Good experience so far but still waiting for matching
I had a smooth experience with the verification process on Prodigy Finance,everything was clear and professional. However, it’s been over two weeks since I completed verification, and my application is still stuck in the matching stage.
My classes are starting in September, and I am now getting very close to my university’s final deadline. This delay is causing a lot of anxiety as I am depending on this loan to secure my seat and make the necessary arrangements.
I kindly request the Prodigy team to expedite the matching process for my loan. I truly appreciate the platform and your support for international students, just hoping for a faster resolution now, given the urgency.

Approved, confirmed, then cancelled days before deadline
I was approved by Prodigy in March 2025 and received repeated emails from April through June assuring me that my funds were reserved exclusively for me. I trusted that confirmation to plan my second year of studies in the U.S.
However, just two weeks before the payment deadline, I was suddenly informed last Friday via a generic message that my loan was canceled due to global demand. No direct explanation was provided, despite several emails I sent requesting a reconsideration, including their complaints email address.
Instead, I was referred multiple times to apply with a different company, which does not address the specific concerns I raised about the reversal of my approved loan.
This experience has been extremely disappointing, especially given the timing. I asked Prodigy to review this case with the seriousness it deserves and to consider the commitments made in prior communications.

The verification process was easy and fast but the matching process is taking over 4 weeks and it afects directly to obtain my CAS, my visa takes another 3 weeks and my course starts in september. Unexplainable delay in the matching stage
I don't know what is going on but my loan matching is delayed for about 22 days since i did my verification. My school resumption in UK is Sept 2025 and i have not made headway on my visa application and CAS because i believed Prodigy will match my application and provide loan confirmation letter soon. This delay is getting out of hand and it will be responsible of Prodigy to inform applicants on case-by-case basis why their application is delayed in the matching stage instead of sending generic email response to inquiries.

Loan can get cancelled despite being matched and confirmation letter being issued. Be prepare to get a second lender as back up
I was initially matched and approved for a student loan through Prodigy Finance, which gave me a strong sense of financial security heading into my graduate program. However, the experience quickly turned stressful. Despite meeting all stated criteria and having submitted all required documents, my loan was suddenly cancelled after being matched and having a loan confirmation letter, the official reason was there was no sufficient funding anymore
This caused enormous stress and uncertainty at a critical moment in my academic journey.
International students already face a complex web of financial and visa-related logistics. A more transparent and accountable process especially around final decision-making and document verification would go a long way in rebuilding trust.
I already reached out to the complaint email listed but I didn't get any response, I did asked to get a refund on my 500 that was paid to secure the funds,

The verification team was not…
The verification team was not straightforward. They were unnecessarily delaying and changing the requirements. They will ask for a document only for them to say we need another one after you have provided it. Sometimes takes ages to tell you it has been rejected. There was abit of shoddy work. I provided my address which could easily be verified by goggling but the verifier saw another estate in another part of the country with similar name and assume i lied. Only for me to goggle to show her, mine also has a similar name. Had my address on a bank statement but still said they needed a document for address. My experience was horrible

Well structured and competitive offer
All the process was very organized and structured, it was really hard at the beginning to complete all the documentation cause they were very demanding on how to upload everything, but that gave me more confidence about the company.
