Dr Charlotte Woodward advised me on what we could do to improve balance in my face and we mapped out a plan, she advised me to see a specialist to help clear up my skin first - something I have been batteling with for the past 2 years but this is the frist clinic to advise I needed different treatments a clinic cann't offer.

I would definitely recommend River Aesthetics, very professional and kind staff, after my consultation I came away with all the information I need to make a decision as to what to take further.

I’ve only had a initial consultation but it is immediately evident your in the hands of exceptional experience. I saw Victoria Manning her reputation precedes her: she trains the trainers & is top in the UK for threads: Enough said. I’ve looked a long time to find this level of experience & ability.

I saw the lovely Natalie for a Hydrafacial at Bournemouth for the first of a few treatments , she kept me informed as to what she was doing and made me feel very relaxed all the way thru . Results were great and can’t wait to go again . The girls on reception were very welcoming, all in all a great experience .

Saw Charlotte for a consultation regarding getting rid of the vertical lines in my neck. I was thinking about thread lifts but was told this wouldn’t work as the reason for my lines was fatty deposits under the skin. She recommended cool sculpting.
When I came home I researched cool sculpting and was very worried to discover that 1 in 138 treatments result in a hardening of the fat which makes it bigger and much more prominent. This would only be fixable by surgery or possibly if you’re lucky liposuction.
I feel these risks should have been explained to me at the time of my consultation with Charlotte.
This is on my face - the one area I can’t hide and if there is such a high risk this should have been explained at the initial consultation.
The leaflet that Charlotte gave me about this procedure also (in my opinion) shows minimal improvement at best by 12 weeks after two sessions that were spaced 6 weeks apart.
I have since seen other facial aesthetic practitioners who completely disagree with Charlotte’s assessment. They have told me that I have hardly any fat under my chin or on my neck and as such this procedure wouldn’t achieve the results I wanted. I have been advised that thread lifts would work for me but the effects would not last as long as I’d probably wish for. This is because apparently lifts on the neck only last 9 months or so and I would therefore be looking for them to be redone every year or so.
I will not be returning to River Aesthetics as I do not feel confident that they have my best interests at heart.

Very nice doctor Woodward who was informative . And through zoom I was assessed for the treatment I am considering . I would have preferred a face to face appointment but hoping that this is enough for her to access my skin .

A really helpful first consultation, in which Charlotte carefully reviewed my options and advised me accordingly. I felt I was in the hands of an expert who really cared about the outcomes for me, and what I would be happy with.

I saw Dr Victoria Manning for threads and I'm so happy with the results! I was worried about looking OTT but the effect is subtle, yet markedly different. I had barely any bruising and zero swelling and the whole procedure was a breeze. Dr Victoria is lovely, very welcoming and friendly, and looked after me when I had a funny moment. Several friends are now eager to book in after seeing my results.
Overall really great experience and I'm pleased I paid a little more to go here, definitely worth it.
