My son was looking for a new car and saw an Audi A4 for sale by RCS on AutoTrader. It was a perfect fit for what he wanted. We had no prior knowledge of RCS but were encouraged by their AA Dealer Promise. We test drove the car and, after an inspection, my son went on to buy it. We had a good experience with the purchase; Jim was very friendly and helpful.

However, within 24 hours, we noticed that the coolant level was constantly dropping - suggesting a water leak. We had the car inspected and serviced by our local Audi dealer who confirmed a water leak. They also found a couple of other defects that were not obvious when we purchased it. We raised these issues with RCS and, from the start, they were incredibly receptive and helpful and promised to rectify all the issues free-of-charge. In fairness to RCS, they had purchased the car from an official Audi dealer (in the South-West of England) and, despite that dealer having done an inspection and service, the Audi dealer had either failed to find or declare the defects before selling the car to RCS – very poor indeed on Audi’s behalf. (RCS showed me a copy of the service/inspection report provided by the Audi dealer). That left RCS financially exposed but, right from the start, the MD, Chris, gave us a total commitment to putting it all right. We returned the car to RCS and it went in to RCS’s chosen garage. All parts fitted were Audi parts – we were given a list of all the parts ordered from TPS. Chris even got involved in sourcing and purchasing a part himself because TPS were out of stock of this particular Audi part. Some of the work was more difficult than anticipated and the car had to go to a local Audi dealer for some of the work to be done – yet more expense for RCS. Whilst the car was away, RCS provided us with a courtesy car free-of-charge. Chris personally managed the work and provided us with regular updates. On return, all the issues identified in the Audi inspection had been fully resolved.

The team at RCS were incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the whole process and turned what have could have been a negative customer experience into a highly positive one. Based on our experience, we highly recommend RCS and would say that customers can buy with confidence knowing that, if there is a problem, RCS will take total ownership and, with no quibbles, sort out the issues at no charge to the customer. We were very impressed that the MD, Chris, personally managed the process and we found him very friendly and helpful. Overall, we have had a very positive experience with RCS.

RCS Car Sales pulled out all the stops to get our daughter’s first car ready for her. After a bad purchase through another dealer with no assurances, we decided to try RCS because of their AA backing and professional attitude. This together with an AA vehicle inspection (which we were happy to pay for) and RCS’s commitment to address the MOT advisories and more, following the AA inspection, meant that we ended up with a great car. Natasha sorted everything out and kept us informed (though we did feel some pressure to complete the deal whilst we were waiting for the AA report). If you want good service and peace of mind, then we highly recommend RCS … we’d definitely use them again.

Terrible, in every sense of the word!! We brought a car from them and before we had even made it home the check engine light was on. Several wasted trips later and still no resolution. I am in no doubt at all that all the positive reviews on here are fake. If you check any other review sites (I wish I had) they have very poor ratings. Avoid a all costs

RCS, They might as well wear stripped jumpers and a mask. Bought a car 8 months ago secondhand from the forecourt and paid twice its value.
Lemonade cars at champagne prices. On test driving said vehicle (car had no fuel in it) I found a few niggles. I mentioned it to one of the reptilian-esq salesman(let's call him Dick, as in Turpin) thinking It would all be sorted on collection, but no, they couldn't give a monkeys... Fast forward 8 months and it's currently at a reputable garage, having new brake discs, brake pads and tyres,. Eight months in and I'm all ready chucking money at the thing... All in all, I wouldn't buy another thing off of these shysters but, you have to make your own mind up, it used to be such a good place when it was Laugharne garage. I've heard they ENT got the best reputation in the trade, so beware, and spend your hard earned elsewhere.. Maybe at the Winchester club. Make mine a large V. A. T...

Bought 62 plate Renault Scinic low mileage after less than 2000 miles clutch failed gold warranty not worth the paper it’s printed on cost £990 for repair no help from RCS no reply from Jim

I have never purchased a car from a dealership before and after going to a few, doing a couple of test drives and seeing how different dealerships were I would never go anywhere else again! Big special thank you to Jim who was really friendly, there was absolutely no pressure on the sale, I booked to test drive one car and he had no issue with me test driving a few more I saw when I was there and I drove away in the new car the same day after getting all the finance details sorted! Absolutely brilliant experience and couldn't be happier with the car I have and service that was provided!

Don't bother.
I purchased a car from RCS earlier this year on finance. I had the car less than a week before I had to call a mechanic out due to a major fault. After being advised to return the car, their attitudes changed really fast and they became difficult, stubborn and uncooperative. Despite the fact that they were obligated to collect the car as they had delivered it (as advised by Trading standards) they forced me to pay to have the car recovered and returned, as they refused to return the financed money until I did so.

They then made their duty to make it as hard as possible for me to reverse my finance by insisting I return paperwork they had never sent me.

They were so pleasant until I told them there was an issue with the car, then they became rude and unhelpful.

After being I the trade myself for 4 years, coming to this fresh faced small family dealership has been an experience.
No haggling, scratches taken away without argument, fresh MOT and 2 new tyres.... and still got a discount.

I will definitely buy from RCS again
