A really good re homing organisation. I adopted our lovely little dog almost 1 year ago. The whole process was very thorough and I would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them.

Adopted a pup from Pro Dogs Direct and was really pleased with the attention they gave to the application. They have a rigorous process which means the dogs placed with new families will be the best match possible.
In our case it was the perfect match and the wait for our application to be assessed and approved, and then our home check completed, meant we had every faith that they had put other pup first in the whole process. Our pup had extra medical needs and her condition was explained to us in detail so we fully understood the implications and her future potential needs. I cannot thank this rescue enough for the work they do and their commitment to making forever homes work for the dogs that come into them. Please be patient with the process. The volunteers are amazing and dedicated and the end result will be worth the wait.

Such a professional Rescue who always put their dogs placement before anything else and that’s as it should be.

Sometimes your application maybe not be successful but don’t let that put you off and keep applying because the correct match is a must.

Personally my partner and myself have only re homed from Prodogs twice but definitely would not hesitate to apply again and will do in the future.

As a family we have adopted 33 Rescue dogs so have dealt with many Rescues and Prodogs are right up there with the best in our opinion.

In December 2023 I rehomed PDD Pepper Cavalier - did I have to fill in a number of forms for different dogs that I was not suitable for, yes, but that just goes to show the dedicated that the charity has in wanting to make sure that the canine goes to the correct fit home. I was successful with Pepper and within in 3 weeks (would have been 2 but I was ill) I had had a home check and had taken my 3 dogs to meet the fosterers to make sure they all got on. Between application & adoption I spoke to the fosterers numerous times and we continue to email over the last year. I keep the charity and the fosterers up to date with Pepper because they truly chose the right match.

If it is meant to be, it will be but it might not be the first dog you apply for and be totally honest.. Everyone is friendly, professional, full of advice and the care package they give you with your dog was amazing.

I have adopted twice from Pro Dogs Direct…. They literally saved both of their lives, one needed urgent surgery to save her leg, and I saw her appeal for fund raising for it…. I donated a couple of times, and applied to adopt…. We were lucky to be chosen, and went on to adopt another 2 years later….. they are run by the loveliest people, and I sometimes help out on the social media side…. Through our own Instagram page we ran a raffle and was able to donate over £1k to Pro Dogs which saved 2 cockerpoos lives enabling them to have life saving heart surgery…. Over the 5 years I have supported them, they have saved so many dogs lives and so many more have had new homes carefully chosen for them and are enjoying their second chance at a happy ever after… rescues are drowning at the moment, and sadly see the negative side of people who don’t get chosen…. As I’ve noticed from a spiteful review from Richard further down…. It sounds like someone who is not suitable for a dog, didn’t like being rejected…. Pro dogs is not a scam, its run by a grp of selfless amazing people who go above and beyond to save the lives of so many dogs, medically help those who are ill, or injured, the fosters are incredible and bring them on ready to start new lives with carefully chosen new families

Absolutely love this charity . The care and consideration they have for each of their dogs is amazing. The only reason the process can be a little bit longer is because they need to make sure that the dog is going to the right owner. They have rehomed dogs that have been mistreated, abandoned and born with health issues. Through donations they help the dogs to become healthy and happy dogs. The team are amazing. Someone complained about not getting a reply to an email. If you received a ton of emails, for a dog, surely you would want to go through each email individually to find the perfect owner.

Having been a volunteer foster carer for prodogs for many years I can say first hand how much time, effort and love and money is put into each and every dog that they rescue. The amount of applications that they receive for each dog varies but I have gone through applications for all dogs that I fostered so the amount of effort you put into your application really makes you stand out as a potential adopter. They want the best home suitable for each and every dog. They certainly do not make profit. They are a charity run by volunteers NOT a business. Highly recommend them

Amazing charity that works tirelessly for the dogs they care for . Totally non - profitable and doing their utmost to make sure dogs are re homed carefully and safely. Please support this wonderful charity and the staff who work so hard . God bless you all .

Pro Dogs Direct are an excellent charity who really care about dogs. All of their dogs are in foster homes prior to being adopted, so this helps them to ensure that they know what type of home each dog needs. Their fosterers are amazing. We adopted Hazel from Pro Dogs Direct and would recommend them to anyone wanting to rescue a dog.

A wonderful rescue and charity. It goes that extra mile to re-home the dogs in its care to suitable forever homes, thus minimising the possibility for "returns" and added trauma to the dog concerned. It was also the added extras which really impressed me: the "new home" pack my rescue came with and the post adoption follow up (by email) was a much welcomed surprise.

As others have alluded to, a bottomless pit of applications, no feedback at all and yet we are expected to fill out an onerous form for EACH dog suitable. I also think they are making money out of this and it's a business, although poorly run. The organisation is either a scrupulous money making machine or an incompetent bunch of do-gooders that have no clue how to administrate!

A brilliant dog rescue who really care about the dogs they re-home. The dogs live with volunteers rather than in kennels and the pre-adoption vetting process is very thorough and totally focussed on getting each dog the right home. Have adopted two dogs from them now and can't sing their praises highly enough.
