I cannot recommend this platform based on my experience.

I booked an Audi A3, but when I arrived I was given a very old Toyota Auris instead. This was not an equivalent replacement in terms of comfort, quality or driving experience.

The vehicle had over 350,000 km, worn-out suspension, a noisy undercarriage, multiple dents and accident damage, and torn interior upholstery. It felt like a car that had reached the end of its service life rather than a rental vehicle. I was traveling with my daughter, and this was extremely disappointing.

I accepted the replacement only because I had just arrived in a foreign country and had no realistic alternative. Advertising one vehicle and providing something completely different and in such poor condition is misleading.

To make matters worse, instead of addressing these issues professionally, the owner responded by attacking my character with insulting comments rather than discussing the facts.

My advice to future customers is simple: make sure you receive exactly the vehicle you booked, and inspect it very carefully before accepting the keys.

Picking up the car at the airport was easy. This was not the case for other tourists we saw, who faced discrepancies regarding the type of vehicle offered. The agent was very responsive. He was highly helpful and allowed us to optimize our vacation thanks to his advice.I highly recommend this group of agencies given the services they offer and the related rates. However, it is prudent to reserve the vehicle with the minimum down payment and to be firm and very vigilant during pickup.

Super recommended application if you want to rent a car in Albania. Reliable, precise tips and prices that are more than affordable. The machine was as described and the modest deposit required at the end of the rental and has been regularly replaced. Great deals especially that included full insurance!!!

Everything went smooth

We were given a different car than the one we had booked (in my opinion, a worse one). The car wasn’t completely clean, the rear-view mirror was broken, and it was impossible to see through the rear window. Throughout the entire rental period, the check engine light was on, and occasionally the exhaust warning light also came on.

On the other hand, the rental company responded fairly quickly to our messages, and in the end everything was resolved without any major issues.

Nous avons loué une Mazda 6 auprès du loueur Rent Car Daluxe Fladjo via Rent From Local.

Dès notre arrivée, nous avons rencontré un premier problème : la personne de Rent From Local nous informe que le véhicule n’est pas présent sur le parking, alors que nous avions pourtant bien indiqué lors de la réservation que nous souhaitions le récupérer à cet endroit.

Nous avons ensuite essayé de joindre le loueur, sans succès pendant une quinzaine de minutes. Il finit par nous recontacter en nous indiquant qu’il arrive dans une dizaine de minutes, puis quelques minutes plus tard qu’il sera là dans 3 minutes. Au final, nous avons attendu près de 50 minutes avant son arrivée.

À son arrivée, le véhicule présenté n’était absolument pas celui que nous avions réservé. Il s’agissait d’une voiture très abîmée, avec de nombreux impacts et bosses sur l’ensemble de la carrosserie. Le loueur nous explique alors que notre véhicule initial aurait eu un accident et nous propose ce remplacement. Étant donné que ce nouveau véhicule était automatique alors que nous avions réservé un modèle différent, il nous demande en plus 25 € supplémentaires, ce que nous avons bien évidemment refusé.

Nous avons ensuite dû nous rendre à un distributeur automatique accompagné du loueur afin de pouvoir effectuer le paiement. Durant le trajet, son comportement nous a semblé très peu professionnel : il ne portait pas sa ceinture de sécurité et utilisait son téléphone tout en conduisant à vive allure.

Après lui avoir réglé la somme demandée (il n’avait pas de monnaie, nous avons donc dû lui laisser 5 € supplémentaires), nous montons enfin dans le véhicule. Nouvelle surprise : impossible de le démarrer. Après plusieurs essais, nous découvrons qu’il fallait appuyer extrêmement fort sur le bouton Start & Stop pour que le véhicule fonctionne.

Et ce n’était pas terminé : l’autonomie affichée était de 0 kilomètre. Nous avons donc dû nous rendre immédiatement à la station-service la plus proche, heureusement située à quelques mètres. Cette situation est totalement inacceptable !

Par ailleurs, le véhicule consommait environ 11 L/100 km, ce qui est extrêmement élevé. Nous avons dû dépenser environ 75 € de carburant pour seulement 300 km parcourus.

Au final, nous avons décidé de rendre le véhicule, car il ne démarrait qu’une fois sur dix. Il était impensable de poursuivre notre séjour avec une voiture aussi peu fiable, au risque de nous retrouver bloqués à n’importe quel moment.

Nous ne recommandons absolument pas cette agence. L’expérience a été très décevante du début à la fin et ne correspond absolument pas au service attendu d’un loueur professionnel. Nous comprenons que Rent From Local n’est probablement pas directement responsable de tous ces problèmes, mais il serait important qu’ils revoient leur collaboration avec ce prestataire, car une telle situation est inadmissible.

Great experience with these people from Rent From Locals! They were always gentle and kind. The car service was fine, their attention were warm and friendly. I should highlight the transparency, the quick and efficient communication with them in every moment we need. They make things easier.

All went well. Pick-up of the car near the airport (walking distance). Took a while for the car to arrive at the pick-up place as it was delivered there right after a drop-off in another city and traffic was bad. Handover of the car was very smooth and uncomplicated. 12V outlet was not working, charging mobile phone was only possible after replacing the respective fuse. At the end of the rental period, the owner came to pick-up the car near the hotel and it was not a problem to extend the rental for a couple of hours as we came back a bit later than anticipated.

Everything was simple!
