I already have enough coffee and forgot to cancel my subscription and this morning had an email saying I'd paid for a box. I emailed them and with in an hour or so got a Reply. Jen helped me and said they'd cancel and refund the order for me or delay which ever I wanted.
They were helpful, and gave great customer service. I'd recommend as a customer or as a person whos forgotten to delay an order who needs help.

For coffee lovers
The coffees are delicious and definitely niche. Not made for everyone though. Only if you are quite open to different tastes. Their service is very friendly as well and I love the booklet with the info on where the coffee is coming from. Only minus is that I am a huge coffee drinker, and the price tag is not the most affordable. If you drink 1/2 coffees a day I highly recommend it.

We generally source coffees that are chocolatey and nutty and great for your flat whites or americanos but do occasionally also include coffees that are a bit different too.
Perhaps the bi monthly option could be good for you, or keep an eye on our blog as we reveal the coffees on the 1st of each month.
Hopefully next time we can get the ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ next time! :)

Best start to the day
I only have one cup of coffee per day, so I need it to be good. When I looked into subscriptions, the Guardian gave Rise a great review and that was good enough for me! So far it has been excellent and I look forward eagerly to each new delivery.

Just had my first box
Just had my first box, I’m really pleased with it. Great super fresh coffees at a great price and really convenient.
I emailed customer services about something and Jen was super helpful, which makes a huge difference. I’ll be keeping my subscription for sure.

Received the Christmas advent calendar…
Received the Christmas advent calendar as a gift. The coffee was great each day and superb variety and tasting note explanations. However, Christmas eve was decaf which was a little disappointing - had to then pop to the shop early morning to pick up coffee. Then Christmas day was an empty box, though had bought alternative coffee the previous day so was covered! I had difficulty claiming the gift and forgot about it. Now just tried to claim the gift again (11 Jan) and I received a prompt saying it expired 31 December.
Fun idea and good coffee, but disappointing ending to a Christmas gift.

First of all, we’re genuinely pleased to hear you enjoyed the coffee itself, the variety across the calendar, and the tasting notes - that means a lot to us as we put in so much time in sourcing them.
Regarding Christmas Eve and Day: our thinking behind including a decaf on Christmas Eve was that it could be a nice evening option ahead of the big day, but we completely understand why that felt disappointing - it was a really good coffee, so hopefully you did enjoy it (even without the caffeine). We’ve taken this feedback on board and will make sure future calendars are caffeine-only.
On Day 25, our advent calendar is designed as a 24-day countdown to Christmas (as per the front and back), but we fully appreciate how an empty door on Christmas Day can feel like an anticlimax in the context of a gift. That’s on us, and it’s something we won’t repeat either!
In terms of the gift claim, we did communicate in emails and online as well as at the top of the page that the form would close on 10th January, and asked anyone who missed it to email us directly - so we could still provide the same experience. Unfortunately, we can’t keep the form open indefinitely into the new year, but we’re always happy to help manually.
If you’d be willing to drop us an email at hello@risecoffeebox.co.uk, we’d genuinely love to send the gift out to you directly and hopefully help end things on a better note and reconsider and hopefully we can make it a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ experience.

Great concept but execution fell flat at the end.
We were really excited for these advent calendars when we ordered them. When we first opened them, we were a bit disappointed about the design choice of brown, yellow and pink and flat graphics - a bit bland for our tastes for getting into the Christmas spirit.
But we loved the coffees and the copywriting on their website about the coffees was excellent. A few technical hitches where sometimes the site wouldn't load but nothing too bad.
The reason I give this experience 2 stars is that we went away two days before Christmas and came back after the new year. We were excited to open our Christmas Eve coffee. And it was a decaf.. Oh well, a bit of a surprise but not what we were looking for in the morning. And then we opened the grand middle 25th square. And there was nothing! Except a QR code for a surprise gift. Which expired on December 31st.. Double whammy of disappointment.
To be fair, it does say on the box it has 24 specialty coffees (rather than 25th), but unfortunately the experience still felt disappointing after a great middle bit.
Hope this feedback gives you some tasting notes for next year and you'll come back stronger!

Regarding Day 25: our advent calendars contain 24 coffees as a countdown to Christmas. That said, we completely understand that opening an empty door on Day 25 may have felt like a let-down, and we’re sorry about that. In hindsight, we should also have kept the Day 25 gift available for longer. If you’d be happy to email us at hello@risecoffeebox.co.uk, we’d love to include you and send you the mystery gift directly!
We recognise that this may have felt like an anticlimax and can assure you we won’t make this mistake again. The free gifts are genuinely great, and we really hope you’ll enjoy them 🙂
Our thinking behind including a decaf was that it could be a nice Christmas evening treat the night before Christmas. However, we appreciate that this didn’t land as intended, and we’ll make sure next year’s calendar is caffeine-only.
Regarding the design, we absolutely take your feedback on board. We surveyed our customers and this was the chosen design, which we do like, but we agree it could have been brighter. The 2026 design is much more colourful and fun. If you’re happy to email us, we’d love to share it and get your thoughts - we always enjoy involving customers in the process.

The best advent calendar idea!
My partner was delighted with this! He’s a daily, regular (too regular, maybe!) coffee drinker and loved not just the coffee but the notes about flavours and history.

Best Coffee Subscription.
Been using RISE for a while now and I can’t recommend enough. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The variety and quality of the coffees is like I’ve not experienced before, the free gifts in boxes are a fab touch and information they provide on each blend is incredible to know the history & putting spotlights on different roasters. My family and friends now all use RISE too.

Advent calendar
A nice idea but a bit of a fail! I was given the Christmas coffee advent calendar as a birthday gift at the end of November. Each day a surprise! Some days empty, some days the wrong coffee and some days were right. Obviously had a surplus of Rwanda to get rid of! Rather disappointing but gave us a laugh! The coffee itself is ok, a fair amount of it very bitter.

Absolutely delicious coffee every month! The subscription element also saves me from forgetting to buy speciality coffee and then not having any in the house for that important morning pick me up or a special guest arriving. I think it’s better value as well. Thank you RISE!

Best coffee subscription around!
I don’t normally leave reviews, but had to share my experience with my Rise subscription (I’ve been a subscriber for a few years now!).
If you’re considering a speciality coffee subscription, honestly look no further. Each month, we receive a different freshly roasted coffee, which keeps things interesting and allows us to try something new each time. Plus, we’re learning so much about our own coffee preferences (I love anything with chocolatey notes, whereas my husband likes anything fruity!).
Not only is the coffee delicious every time, there is an educational element to the subscription, where we now understand what it means to buy and drink from sustainable roasters! Which is so important as consumers…
Rise are a great brand, with an incredible back story- I’ve not come across anything quite like it :)

The coffee trial it cheap but the bailies coffee is very bad, diluted, and taste of nothing it has not even coffee taste felt like I was drinking water horrible, had to throw it in the bin, and this is the only two types they offered and it's not organic and they want £44 for a subscription it's too much money for low value.

It sounds like the bag you received may not have been up to the standard it should be. Sometimes, even with specialty coffee and strict quality controls, a batch can slip through that isn’t quite right. We’d be more than happy to send you a fresh replacement bag to try again, in case this was the case. The coffee changes every month and it’s not the only bag we order - we could send you a bag from this months box to see if you prefer it?
Bailies are also one of the top roasters in the UK and this isn’t reflective of their coffee.

I’m always a little dubious about subscriptions to coffee as I had a bad experience with one! However, the aroma when I opened the packet was intense (in the best way) The Assembly coffee, nutty overtones and I had it filtered and the first sip persuaded me that this is definitely a company I want to continue with.
They did forget my cafetière however the response was immediate and it has been promised in my next subscription 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

what can I say what hasnt already been said, I personally do not judge a compant on how well they deal with orders and purchases especially when things are going fine. however I do like to commend somebody when they deal with problems in a good timely and efficient manner, long story short there was a miscommunication with the RISE subscription app and the linked SHOP app i have on my mobile phone which somehow placed 2 orders before I had received anything, anyways paranoid me starts thinking I have been scammed and was being taken for a ride but this was 100% NOT the case, after a few emails backwards and forwards to Alice I can confirm that this company is 100% legit and should anything go wrong I can hand on heart state that they deal with any problems immediately and with a resolute outcome, Now I feel such a klutz because I left them a shameful review on their own website and dont know how to edit or remove it, please forgive me RISE
