I bought car insurance from a quote from Compare the Market comparison site. My profile on there included a previous claim from 2023. A few days later I had an email from the RAC saying I hadn’t disclosed that accident and they would take £251.53 from the card I used to pay the premium. I have emailed RAC with a screenshot of the declared accident from my profile on Compare The Market site and I have not yet received a reply, very disapointed.

Tried comparison sites and my renewal beat them, and was cheaper for this year than last! Well done

Renewal was straightforward (automatic); good, timely communications; most importantly, it was cheaper than last year!

I was with a person today whose car needed to be towed out of a ditch. She’d entered all the information on the RAC app but then was advised to phone the call centre. She waited at least 20 minutes to speak to someone, that’s a very long wait when you’re by the side of the road.

I had forgotten that I had made a claim 4 years ago and so had not entered it on the form applying for the Insurance, but they just told me about this with no fuss and told me that it would make no difference to the insurance or the cost of it. I had previously been with Tesco Insurance, but they outpriced themselves so I made the change to RAC knowing they are a reputable company.

Very happy with the quote for renewal ..tiny price difference from last year .Just as it should be .be happy to recommend this insurance company .

Unfortunately, I have had to make a claim during my policy by the person I spoke to on the phone was very helpful and supportive.
Note that all the claims management is outsourced to other companies and you can only use the Web chat to talk about any queries, however the person the Web chat was very helpful with my query once you get past the bot.
