The owners, Tim Masters and his wife, Cindy, live with their five children less than a mile from the shop in La Grange Highlands, IL and are heavily invested in the community. Tim purchased the company from his mentor, Mr. Brixie, in 1995. Great Experience!
We walked in and had to wait only a few minutes while the associate finished up with another customer. We took that time to look around- we told the associate we were looking for a mattress for our 3 year old boy and she told us exactly which one to get based on his age, gender, and how long we plan to keep it. It wasn't the most expensive mattress either so I didn't feel like I was just being sold it to make commissions. Delivery was scheduled the same week and it was all seamless. Great experience and will definitely be going back for other mattress needs!

Exceptional Service and Quality
We purchased a bed for our daughter and were extremely pleased from our initial encounter with Tim the owner, through delivery. Tim was very knowledgeable and friendly. We wanted a mattress that did not contain harmful chemicals and he helped us find the perfect fit at a great price.
I would highly recommend this store!

Our mattress is less than 18mos
Our mattress is less than 18mos. The owner was very nice and informative. Our regrets are that we picked out a mattress that was way too firm, so then we purchased a top cushion from them. Unfortunately, it bunches up and is very uncomfortable.
Also, another regret we have is that the mattress we purchased has to be rotated and/or flipped 4 times a year. As senior citizens...I'm not sure what the heck we were thinking.

I'm sorry to hear that you're not in love with your mattress. We do often recommend a topper to soften a firm mattress, but if you're having issues with the topper itself and it's doing more harm than good - give us a call! In most cases we can adjust your mattress itself to provide more comfort.
With regard to flipping or rotating your mattress, that unfortunately is an industry standard. We personally feel as though rotating (as opposed to flipping) your mattress suffices in changing up the compression enough to extend its life. If you're having trouble doing so, we can also add handles to your mattress upon request. Give us a call so that we can make sure you sleep soundly in the future!

I was a bit surprised that the mattress was not as soft & comfy as the one in the store. My guess is that's because it's was brand new. Understandable, but I was so looking forward to the comfy 'hug' the store mattress had.
One reason I bought the mattress was that it could be turned over. It is a good substantial, heavy but 'floppy' mattress. Unfortunately there are no handles to grab and I have to ask my son for help.

Best mattress-buying experience ever
So happy the Quality Sleep Shop has the mygreenmattress line of mattresses to try out in-store! If you are in the Chicago area, it can be a good idea to call or visit the store (Quality Sleep Shop) instead of just ordering online because being local you have the extra option of another kind of mattress that's only sold/delivered locally due to shipping weight. Their service is also great -- very personable, helpful, and informative without being pushy in the least -- best mattress-buying experience ever. We've had our Pure Echo one-sided queen mattress for a month now and we love it - very good quality. We also got the Charleston Plus platform bed which is very sturdy and easy to assemble, a great value. Overall, I would definitely buy another mattress from them again.

Back Trouble, Shop IKEA
The bed we bought gave both my wife and I back problems. We've since purchased a mattress from IKEA and haven't had any of the issues. Not worth the price, even though we typically prefer to buy American made.

We do have a sleep trial as well as a warranty, and we encourage you to contact us if you're having issues. I do not show that you've called us to make us aware of your issues. I will say that the mattress you purchased is a base-level mattress that we usually recommend for children or guest rooms. You may want to try something out that has more support for your back. Give us a call if you'd like to swing by the shop!
