I started a complaint against Matalan

I started a complaint against Matalan, who refused to reply.
I could not progress to a solution and was left in limbo by Matalan and Resolver.
Will not bother using Resolver again.
They were good in the past but have now deteriorated

Unfortunately, at no point can we guarantee a positive outcome to any case - it is, in the end, up to the company you are complaining to, to resolve the issue.

In any case of a limited or unsatisfactory response from a company we would advise you to be as proactive as possible with your communications. Continue emailing both through your Resolver case file and directly to the company. If you don’t receive a response, try reaching out via their social media channels to prompt a reply - make it as difficult as possible for your complaint to be ignored.

Resolver? More like Deflector. A Masterclass in Doing Nothing.

Very good bad service indeed. Brilliant for their pockets, catastrophic for the rest of us—hopeful, frustrated, and naïve enough to believe Resolver exists to help. Spoiler alert: they don’t. They exist to simulate help, to perform resolution, and to deflect with astonishing consistency.

Their business model? Pose as a bridge between consumers and companies, then quietly moonwalk away when things get serious. They’ve found a lucrative niche: the illusion of advocacy. A digital waiting room where complaints go to die, dressed up in polite templates and automated shrugs.

I wasted my time. You shouldn’t. Especially if you’re trying to complain about Vinted—a company that practically spells out SCAM in its user experience. Resolver will do absolutely nothing. No pressure, no escalation, no accountability. Just a polite “we’ve forwarded your concern” and a long silence while the company ignores you.

And when you ask for follow-up? You’ll get a recycled paragraph, maybe a smiley face, and a reminder that Resolver is “just a platform.” Not responsible. Not involved. Not useful.

If you enjoy shouting into the void, Resolver is your stage. If you want actual resolution, go elsewhere. Ombudsman, legal action, public exposure—anything but this digital placebo.

Resolver’s purpose has always been to make it easier for people to raise and manage complaints, completely free of charge. It’s important to remember that we can’t guarantee a positive outcome for every case - ultimately, it’s up to the company to resolve your issue. However, based on user’s feedback, many companies tend to respond more quickly and effectively when cases are raised through our system.

Regarding your concerns about not being able to escalate your case further, since we work in line with each company’s customer service process, we can only offer escalation options that they already have in place. If a company doesn’t provide escalation stages or isn’t regulated by an ombudsman, we’re unable to offer those options either. In Vinted’s case, their process is very limited, but for most other companies, our system will guide you through available escalation routes until you reach a resolution.

It’s also worth noting that going directly to a regulator or small claims court is usually not possible at the early stages of a complaint. You’re legally required to give the company an opportunity to resolve the issue first. Our system will prompt you to escalate to a regulator if, after several weeks, your issue remains unresolved.

We completely understand how frustrating it can be when a company doesn’t engage or resolve your issue. While we can’t force a company to reply, we recommend remaining as proactive as possible with your communications - in many cases, persistence does lead to a response over time.

Resolver is my automatic go to when i have a problem. They help to sort your problem out without needing to find or pay for a lawyer. Resolver helps in all aspects of life they have been my automatic go to for many years now.

It works!

I have used Resolver four times to help resolve issues with companies. Often it’s impossible these days to talk to a person or even email! Everything is organised by companies to make you give up getting justice because of this, it’s so frustrating. Resolver cuts through all this and gives you access often to the top. I would thoroughly recommend Resolver if you have a genuine problem with sellers.

Often the only way to get a response

In my experience, companies who were not responding to complaints when using their own, generally very complicated and difficult, procedures will magically respond immediately when contacted via Resolver

Fantastic website

Fantastic website. I have used it to help others claim money back that they would not have been able to. Elderly people, no smart phones or internet had delayed flights - got them the delay compensation that they were entitled to. Process was easy with this site so happy to use my phone or IT skills to help them.

This site makes it easy for people to help others. It’s brilliant that it is free please keep it that way.
Like someone else I am extremely surprised that people have put negative comments, it’s free, it helps it doesn’t guarantee the outcome you want but it certainly helps you.

BTW white consumer goods breaking down after only 2 years.
I have had limited success but that is the companies at fault not this website and the exploitation of their so called paid for warranties eg domestic and general who were awful complete time wasters , Hisense with poor quality products and AO who sold me the £800 fridge that broke in 2 years.

This website is great it’s unfortunate that goods are not built to last now and customer service and warranty don’t seem to exist.

I bought flight tickets from a national…

I bought tickets from a national airline company and was unable to use them due to being diagnosed with a serious health issue. I was having no luck in getting the tickets refunded at all until I used Resolva. I spent months trying and Resolva resolved the issue in 'ten days' I was gobsmacked.

Resolver helped to claim back the PPE…

Resolver helped to claim back the PPE and the bank account that I was paying that I did not ask for. Resolver provided templates for all the letters that I needed to send to the bank. I received all my money back from the bank that they unlawfully took.

I found out about Resolver via Martin…

I found out about Resolver via Martin Lewis (Money Saving Expert).
Having tried making a claim against a travel company and basically getting fobbed off, I asked Resolver to help.
To cut a long story short they certainly did just that and My claim was upheld.
If you haven't tried Resolver before, please give them a try.

i have used you before but this last time it has been awful no help at all just been ignored with no result with no interest with a company whom has taken £600 of my money for poor goods and no service at all so why dont you help me please in wrote my case on your web site but still nothing is being done to help my case raised for over s year now

In the event that you haven't heard back from the company in a while, we would suggest being as proactive as possible with trying to re-establish communications. Send a follow-up email from your case file, or call the company directly to prompt a response. This will make sure that they stay engaged with your complaint, and will hopefully be able to resolve your issue as soon as possible.

I got a result from resolver for delays…

I got a result from resolver for delays in flights with Aer Lingus I always sing their praises especially as they don’t charge for service It was in 2023

Resolver helped me to win my…

Resolver helped me to win my compensation case from Evri.
Evri delivery driver walked through 2 red rope markers onto a newly laid driveway and left his footprints thus ruining it,
Without help from Resolver I would not have got compensation from Evri to cover replacing the damaged area of driveway, I am so grateful to Resolver.
