Fantastic pre-sales and after sales. Great solid product with easy to understand instructions... we managed to assemble the Thornham metal double bed in half an hour. It is ideal and very comfortable. Can't fault a thing... very impressed and will use Reinforced Beds again and recommend. Thank you!

Really pleased with both the bed and the service I received. Bed is super sturdy, great quality and was easy to assemble. When I needed replacement parts they dealt with it straight away and sent it out immediately. It's nice to deal with a company that does what it says it will do. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I am absolutely disgusted by the level of service received from this company. My delivery arrived heavily contaminated with a severe, foul odour of dog mess. When I raised this with customer service, they refused to offer any compensation or resolution because they "could not see the smell" in the initial photos.
I subsequently provided further video and photographic evidence showing clear darker marks on the packaging where something had been but they dismissed it as "general handling marks". They refuse to even arrange a collection of the box at their expense to verify the issue for themselves. To diagnose a hygiene hazard purely by eye through a computer screen is a major safety failure. Completely unacceptable and zero accountability. Avoid this company. While the bed frame is undeniably strong and sturdy, which is a positive, it suffers from several frustrating design issues that buyers should be aware of:
• Bed Bug Risk Due to Holes: We all know that metal beds generally offer better protection against bed bugs than wooden ones. However, this particular design is an exception. The frame has numerous open holes where bed bugs could easily get inside and nest. Once inside a hollow metal frame, they would be incredibly difficult to treat, creating a much worse breeding ground and risk than a standard wooden bed.
• Frame is Too Low: The bed itself sits quite low to the ground, which may not suit everyone.
• Impossible to Tuck in Sheets: There is no clearance or space left at the headboard or footboard. This makes it incredibly difficult to easily tuck in your sheets and blankets, turning a simple task into a frustrating chore every time you change the bedding.
It is a durable frame, but the design flaws make it hard to fully recommend.

Response to your reply It is disappointing that Bedcare Ltd spends more time writing defensive essays online than actually inspecting the defective and contaminated items they deliver.
Let’s clarify the facts:
1. The Packaging Contamination: You claim you cannot see evidence, yet my photo and video clearly showed a localized, heavily discoloured dark patch on one specific part of the box. It was completely different from uniform "transportation dust". You claim you take hygiene seriously, yet when I asked you to collect the physical box at your expense so your team could inspect the stain up close and smell the dog mess for themselves, you flatly refused. You cannot claim an investigation is "fair" when you actively refuse to look at the physical evidence.
2. The Bed Bug Issue: You claim the metal mesh is better, but you completely ignored my point. The issue isn't the mesh surface—it is the fact that this specific frame has open, hollow holes built into the design. If a bed bug gets inside a hollow metal tube through these holes, it is impossible to treat or clean, making it a much higher risk than a solid wooden piece.
3. The Design: Stating a poor design is "intended" doesn't change the fact that leaving zero clearance at the headboard and footboard makes it an absolute nightmare to tuck sheets in.
Instead of hiding behind computer screens guessing what a dark stain is, a reputable company would have collected the item to verify a severe hygiene complaint. Shoppers beware: if your order arrives contaminated, Bedcare Ltd will blame "dust" and leave you stuck with it.

I purchased a bed from Bedcare in November 2025 and paid £125 for delivery and assembly. What should have been a straightforward delivery turned into a four-month ordeal involving six visits, repeated mistakes, damaged parts, missed timelines, and significant inconvenience.
In total, it took six visits and approximately four months from the original delivery date before the bed was finally assembled correctly on 22 April 2026. Throughout this period, I repeatedly had to take time away from work, rearrange my schedule, work from home to accommodate visits, and move furniture each time contractors attended.
Although Bedcare repeatedly apologised and acknowledged shortcomings in the service, they ultimately refused to refund the £125 delivery and assembly charge, arguing that the service had eventually been completed. I didn't ask for any other refunds or compensations, just the £125.
While the final outcome was a usable bed, the overall experience was extremely frustrating and fell far below the standard expected when paying for a professional delivery and assembly service. A process that was supposed to take 2-3 weeks took around four months to resolve, involving untrained staff, missing parts, damaged components, repeated delays, and multiple unnecessary visits. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Bedcare's delivery and assembly service.

Easy to ring company (which is so refreshing nowadays) and very pleasant to speak to if you have a question.
The components of the bed are well made - took longer than expected to put together (but I’m not experienced in self assembly) - clearer labelling would be preferable and if screws on slats could be made easier that would help - I did mange it on my own though and very pleased with end result, thank you

Very easy to order with all required measurements given that I needed to know, ie under bed height was important for me as I wanted to know my current drawers would still fit under the new bed. It was quick delivery with very good tracking making it easy to see where your delivery was on route. Chose the delivery to room option, as we have two flights of stairs to the bedroom and the boxes are large and very heavy . We assembled it ourselves and it was a little fiddly at times, but as two OAPs we managed it easily. Although we didn't need a reinforced bed, we only weigh 20 stone between us, I just wanted a solid bed with firm base for my back problem. The bed is so strong and solid it will last for forever now. Looks very nice and for the money I doubt you will not find anything more solid on the market.

Delivered when they said, the bed is exceptional, easy to put together, very sturdy, I'm thrilled to bits with it, would recommend it to anyone with a heavy member in their family, this frame isn't going to bend nor twist 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Solid framed bed, fast delivery, web site easy to use and lots of different size and colour options to choose from. The frame can be a little fiddly to put together but as long as you have plants of space around it you shouldn’t have any problems with it, I would recommend getting your own hex keys to use as the ones I got with my bed lasted 3 bolt before rounding off, thank fully I have my own set at hand to finish the job with. Still other than that I would highly recommend buying from reinfoced beds again any time.
