaring omission in clearly articulating what was included and also what was excluded or limited would have allowed me (and all their other customers) to make informed decisions. I was promised a care-free experience but the reality was the outcome was both frustrating and distressing during what is always an emotionally-charged time for anyone moving to a new property.

In summary - oversold, misled and underwhelmed.

Outstanding service from beginning to end. Utterly professional staff and high quality customer support available throughout.

Robinson's were professional from start to finish, we had a large volume of stuff and a small child so opted to use the packing service as well. The foreman (Anthony) was great, they came the day before the move to pack the vast majority of our stuff and followed up the same day. The extra service included disassembling and reassembling our beds which was a game changer for convenience.

Despite some delays on the day of the move, the lads worked through to the evening and put everything in the relevant rooms at the new property.

Can't recommend them enough, thanks again!

We moved from the UK to New Zealand. We had used Robinsons once before, so we thought that we would get good service again. We couldn't have been more wrong.
Our furniture turned up damaged and damp with water stains all over our mattress.
My Snap on tool box had items stacked on top of it that scratched through the paint causing damage.
When our furniture was measured up twice to see that it would fit in the container we were told it would all fit, but we had to leave items behind because they measured up wrong, and would not help with sending the extras separately.
When the packing crew came we went through and showed them the items that were not to be packed. Once it arrived in NZ we unpacked items that we told them we're not going.
There was approximately $20,000 worth of damage and when we made an insurance claim we had to fight to get a mere $2,000.
I would never recommend them.

We had a fantastic moving experience from Robinsons on Wednesday. The 3 guys were super helpful and considerate on the day and just made everything go as smoothly as it could. Thank you Nathan, Tom and Zak for your hard work on a very long, hot day!

Excellent service. I was really impressed with Robinsons from the initial contact phone call right through to getting us moved. Craig was excellent in assessing our house move and gave us good advice re a 2 day move, and Sophie was really supportive in the office in reassuring us they would be available when dates/house exchange was last minute. Throughout the whole process everyone was courteous, professional and really supportive. I cannot fault them. The removal men over the 2 days were the same throughout and extremely professional. I would most definitely recommend the company and use them again if needed. I can't thank them all enough for making the move easy!

Moving my mother after more than 40 years in the same home was always going to be a major undertaking, but Robinsons Relocation made the entire process smooth and stress-free.

My family has a long association with the business, as Peter Robinson, the founder, was a great friend of my father. It was therefore particularly pleasing to experience the same commitment to customer care and professionalism from Anthony and his team.

From the initial planning through to moving day, everything was handled with care, attention to detail and excellent communication. The team were respectful, friendly and incredibly hardworking, taking great care of my mother's possessions and ensuring she felt comfortable throughout the move.

What stood out most was the genuine care shown to my mother during what was a significant life change. The team treated her and her belongings with the utmost respect, which meant a great deal to our family.

Well organised and methodical in how they worked. Our was a reasonably long distance relocation to a remote part of Wales but the team were diligent and focussed on getting the job done. Sadly one box of items was mislaid but hopefully this will be shortly handled by them.
I'd have no hesitation in recommending this firm to others.

Robinsons were brilliant from start to finish - Sam Gibson was my point of contact and he was absolutely excellent, very patient with all my (many) questions, excellent communications and he made it all very stress free for me. The crew that delivered my items were also wonderful - so helpful, friendly and I appreciated their attitude very much!

Robinsons were amazing from the start. They were recommended to us and they didn’t disappoint. The quote was competitive. The process was explained up front with our move was planned to happen over 3 days.
The team turned up on day one on time. They had a look around the house and decided the order to load the van and got to it.
Day two was similar with the afternoon starting the unloading process at our new house.
The guys in the team were all polite and helpful.
We were downsizing and the unload was proving a challenge but the team were very patient.
All in all an excellent experience over a stressful few days.
Only advice I would give to Robinsons is that, as we were able to book the moving date well in advance, it would have been nice the get a call or email a couple of days before our move to confirm that they were going to turn as I’d had no communication from them for a couple of weeks.

Moving in a heatwave is never ideal but these guys absolutely smashed it!
Jason and Oscar arrived at our house before 8am (and it was hot already) and did an amazing job at clearing everything into the vans. Fast forward to getting our keys at 3pm, they bought two more guys with them and moving into a 3 storey house, were lugging boxes up and down consistently, all with good humour and a smile! Great team and wouldn't hesitate to use them again
