When we arrived we was greeted by James who talked us through the process of making his rum, my husband was given a glass and also got to taste rums straight from the barrel then tasting the selection of rums that James makes to sell we was then able to buy a bottle
James is so passionate about his craft and was a great way to spend an hour especially if you are a Rum drinker

My partner and I visited Revival Rum Distillery as a birthday treat, and it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable and memorable experiences we’ve had.

What made it truly special was how personal the tour felt. It was just the two of us with James, which made the whole experience incredibly intimate and engaging. James was enthusiastic, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what he does. His knowledge of rum and the distilling process was fascinating, and he explained everything in a way that was both informative and relaxed.

We loved learning about how the rum is crafted from scratch using traditional distillation methods, and it really gave us a new appreciation for the care and time that goes into producing such a quality spirit.

The tasting was fantastic too — my partner sampled a host of different rums while hearing the story behind each one made the experience feel even more special. I was driving and unable to taste the rums on the day however James gave me a sample set of rums and a little tasting glass to take away which was such a lovely touch!

If you’re looking for an activity that is a little different, whether you’re a rum enthusiast or just curious to try something new, I can’t recommend the tour enough.

We received the Tour as a Christmas gift. We were not sure what to expect but thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. James was so passionate and knowledgeable about the distilling, so refreshing. We could have talked for hours with him. The variety of rums and different tastes was amazing. We came away feeling as if we were wearing our favourite woolly jumpers, all warm and relaxed. My husband and I visited Revival Rum for a tour, on the recommendation of The Good Food Club. James, the owner and chief distiller, is very knowledgeable as well as entertaining. He pitched his explanation of the rum-making process at just the right level and was very happy to answer questions. My husband enjoyed sampling the rum and felt it to be of very high quality. I , as the driver, was given 4 miniature bottles plus a glass to take away.
We can both highly recommend the experience.

We had an incredible time touring Revival Rum Distillery, and James was the absolute highlight of the visit. From the moment we arrived, he was warm, welcoming, full of energy and such good fun to be around! His knowledge of rum was outstanding, and he shared it with such passion and clarity that even the most casual rum drinker would walk away feeling like an expert.

James struck the perfect balance between informative and entertaining, making the whole experience engaging from start to finish. His hospitality was second to none, and it genuinely felt like we were being hosted by an old friend who just happened to know everything there is to know about rum.

If you’re even remotely curious about rum, or just want a brilliant day out, I highly, highly recommend visiting James at Revival Rum. You won’t regret it!

Tried the aged rum, great fruity esters; banana, raisiny. Some vanilla…Liquid rum and raisin ice cream…Delicious! Looking forward to trying the raw cane spirit soon!
