I had the pleasure of attending the NextGen Payments & RegTech Forum Dublin in June 2026.

Great event, well organised. The topics covered were extremely relevant and an eye-opener into how the industry is developing with the advent of AI in payments.

It was great to meet some amazing people and reconnect with some old faces.

I had the privilege of speaking at the NextGen Payments & RegTech Forum in Dublin. It was a great event that was well organised, with great speakers, interesting content and really engaged audience, well done to the QUBE team and looking forward to next year.

I really enjoyed attending the Cube Events forum in Dublin. It was well organised, insightful and brought together excellent subject matter experts, peers and industry leaders. The discussions on compliance, AML, fraud, payments, RegTech and AI were practical and forward-looking. I would happily recommend Cube Events. A well organised event.

I recently attended the QUBE NextGen Payments & RegTech Forum in Dublin, and I was thoroughly impressed by how impeccably organized the entire event was from start to finish. The sessions went far beyond generic industry buzzwords, offering deeply insightful discussions on the future of open banking, AI-driven fraud prevention, and complex regulatory compliance. Beyond the fantastic content, the highly curated attendee list provided unparalleled networking opportunities with key decision-makers across the financial landscape. Ultimately, it was a brilliant and valuable experience that left me with actionable strategies and fantastic new industry connections.

I had a very positive experience at the Africa Payments & RegTech Forum. The event was well organised, with relevant topics, knowledgeable speakers and valuable industry insights. It also provided a good opportunity to network with professionals across the payments, compliance and RegTech sectors. Thank you to the Qube Events team for hosting a professional and insightful forum.

The standout was curation: Interoperability was woven throughout as a genuine through-line rather than buzzword, with speakers (Drisha Kirkman, Annelene Dippenaar, Esti Louw, Bradwin R., Chipo Mushwana, Hamish Houston) delivering concrete insights. Key takeaways included the tokenisation roadmap, the role of open finance in unlocking SA’s “banked on paper” paradox, and the Nedbank-JUMO playbook for reaching scale.

Most valuable was the reframing: compliance as competitive capability, not cost; cash still winning but evolving; and the deeper point—African payments infrastructure is ready for its team moment. The irony of racing to move money freely across borders while dialogue at home tightens wasn’t lost.

Well-run, relevant to anyone navigating fintech regulation and payments in African markets. Highly recommend.

Attending the Africa Payments & RegTech Forum was both an inspiring and eye-opening experience for me. Being in a room with industry leaders, innovators, and regulators gave me a real sense of how quickly the payments landscape in Africa is evolving and the role we all play in shaping it.

What stood out most to me was how relevant the discussions were to the work I do every day. Conversations around interoperability, cross-border payments, and the shift from open banking to open finance made me reflect on the practical challenges we face, but also the massive opportunities ahead especially in creating more accessible and efficient financial services across the continent.

I also found the sessions on fraud and consumer protection particularly impactful. They reinforced how important trust is in everything we build and deliver, and how critical it is to get this right as digital adoption continues to grow.

Overall, the forum didn’t just provide insights it shifted my perspective. I left feeling more informed, more motivated, and more intentional about the role I can play in contributing to the future of payments in Africa.

Added a new dimension to the discussion around the financial industry in Southern Africa. Important issues brought to the fore by people who know and matter.

What stood out was the quality of preparation in the room — speakers who had something real to say, not just a slide deck to get through.
Wiza Jalakasi's opening keynote set the tone for the entire day. The framing around infrastructure maturity versus growth stories is exactly the kind of distinction the industry needs more of.
The audience was a genuine cross-section — regulators, executives, practitioners, and founders — which made the conversations in the corridors as valuable as the sessions themselves.
The catering was excellent, the organisation was seamless, and the networking opportunities were well structured throughout the day.
