Happy with my new remote and happy with the great customer service. There was a delay in the shipping of my item but I was able to communicate with their team and received a pleasant and honest response. The service team followed up and my item was delivered in the next few days.

I was sceptical, having bought " universal" remotes in the past that failed. Very pleasantly surprised with quick delivery at a reasonable price of a product that paired perfectly with my Samsung TV.

Proceed with extreme caution before purchasing from this business.

In my opinion, the website creates a misleading impression of the products being sold. Many listings prominently use official manufacturer model numbers (Samsung, LG, Panasonic and others), display what appear to be genuine manufacturer product images, and advertise large discounts from inflated "original" prices. This presentation can easily lead consumers to believe they are purchasing genuine OEM remotes at discounted prices.

Only after raising concerns did the company acknowledge that the images on their website may not accurately represent the product supplied and that it may not have been sufficiently clear that the product was a compatible replacement rather than a genuine manufacturer remote.

That admission alone speaks volumes.

There is nothing wrong with selling compatible replacement remotes. The problem is when the product presentation creates expectations that the actual product does not meet. Consumers should not have to discover this only after the item arrives.

What made the experience even worse was the amount of time spent in an endless troubleshooting cycle. Despite repeated testing and detailed explanations, the discussion never addressed the real issue—the difference between what was presented on the website and what was actually supplied. Instead, the focus remained on more tests while the underlying concern was avoided.

The resolution offered was a small partial refund that did not reflect the nature of the complaint.

I encourage anyone considering purchasing from this website to examine the listings very carefully. Don't assume that the product images, official model numbers, crossed-out "original" prices or marketing claims mean you are buying a genuine manufacturer's product. Obtain written confirmation before purchasing if originality matters to you.

Based on my experience, I have lost confidence in this retailer's advertising practices and cannot recommend them.

★☆☆☆☆ — The Remote Shop (Order RS3090)
I placed and paid for this order over two and a half weeks ago and I am yet to receive my goods. This has been one of the worst online shopping experiences I have had.
On 7 May, I received an automated "Your order is on the way" email with an Australia Post tracking number. When I checked the tracking, it was immediately clear that only a label had been created — Australia Post confirmed they had never physically received the parcel. The goods had not left the warehouse.
I emailed The Remote Shop on 16 May asking for an explanation and a realistic timeframe. No response. I followed up again on 19 May, this time formally requesting either immediate dispatch with confirmed tracking, or a full refund by close of business the following day. Again, no response.
To summarise: this business took my money, generated a fake tracking label to give the impression the order had been dispatched, sent an automated "on the way" notification that was completely false, and then ignored two emails over the following weeks.
Whether this is gross incompetence or something more deliberate, I cannot say — but the outcome is the same. I have paid for goods I have not received, been misled by tracking information, and received zero communication despite multiple attempts to resolve this.
I would strongly caution anyone from ordering from The Remote Shop.

Sent faulty item and ignored emails requesting an exchange or refund. Scam.

Absolutely terrible product — avoid at all costs. It barely worked properly from the start, was painfully slow, and only responded if you stood right in front of the TV. Then after just a few days, it completely stopped working altogether.

I contacted customer support trying to return the faulty product, but never even received a response. Really disappointing experience and a total waste of money.

I paid for a Samsung remote and despite a number of emails requesting information when it would be sent I received a "We are very sorry for the delay and it will be posted tomorrow." Well tomorrow was a Saturday and the item has not arrived after two weeks. Stay away from these thieves.
