Boarding up after a burglary was efficient.However, despite paying the invoice my 97 year old father received threatening letters demanding he pay. Phoning the company was irritating. Asking for a quick resolution did not work despite supplying the bank invoice details. After 2 weeks of waiting a further phone call told me the bill had been paid. When asked why I hadn't been phoned back, or received any communication I was told it wasn't company policy! Poor accounting, poor public relations. I will be contacting Suffolk police to ask why this company are used.

I wasn’t in attendance but they came quickly and secured the house.

Engineer was on time and did a quick clean job. Property was left secure and safe.

The best thing about the experience was how quickly they got to my property. It was a stressful situation and I just wanted the property secure and having someone turn up quickly to do that was a relief. He was in and out in less than 15 minutes. A true pro. I’m grateful.

Ignored a recent email of mine.
This regarded an extremely serious incident of the police forcing entry to my flat. I don't think I should be billed, but Rapid Secure have made sure I have. The incident regarded suicide ideation and an ambulance visit and Police visit. Non replying is extremely bad.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. The police called this company, following a burglary at our home. Why the police use such a company is beyond me but we are taking that up with the police. I have received an extortionate bill from them now and are very rude on the phone when you try and question. They are not members of the master locksmith association and quite frankly should be ashamed of themselves ripping people off especially after such a traumatic time of being burgled. Despicable company.

Thoroughly unpleasant to try and deal with. We bought a house last year and there were numerous letters to the previous owner which we marked as return to sender but kept a note of the return addresses on the outside of the envelopes. Letters from Rapid Secure to "Owner/occupier" suggesting we were responsible for the debt from 2023 with a court fee figure that seemed far higher than I could verify online. For small claims up to £300, I could only find a £35 fee applicable, not £110.

We tried calling Rapid Secure to explain we had bought the house and found they didn't really care. While we appreciate Rapid Secure would understandably want to recover this debt, trying to intimidate new homeowners who are not responsible for the debt is also wholly inappropriate.

Rapid Secure also tried to to say it was a police requirement to take my name in a further phone call to let them know when land registry would be updated. I phoned the local police to check and they advised given the nature of the letters and threat of court action, that I should not give my name to Rapid Secure and they would look into how this was being handled. Following my call to the police, we have received no further letters from Rapid Secure.

I can unfortunately see how their manner of doing business might scare people with less knowledge about how court action works into paying a debt that is not theirs but perhaps Rapid Secure is happy for this to happen.

Edit following Rapid Secure's reply: There was no need for the name on the envelope to change or for the letters to try and suggest there could be court action against the property itself. You knew the name of the owner in 2023 and therefore the name to be used for your charge. There has been no satisfactory reason given for Rapid Secure's decision to change this.

As above, the police advised that I should not give you my name given the nature of Rapid Secure's correspondence and confirmed to me that there was no police requirement for me to give you my name or any legal basis for court action to be threatened against the property itself. I'm unsure why confirming the reference number from your own letters would not be adequate and why further personal data would be required. I'm also not sure why Rapid Secure felt it was necessary to say this was a police requirement. I'm not sure if it would would even be legal to say something was a police requirement when police confirmed it wouldn't be.

The calls were very unpleasant and totally unnecessary for a new homeowner to have to deal with. Saying sorry at this point is completely hollow.

I own an HMO where the police forced entry to the property while looking for a former tenant who no longer lived there. Following the forced entry, the police instructed this company to "secure" the front door.

Their solution was to attach a padlock to the front door and leave just two keys for five tenants. This created a serious safety concern, as it significantly restricted the tenants' ability to enter and leave the property.

I was only informed after the work had been completed. As a result, I had to arrange and pay for a locksmith to remove the padlock, repair the lock, and restore the door to a safe and usable condition.

At no point did I instruct this company, authorise any work, or enter into any contract with them.

Six months later, I received an invoice for £252 for simply attaching a padlock. I have now received a letter threatening court action for non-payment.

I dispute that I owe this company anything and will be defending any claim they bring. My solicitor will be responding, and I will also be considering my own legal claim arising from this matter.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.
