My first impression of PWH on the internet over two years ago motivated me to sign up for their Standard Book Publishing Package. Excitedly, I started sharing my manuscript and began editing the memoir I'd been writing in collaboration with the first project manager assigned to me. Quickly she and her colleagues encouraged me to purchase a new additional contract for marketing.
Meanwhile only the book cover creation process worked effectively and I would rate that much higher. Yet, once the book cover was created and some marketing information complete, the editing process seemed to slow down while the staff encouraged me to move toward setting a publish date before the book was even completed. Out of the blue the project manager congratulated me and said that two of the big 5 publishers were interested in my book. Since I had not given my permission for sharing my manuscript with any other business, their language and sales pitch appeared totally ingenuous. This disagreement in approach resulted in a change in project manager. Work continued and with some delays and minimal editing on their part. Early on they convinced me to order books and a website development and maintenance plan.
Meanwhile, my husband and I did the major editing work ourselves. More than a year into the process I received a proof copy which bolstered my spirits. Using this chance to make final edits together with second project manager because he promised a proof copy with a quick turnaround time.
At this point, 16-months into the process without explanation I stopped hearing from the second project manager by email/text and phone. His number had been disconnected. I panicked and in desperation reached out to the chat bot on the PWH website and emailed the book distribution department who were the only contacts I had. When I did this months later unexpectedly, I heard from a 3rd project manager who apologized profusely and reported that the 2nd manager had died, they were under new management and he promised to complete everything as planned. We tried to work together yet he kept having “emergencies” and further delays and ignored my requests. As any individual with integrity would, I refused to tolerate these unpredictable lapses in communication on top of the continual errors in manuscript edits and unexplained emergencies which were not my problem.
Three times over the course of several more months between April and August, 2026, I demanded a refund for the incomplete contracts and the books to be distributed, per the 100% money back guarantee. After another unexplained absence in communication, this 3rd manager did not call or answer his text/voicemail on the day we had arranged to talk. The next day he had a litany of apologies as usual. Finally, I could no longer tolerate such completely inexcusable and unprofessional behavior. Literally, PWH had completely broken my trust. These circumstances forced me to end my relationship with PWH. Nonetheless, I expected at least a partial refund. To date however, I have received nothing and no definitive word from anyone at PWH regarding the refund.

Company is a scam, they are based in pakistan and they ususally make promises of making best sellers of client books or to make clients books to the book fairs or top like barnes and noble stores, but its all fake, dont trust these guys, never worked with them, they usually come up with new domains, like they have premier ghostwriters, premier book writers etc, but they are the same guys just a new website,

Whole company is a scam. Any positive reviews are paid for. Was told whole thing would cost no more than $500.. then they needed more for this, that and everything else and my final bill was around $1500. I still never received my book, it was never made available for sale and company ignores every email I send. The location of this company is also fraudulent. Buyer beware!!!!!! Go to a company thats not criminal!

Whilst the assistance from my contact is positive, this company is disorganised. My first contact with itwas in January 2025. Reluctantly, we agreed on a three-month contract because it was still on the menu and I could afford that. I am still waiting. All payments paid, no copyright certificate, as yet, therefore no completion date. It is too late for me to go elsewhere, but please look around for other options and compare before making a decision. If you don't, you will lose the momentum to use your writing gift while waiting. Your talent is worth more than this

Do NOT use this company. It does not deliver on its promises nor is the quality of its work worth the cost. I signed up for a 3-month marketing package. The primary reason was because I was told that Professional Writers Help (PWH) guaranteed a 150% return on investment (ROI). I got less than a 3% ROI. I continually asked about this guarantee but kept getting the run around. Also, I paid for PWH to handle the copyright process for my book. However, when I received the print copy of my book, the ISBN numbers were missing, even though that was why I purchased that package. In addition, the editing work done as part of the publishing package was mediocre at best. The editor did not understand the nuances of the English language. Many suggested changes made the text incorrect. I also repeatedly asked for the final formatted file for my book, but it was never provided. Finally, I do not believe that this company is based in the U.S. even though it has telephone numbers based in California. This would not be a concern to me if the quality of work was acceptable and the guarantees made were honored. But that was not the case. Consequently, I suspect that many, if not all, of the positive reviews on this site were not written by actual PWH customers.

This company has a side gig running known as AmazonKDPPublisher.org. Stay far away. I foolishly thought that they were the legitimate KDP and started working with them. After I realized I'd been had, I disputed their charge with my credit card company who told me that the first step in the process was to contact the customer service department of AmazonKDPPublisher.org and gave me the phone number they had on file. This number turned out to be for the legal department at Amazon which they have no connection to. And I never did receive my edited manuscript.

12 months and still no book.
always wanting more money and saying that services and information from Govt agencies are wrong. Their work is second-rate, and does not look professional

I requested a refund in September of 2024 and the project manager tried to bully me into taking down my review by saying they could make it speedier if I took my review down. i refused because my experience was so bad and as you can tell from them trying to bully me into taking it down it is not a great company.

Now they will not respond to me. I have not been rude in any way.

I have tried multiple times to reach out through chat to be able to speak to someone. I got a response in December that I should expect an email from billing but still nothing and it has been over a month.

I have reached out a couple of times since via chat and they see my message and don't respond, today is another time (I screenshot it).

This is just such a bad company. I will keep you updated I guess through reviews so others know.

This has been such a bad experience. I go Emily as my project manager who NEVER responds. She responds when someone else calls me to see why things have not moved forward and I tell them I have emailed her with no response. I would absolutely not recommend this company and if you get Emily run. I requested a refund and still have not received a response I have followed up multiple times. It's so frustrating. I'm, pretty sure she has another job or is just really bad. I even requested someone else to work on this book and never received a response.

If I’m being honest, a lot of things that this company tells you when they give you a contract is not true. I’ve contacted many people that used this company for their manuscripts and help with getting their book published. This company did not deliver.

The way they do “editing” is by using AI.

You will be contacted by Noah Wilson, Dave Erikson, or some Rashel lady. They will tell you many things so that you sign with them. They will ask you for your money, take it, dish out a few mediocre chapters, then completely stop contact. I actually had to cybercrime for the employees to unblock me and give a “finished” product.

We began working with this company to help with the publishing of my daughter's book. We were made so many promises and we trusted them fully. That was our FIRST mistake. The first printed copy of the book contain 100's of mistakes and we were NOT satisfied in anyway. They would never confirm a date for the publication of the book. We terminated services with this company beginning in April with continued request for the money we spent to be returned to us. Many emails later, phone appointments missed, and complete disrespect once I had a phone converstaion with the finance department, we still have not received a refund. We had contracts stating that if we were in anyway dissatisfied with the services we were 100% guaranteed a return of the money. Since May 23rd, all calls and emails have been ignored and they no longer will communicate with us. We purchased a website which they have now totally disabled but did not return the money. Please ignore any reviews that you see that are positive, they are fake. Do NOT trust this company, they do want to publish your book. They want to take your money, make promises, and then NOT provide any of the promised services.

This company is 100% a scam.

I'm writing this review to give a warning to other's before this company fills other's with the same false promises they give me. They sent me a printed copy, they designed me a cover, and they built me a website. All things happened, but I was promised professional editing, wonderful marketing, and a top-notch experience. None of those things happened.
My writing received the worst editing imaginable with hundreds of mistakes when I received the final printed copy. I fully believe they copy and pasted my draft and manuscript and hoped I wouldn't notice they never edited the thing. As if the beta readers or myself didn't notice.
They never gave me a standard release date. They kept changing their minds and tried to pressure more money out of me every time I asked. I kept asking for a timeline of when they would release my book, but they never gave me an answer. Again, they kept pressuring more money out of me, insisting it was for the best.
This company has an L.A number and office, but it's likely they are based out of state. The office address takes you to a book store. All the client reviews on their website aren't real authors. None of the books they claimed to have edited actually exist. I should have taken these red flags seriously, but their sweet words and my excitement blinded me.
I can not stress enough, please don't trust them. Do not be blind like I was. The debt they put us in is large. Don't make my mistakes. This company should feel ashamed of lying to naive aspiring writers such as myself, but I know they won't because they will never be punished. We tried to reach out to the company for a refund and the credit card company, but nothing worked. The funds will not be returned, and I feel cheated and betrayed. No one is taking this scam seriously. They put us in so much debt after promising us the book would be a success. I feel betrayed, trapped, and saddened because I truly believed that what they said. I believed they were a genuine small indie house, but I was wrong. All I can do now is hopefully warn others.

Fraudulent and Deceptive Practices
This Company, a professional writing book marketing service, promises a 100% Money-back guarantee in case of dissatisfaction. I informed them I was dissatisfied with the quality of the marketing service and requested a full refund. They refused to honor the agreement. What's more, they violated the Non-disclosure agreement by posting a Halloween picture of my book sitting in a graveyard with tombstones all around and a hand coming up from the ground as if it was pulling the book (a book about Christianity) into a grave. When I called my assigned representative about my concerns, he offered an insincere apology, which only highlighted their lack of genuine concern for my experience. However, the amount of damage cannot be determined since it was posted before Halloween and was not discovered until a week into November. The non-disclosure agreement clearly states the following: The Company acknowledges and agrees that in connection with the Services, the Client may disclose to the Company information, including, but not limited to, Methods, processes, formulae, compositions, systems, techniques, inventions, machines, computer programs and projects, and raw data. Information of a personal and confidential nature would be kept between the Client and the Company and would not be leaked out whatsoever.

The agency later offered a 40% reimbursement because I threatened to file a claim with the Public Inquiry Unit Office of the Attorney General. This offer is far from the 100% I was promised and shows their need for more fairness, especially since only a few of the promises had even been started four months into the process.
I strongly recommend against using Professional Writers Help or, at the least, holding them accountable for every step of the process.
